We went here in oct 2022 ( wouldn't give option above) all we can say is this place was amazing. The staff are so friendly and always asking how we were and how our holiday was going. Stayed for one week bed and breakfast. Breakfast was toast egg cereal fruit salad ham bread honey yoghurt ( at no extra cost) and tea coffee orange juice milk. You could have as much as you liked all fresh and served by very friendly kitchen staff. Room was very clean and linen and towels fresh plenty of space for clothes and cases balcony good size with a sea view and you could watch the sun rise and set over a big cliff/mount. The pool was very clean and the snack bar well stocked and clean fresh smelling toilets at the side. The lounge bar had a tv and plenty of comfy seating which was nice and plenty of interaction and chats from other guests and staff. Lots of information leaflets available about transports and trips etc ( which we took advantage of ) . Used a local trip company Ztours who were fabulous and picked you up and dropped you off at the doors. Only disadvantage was the steps up to the room but tbh if your able bodied then its not really a problem. Walkways were very clear and clean and plants well kept. This really is a cracking hotel and a fabulous place to stay. Maria was front of house and was brilliant, anything you wanted she would get which was very helpful and always had a smile and friendly chat with you at every opportunity. Walking back to the hotel was a bit of a jaunt as uphill but the fact that the hotel was so nice didn't really phase us . Would we stay here again? ABSOLUTELY . Lots of lovely little tavernas along the way to the beach which served beautiful fresh food and very good value for what was given to you

This is the second time we've stayed at The Hermes Hotel. We came in 2022 too, and loved the hotel, the people and the setting so much, we just had to come again!. We may come another year as Kefalos and Kamari grow on you, it's such a chilled and quiet place away from the crowds and nightlife. A truly relaxing place!.

We have just returned from a wonderful 8 night stay. My husband and I travelled with my father in law. We were greeted by the lovely Diana who always had a smile and was so helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was absolutely fine for us. Rooms and the hotel in general were spotlessly clean. All members of staff were really lovely. Really lovely pool area with a bar where we also sometimes had lunch. We hired a car which I would highly recommend if you want to see more of Kos. We will definitely return one day as we had such an enjoyable stay. Thank you

The hotel is very clean. Poole area was excellent and quiet. Negatives Breakfast is pointless no hot food pastries. It's literally toast and few meats. Bowl of Greek yougart. The rooms have no TV no phones. And could punch through wall. Have a joining doors and cam hear everything next door.

Family what we saw of them were ok.Breakfast very good, pool area very nice. The room we were in should not be used for guests.Dangerous missing and broken tile on the balcony. cracks in the walls skirting boards off the wall on the back wall of the bed. Lamp shades held together by staples shocking.fridge all rusty bottle holder bar inside missing.walls very poor paint work.wood work in disrepair.Bathroom door at the bottom all broken taps corroded shower head the same. The Shower was hot and powerful curtains hanging off the pole.we paid extra £30 euros to keep our room on which we have done at other hotels in kefalos we never got any clean towels that day nor was the bins emptied all other hotels provide this not here.our stay was short 5 days we arrived late evening so had we asked to move we didn’t want to repack everything we knew we would not come back so just put up with it.Cleaners did clean the room every day and fresh towels no problem with these hard working staff.we paid extra for Aircon 7/euros a day and was told not to use it if we was not in our rooms so we couldn’t recharge tablets in the day.

Stayed at this Hotel for 11 nights and enjoyed our stay, as stated the Hotel was up a hillside although we are early seventies we do not have any walking difficulties so we managed ok, was probably a 15/20 mins walk down to the sea front, bars & restaurants, would be quite long uphill walk to the Old Village, we hired a car for 6 days so was out & about visiting Kardamena, Mastihari and Tinkaki. Had a sea view room room at the Hotel which was up a flight of steps from reception, there were rooms higher than ours up further steps, room was nice & cleaned regularly, all staff were friendly, we took a travel kettle with us for a morning cuppa on the balcony Lovely pool area & snack bar, breakfast in the restaurant was continental, nice selection, you could pay extra to have fried /scrambled eggs. Have been to Kefalos before and enjoy the laid back bars & Restaurants and countryside walks.

Me and my girlfriend stayed 10 nights at Hermes Hotel and we had the most amazing time. The staff at the hotel were amazing, so friendly and really helpful. The hotel is clean with a really nice pool area. The rooms are simple and based but you expect when you go to Greece however the room were cleaned every day and have a nice balcony area. We will definitely be staying in this hotel again.

Lovely family run hotel which sits on a steepish road up from Kefalos with steep steps up to some of the rooms, great for walking off a few calories after eating out at the many restaurants and tavernas down by the sea. Fantastic views so it is worth the climb. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with shower, hairdryer and mini fridge. Also reasonable storage. The rooms are cleaned every day apart from Sunday with fresh linen and towels everyday too. The corridors outside the rooms can be noisy and echoing late at night with people returning to their room but most people are respectful, you always get the one bad apple. The balcony is small but ok. They are not private at all which is fine as long as the neighbours are friendly. The pool was spacious and always beds available throughout the stay. The breakfast was basic but perfectly acceptable. The lady owner is lovely and very helpful. Thankyou for a lovely stay, hope to return one day.

Very friendly, family run establishment. Extremely friendly staff. Rooms cleaned to a good standard daily. Rooms are basic, but contained a fridge. If a kettle or fan were desired, these items could be obtained for a daily charge. The security deposit boxes also demanded a charge, but these boxes are in a room opposite the reception desk and not in the room. No TV. The rooms were located in accommodation blocks with a couple of them being accessed either by an extremely steep and long ramp or many, many steps. There was a good sized balcony area attached to each room. No lifts. We had booked a sea view room, and though it certainly faced the direction of the sea, this was a ground floor room whose view of the sea was obscured by bushes. The pool the area was kept tidy and clean by industrious staff but the pool appeared to have a lot of debris within it. I do not know if the pool itself was cleaned or treated during my 5 night stay. There were always sunbeds available at all times of day and the pool wasn’t so busy that it was difficult to enjoy. Breakfast was included, but this was limited to bread, fruit, fruit juice, tea/coffee, boiled eggs, cold meats, yoghurts, cereal, cheese and cake. For an additional charge, other meals could be bought. There was a snack bar by the pool which supplied a good range of light meals and drinks which weren’t too costly. No entertainment during the day or night. Very relaxed atmosphere. There was a pool table and table tennis table in a room behind the reception, but it was very dark, with a very small window and poorly lit. The equipment was very worn. Hotel is located up a hill, and although not extremely steep, the walk back up to it from the sea front feels long in the strong sunshine. I had a late evening flight and for a charge of €30, I was able to ohtain a late checkout of 18.30. The issue with checking out at 11am when you have a late transfer is that there were no showers in the communal areas of the hotel or a secure place to store luggage. Luggage could be kept in the room containing the pool/table tennis tables but this wasn’t observable from the reception desk. I would certainly return.

Great Hotel with stunning views. All the staff were genuinely lovely and accommodating. The rooms were basic but very clean with large balcony area and fridge. It was definitely worth the €7 per day for air con. The pool was lovely and large with plenty of sunbeds to choose from. The pool bar was very nice with snacks and ice cream available. The bar/lounge area was also very nice with the stunning views from some of the outside tables. The. Hotel was more or less in the middle of the old village and the harbour with quite a climb up to the village, but we'll worth it as the views from the castle were amazing. All in all we had a fantastic holiday. The only downside was the steep steps up to some of the rooms. Not for us though, we saw it as a way to burn off the extra holiday calories!
