My family of 25 people held our reunion which lasted 7 days at Reef Beach Resort last December 28-Jan 4. It was a blast because all our needs were taken care of efficiently- accommodation, transportation, tours, food, and whatnot. Aside from the very strategic location as it is situated near cloud 9 and Gen Luna, it also has its own pool where my nephews and nieces enjoyed swimming all throughout their stay at the resort, not to mention the cute doggos and the very laid back and homey atmosphere the resort had. We also cooked our food and occasionally ordered some sumptuous food from the restaurant. The staff were very courteous and attentive to attend to all our needs. Reef beach resort did not fail to amaze me and my family re the quality service they rendered to their guests. My recent stay was my 6th time in Reef beach. I highly recommend reef beach resort.

Stayed for a month. The staff was great - responds quickly to requests and very accommodating.
The room was cozy and of a minimalist style, which I prefer and love. It's solar powered, so power interruption was never a problem.
I loved the feeling of privacy that the resort provided, they have a swimming pool and a gym! A very accessible way of maintaining your fitness routine.
The location is beachfront, and they have benches facing the sea which allows you to witness the beauty of sunrise every morning.
Loved the overall experience.

Was here Feb 12 - 14 2023, my wife and i had a valentines date in Siargao. Booking was quick and efficient, pickup to and from the airport was a breeze. The staff were all very polite and prim and proper, typical Filipino hospitality trait abounds here. Located about 50 pesos and 10 minutes away from Cloud 9.

Food in the resort was delicious, choices are limited but the taste is quite good. Kudos to the chef and to the servers of the restaurant. Me and my wife loved the grilled mahi mahi fish. Breakfast was standard Filipino or American breakfast which is ok, given that the price per night is not too high.
The very helpful front desk helped us arrange the island hopping tour. i've been around the Philippines so i am comparing with the likes of Coron Cebu Davao El Nido and Boracay. what stands out in Siargao is really the clean waters of the beach and the surfing omg. one point though, if you are a beginner surfer, try learning from the left side of Cloud 9 as i think there are fewer if any rocks in the surfing area. The right side of Cloud 9 is where i tried learning and unfortunately i hit my arm under one of the underwater rocks, i got scraped skin about 4 inches x 1.5 inches, serves as my Siargao tattoo i guess.

Arrived at RBR expecting good size resort with access to beach and swimming. The beach has limited access. This wasn’t an issue but it would have been nice to be aware that there’s no access to main beach. Rooms were good with full cooking options. Location was okay approx 2km to central Luna. Security guy was fantastic! Arranged a friend to drop motoci at the resort which was brilliant. My partner cooked him dinner which made him so happy.
The restaurant wasn’t that good. No seafood although on the menu. I’d expect a 4 star resort to have an abundant of fresh seafood. No reason as to why whereby close by bbq’s has unlimited fish.
WiFi didn’t work in the rooms and reception WiFi extremely poor to download files. The pool was good for a refreshing swim. The rating above only allows (average-very good) I’d rate RBR good! Not average and not very good. Somewhere in the middle. Improvement in WiFi and restaurant food offering would improve this rating

Hi Geoff, Good day and thank you for staying with us! We appreciate all your feedback and we will try to work on it. Apologies for the insufficient supply of seafood, since you stayed in Siargao during the storm season, supplies are really hard to find because fishermen have difficulties fishing because of the weather. Same goes with the WIFI. However we can assure you that during sunny days our WIFI works fine. Hoping to accommodate you again in the future! :)

Overrated is an understatement. For the price it offers there are way better resorts in same area.
1. Beach is rocky. Not for swimming.
2. The beach view studio, most expensive room at ₱8000++, did not offer the basic incidentals we are used to like hand soap, lotion, tooth brushes, regular towel ( theirs were so thin), face and hand towels, slippers etc…
3. There is an annoying noise every 2 mins and lasts 1.5 minutes all night and day. It kept me up until 5:30 am with earphones!
4.There was hammering or noise from downstairs (kitchen maybe)at 8:am ( I had only 2.5 hours of sleep) so room was not sound proof.
5. The facility decor and furniture are run down and old especially for the price +.
6. We are both seniors and their stairs looks like a trip hazard and very dingy.
7. The safe doesn’t work also
8. We found cobwebs behind the side table after seeing a spider.
All in all, it is overpriced for a dilapidated resort.

In contrast, the staff is very friendly and accommodating but these issues can’t be replaced or fixed with smiles and good service.

The Reef Beach Resort is a nice establishment right on the water with a super friendly staff. The room was very clean+comfortable. If you're looking for something to do the staff will assist with setting up different tours. It costs 30-40 pesos/person (50-60 cents) for a tricycle ride into the village with all the shops and restaurants. The resort also has a restaurant and they do a good job - starting with breakfast. Other meals are all freshly cooked when ordered and the ones I tried were professionally prepared and tasty. I will go back!

Super-Typhoon”Odette”

1000 thank-you’s owed to owners Paul, his Wife and the entire RBR staff. We stayed from mid Sep through Odette’s landfall. During the storm we were safe & secure in our room (thanks to the solid construction of the resort) I was personally amazed at the vigilance and overall class of service & support extended by the RBR Team
Super thankful that we chose Reef Beach resort as our home for 3 months.

Paul,

We appreciate you and will never forget the protection your resort offered along with the top shelf hospitality displayed from your team!!!

God Bless,

Jason and Ella (Unit 9)

Post script (for those concerned)

From my understanding there were no physical injuries suffered by reef beach resort guests or staff as a result of the typhoon.

Vacation made extra special with the very accommodating and friendly staff (the amenities and food is just second, don't get us wrong). The people is very approachable and we did not have a hard time asking for recommendations about the best place to go on a tour or even the coolest hang out place. To Ferson and the rest of the team, thank you so much for making our stay unforgettable. We will definately come back.

RBR made my Siargao experience extra special.

The resort is about 3-5 minutes away from everything so the location is perfect.

Staff were very friendly. Every staff member greets you when they see you. They'll attend to your request right away even if it's already out of what the resort has promised. Truly, they treat you like a queen! Kudos to Ferson , the General Manager, for running resort and for keeping everything up to standard.

The foods the kitchen offers are delicious too. The serving is almost good for two, so worth your every penny!

There is also a security 24/7 so I felt safe during my stay.

Overall, RBR is a total package. Will definitely stay here again for sure.

If I recall correctly it was between Php 4-5 thousand per night. I just checked some booking apps & they are sold out for the dates you prefer. Best contact the resort directly. Good luck!
