Discovery Coron Hotel captivates guests with its serene oceanfront setting, often applauded for its scenic views and peaceful ambiance. The staff's warmth and attentiveness stand out, although occasional slow service has been noted. Rooms, celebrated for their spaciousness and special decorative touches for events, receive mixed reviews regarding their upkeep.
While the resort's natural charm and amenities like snorkeling are highlights, the value proposition receives scrutiny, particularly concerning food pricing. Cleanliness generally meets guests' expectations, but some areas call for attention.

Hotel's Favorite
We spent 8 wonderful days at Club Paradise from 19-26 December 2023. Quite the perfect vacation - great ocean view rooms, decent food, easy to book trips and most of all, friendly, thoughtful and attentive service. Kudos to hotel manager Joegil, and his excellent team especially Shaun, Jason, Grace, Mark, Jun and Hana who went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. Enjoyed sumptuous Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinners, and a special evening under the stars. Everything is provided for - just bring your swimwear. Rooms came with water, snacks, sun cream, insect repellant. Snorkels, fins and towels at the pool and even sand toys for kids. Book the Coron Island tour - hassle free (much cheaper though if you bother to arrange directly with the many tour operators in Coron town). We also went on a Dugong watching tour which was a magical experience as we got to swim with a dugong! All our guides were friendly, patient and put safety first. Overall, a highly recommended experience. Rather pricey compared to other beach vacations we’ve had in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia. But the island is a tad more remote and everything has to be imported.

I went to Club Paradise with family and we had a wonderful time. Service was excellent as usual from the time we got picked up from the airport up to our departure, the pastillas during the boat ride was a great touch. Jayson was awesome! We stayed in a sunrise villa and housekeeping team made sure our villa was always filled with water and surprise snacks. Irah from front desk was also friendly and accommodating, she was so patient with my toddler who was having a slight tantrum during the halloween activity. Service from Phoebe was great too though I could sense that they were a bit undermanned given the high occupancy rate during that holiday weekend. The heated pool was a hit as well. Only department that needs improvement is F&B, the food was inconsistent and most items were very bland. We even had to ask for salt and pepper since the salpicao had no flavor at all. On our first night, we ordered the bucket of fries for our child and got pretty decent potato wedges. We ordered the same bucket of fries on our second night and got soggy thin fries. The breakfast spread was also a let down, I mean who serves ginisang sitaw (day 1) and pinakbet (day 2) for breakfast? Breakfast options were also very limited and if you could work on this, it would really make the guest experience spectacular.

This was our first time in Palawan and the Club Paradise Palawan team exceeded our expectations. I would like to thank everyone on the team and a special shout out to Sir Chris, Ms. Eunice, Ms. Jane, Ms. Zherlyn, Sir Jeric at the Dugong Bar, Sir Shaun, Ms. Sheena, Sir Cards, Captain Jayson, Sir Mon, Sir Gab for making our stay extra special. From arrival, we had a warm welcome and a beautiful view while having lunch. Ms. Jane was always there during our meals and was very kind to us. Ms. Zherlyn and Ms. Eunice were very accommodating and went out of their way to make us feel at home. I had a terrible sunburn but Ms. Eunice took the initiative to make me feel comfortable. She brought me fresh aloe vera and she made me a lemon water spray for my face. Sir Shaun, Sir Mon and Sir Gab made my birthday night extra special with their attentiveness and how friendly they were! Thank you Sir Shaun for putting together our meal and for recommending dishes & playing the guitar! Sir Jeric at the Dugong Bar makes great cocktails and I love how he explains what he’s serving to you, he is very friendly! Sir Cards welcomed us and started our trip perfectly with a welcome and brief explanation of Coron and the trip on the way to the island. He also made me very emotional on the way back and made me not want to leave even more. And a very big thank you to Sir Chris for guiding us throughout our whole stay and for being the best guide we’ve ever had. He took time to snorkel with us, hike with us and show us the best of the island. Everyone at Club Paradise Palawan were genuine and sincere. The service was amazing and it really felt like family even just after 4 days. The resort itself is so beautiful and everything you would want in an island escape/adventure from kayaks, snorkeling gear, fins, to paddle boards and the nature/wildlife experience is all there. Thank you once again for a beautiful, memorable stay. I truly had the best birthday!
Thank you also to the housekeeping team for a great turndown service and for always keeping our room extra clean. They provided us with snacks to try every evening, had a beautiful welcome set up of essential items such as masks, alcohol spray, wipes etc with a bag to carry around.
We will surely be back and I highly recommend this resort!

We paid over $550 a night for this hotel and it was a huge disappointment in quality and service. My husband and I are well traveled and have stayed at many a high end resorts around the world and this has been by far the biggest waste of our money. Let me start by saying the island was flawless and lived up to the name paradise but that’s where it all starts and ends.
The good
1) The View
2) The size of the room
3) Airport pick up
4) online booking and communications. Frances was great but never met him in person.
The bad
1) Many items on the menu were unavailable to order. Almost everything we ordered was ill prepared and not fresh. For example, the first night I ordered green curry and it was good but spicy so the second night I asked for it less spicy thinking the food is fresh but it just came with cream on top!
2) A small tube of sunscreen was $20! Felt like a rip off and most resorts at this price point just have free flowing sunscreen
3) We were there for the New Year’s Eve and the food was horrendous! We paid an exorbitant amount for this gala and the food was horrendous! All I could have was plain quinoa (it was supposed to have veggies but I didn’t find any) as a vegetarian and my husbands meat skewers were raw.
4) I understand we are in nature and there are animals that are living here but there was no communication from the staff about the animals and expectations. There was a bat in the bush near the garden villas and it nearly hit my husband in the face (flying low) on the way to dinner and it was frighting!
The ugly
1) The mugs at brunch and in the room had dead bugs in it.
2) There were bugs crawling into the food at the brunch
3) The staff was unavailable and inattentive. Most all of our asks and requests were met by a “deer in the headlight” looks and stares until we just said never mind. For example, we ordered sparkling water at breakfast but didn’t finish the bottle. We wanted to go to the beach so we asked for the bottle to be delivered to our room and it never made it — this was a bottle we paid for! However, the one thing the staff was on top of was getting all the receipts signed.
4) I was asked for dietary restrictions before the trip and I repeated it so many times everyday, yet I got food with shrimp in it (even though it was from the vegetarian section of the menu)
Also, no one asked for any feedback when we checked out (again shows the lack of service). If someone had asked would have provided some real time feedback.

Dear wanderlust8758, Thank you for the honest review of your recent stay with us. Please accept our apologies that we did not meet your expectation and did not enjoy much of the New Year's eve gala not like the rest of the guests . We prepared several vegetarian and vegan meals during the dinner as we have other guests who have the same meal preference. I even went to everyone's table to ensure that everyone enjoyed the dinner and should they need other dishes outside of the buffet spread, we can prepare it for them. If we failed to meet your expectations, again, we sincerely apologize. In spite of these shortcomings, we hope you had a wonderful stay We wish you all the best in 2020! Joegil 'Joeg' Magtanggol M. Best island vacation experience ever!
Room type: sunset villa deluxe
Room review: as described in website. Can fit 4 people and still have enough space to walk around inside. Toilet needs small repair but overall no other complaints. Hot water and flush works perfectly fine.
Villa is also cleaned everyday.
Some sunset villa are closer to shoreline. Ours is a bit further, it is still close but have to walk a few steps more than other villa.
Sunset villa is still the best villa to stay compared with their sunrise or ocean/garden view suites, imo, because of its location.
Bar/fire fish resto: has wide range of food choices. Breakfast buffet is different every day. You will never tire of the foods in the restaurant. I highly recommend their halo-halo Turon and sticky rice with mango!
Pool: is average resort pool. Water is warm so it is nice to swim there. Kids had fun swimming.
Beach: beach in Palawan is great, white sand, clear water and lots of corals and fishes. Club paradise is a snorkeling destination. Some beach area has clear sandy bottom, so you have to go there if you only want to swim in the beach, and not step on the corals. Other side has more corals and is better for snorkeling.
Staff: Very hospitable and friendly staff. From the airport/boat transfer staff, to the resort and maintenance staff, everyone is customer oriented. The best I’ve experienced so far.

Beautiful island and very secluded if that’s what you want so no other shops, hotels or places to eat and the nearest island is still a fair distance away. Normally I would have loved this but I found the food below average and over priced and not having the option to eat anywhere else or even get snacks made it difficult.
The staff were all very friendly and the GM was always present and welcoming guests which was nice. However good hospitality can only go so far and I did find the resort to be a little tired and run down. There are only a few things to do on the island, one of which was the walk to eagles point, this was nice but ruined a little by the building works going on. The tennis courts were closed for maintenance, as was the outdoor adventure area for kids which was a shame.
The hotel are doing a lot of things for the environment which is great to see and I’m sure even more can be done going forward.
There are some things you need to accept with it being a remote island such as poor WiFi and we also didn’t have any hot water when we first arrived. Also the wildlife is worth mentioning, personally I loved it but if you have a fear of bats then you may not like it!

Dear nikPlymouth, We appreciate your honest review of your recent stay. If we have not met your expectations, in any way, please accept our sincerest apologies. As you may have noticed, developments of the resort is on going. Hence, we have to close down facilities like the tennis court to make way for better facilities. The paradise relay is not intended for kids and intended only for teenagers and adults. For safety, we have to do annual maintenance check so we have to closed it for use during your stay. Thank you for understanding. Thank you for visiting us here and we wish you all the best in 2020! Joegil 'Joeg' Magtanggol M. Escobar Hotel Manager-Club Paradise Palawan

We were in the resort to celebrate new year, we had to wait 1 hour for the speedboat to fetch us at the pier , all the staff we have talked to are like dumbfounded when we complained our room getting flooded by the waves of the sea. Service is so bad that even ordering a drink takes forever. Also they charged a mandatory 7k php per pax which they excluded drinks from the bar. Totally abusive.
Please don’t rate yourself as 5 star and charge 500 usd per nite as I felt like being in a 2 star resort.
For those visiting, please bring a lot of patience and rechargeable lamps as blackouts occur regularly

Dear mahreeat, Please accept our sincerest apologies for not having met your expectations. Your boat transfer was delayed as transferring the guests out of the island took a while as the waves our quite strong. Consequently, there was a delay since he same boats were used to pick you up from the port. There was a surge of waves that hit your villa hence, we need to transfer you to a different room during the night. This was unexpected, and we don't experience this situation before. Rest assured, the Management has a long term plan to address this matter. The resort is running on generator sets and unfortunately, one of our units malfunctioned and we need to do some maintenance works. It may interest you to know that this has already been addressed by our Engineering team. Again, we do apologize if you felt that the New Year's eve surcharge was exuberant. The dinner we prepared by the Culinary Team for everyone was special and we hope you can still consider spending New Year's eve again with us. We wish you Happy New Year and all the best! 4 days was never enough. In fact, we miss them already. The service was very personalize yet professional. From the airport where the driver will welcome you and explain the travel time and assist you with your things to Boat ride wherein Mr. Cards will brief you and tell you a bit of history of the area and the resort. He was also sweet as he would take pictures for you. Let us not forget the welcome treats and bracelet given in the boat. Upon arrival Front Office Zherlyn will welcome you and the very hands on leader Hotel Manager Joe who was very sweet and attentive to all his guests. We enjoyed our room (Ocean View, with turtle painting) which my wife loves. She felt like they knew her preference. We enjoyed the lovely food. The taste and quantity was just right for its price and the tenderness of the meat was superb. The service of Jane,Sheena, Gab,Mon,RA was over the top. very attentive and it's like your eating in a fine dining. Of course, who will never forget the 3 course meal of Sir Shaun and his singing talent as he serenades you with a happy birthday song. Also the moon light dinner set up of sir Arnold that made my wife ask if i was going to propose again.(That's how beautiful it was). This trip wouldn't be the best if we didn't have Ms. Eunice,Sir Jeric and Sir Cris. They made us feel that we were family. Jeric and his signature drinks made us so relax and forget about work. Ms. Eunice(Ms. pocahontas) was very entertaining and just one step ahead of everything. She even made us Lemon water spray and freshly peeled aloe vera. Lastly the very famous Sir Cris. The best guide and concierge man i've ever met in the world. Brought us to hiking, snorkeling, made us sandwiches, fixed our island set up, brought us to the right places and just knew how to make our experience unforgettable. He would even teach you how to free dive. This man knows everything in his island and you can talk anything under the sun with this guy. Very cool, humble and caring. Again, thank you very very much and we hope to see you again. Please extend our regards to plok-plok, george 1 and 2, turtle eggs, M-lizards and Friendly fruity bats.

Our family had a great time at Club Paradise. 4.5 stars is our rating. The only hiccup we encountered was reserving for our stay. It was quite difficult to contact their reservation office and reply would take days before being answered. As for the resort, service was excellent exactly what you would expect from a Discovery property. From the pickup to the airport to the drop off, we were always greeted with smiles and made to feel welcome. Complimentary yummy snacks/treats offered once you get on the transfer boat to every single day you stay at the resort. Snacks for merienda were always different everyday. Restaurant food servings were generous, and although they had no beef available during our stay, we enjoyed the meals served. The kids especially loved the garlic salbacho pizza. The room was clean and tasteful, although the bathroom could use a renovation as the fixtures had seen better days. We loved the veranda with a hammock where you could see the beach and enjoy your food/drinks while listening to the waves and the sounds of nature. The flight of the bats in the background of the setting sun was a sight to see and we enjoyed watching them everyday we were there. The pool is desalinated water, so kids complained a bit about getting water in their eyes or mouth, nevertheless they did enjoy their time swimming. The house reef in front of the resort was very nice. We were able to snorkel and see plenty of fish, a bunch of squids and even a pawikan. One thing though is that they only have a couple of golf carts to go to and from the rooms, so if you want a ride you would need to wait. Did not bother us to much since the walk to the room from the restaurant/pool was not very far. We would like to thank the staff: Joe, the manager who is very attentive; Jane and Jeric at the restaurant who provided excellent service; Mr. Ante who snorkeled with us and kept us with my kids plethora of questions; Jayson who met us on the dock to bring us to the island, the boat drivers who allowed my kids to take turns on "driving" the boat. And all the other staff members whose names I didn't get but were always friendly and made our stay a delightful one. We hope to come back again soon!

From the airport the resort van would pick you up to go to the boat. You can only get to the island on boat. You should speak to the front desk for any kind of changes. There might be extra charges for you if you’re the only pick up.
Yes, the hotel has their own tours. don’t miss the Coron Island tour. Also, you can have your own private snorkeling guide. They have snorkeling gear, kayaks, boards etc to use. There’s a lot of great snorkeling around the island, so need to leave. You might get lucky and spot a turtle or two. Have a great relaxing time!

Cape Town, South Africa484 contributions116 helpful votesDear Mr Escobar,
Your team are not responding. We have a booking for 26 -30 Nov. We arrive at 14:50 and despite my efforts I do not know whether your team will be collecting us from the airport. The transfer cost should be included in our booking since this is the only flight between El Nido and Coron for the day. I also do not have confirmation in this regard.
Dear CuriousMe.,
Our apologies for any delays. may i know whose name is the booking under so I may look it up?
Will wait for your reply.

Manila, Manila, Philippines2 contributions3 helpful votesHi! We are booked on December 2022 and interested to avail of the boat transfer to and from the town proper. Do you still have this by December 2022? How can we arrange for this in advance?
Dear Sherlynne Darcy G,
There is no direct boat access from the town proper to Coron Town directly to the resort. There is an exclusive van transfer though, from the airport to our pier at PhP6,500 nett per van and if you wish to arrange for an exclusive boat transfer as well, an additional Php4,500 shall also be charged on your account.
However, you. may opt to ask your hotel to take you to the airport instead . The van and boat transfers from there are part of your room package. For your safety, the latest boat trip going to the resort will be at 2PM .
You may reach our Front Desk thru the following numbers to advice of us of your pick up time at Coron(Busuanga) airport-0917 8279852 or 0917 8401674
See you here soon!
