I traveled solo in 1st week jan 17.The jungles can be explored only on foot, so be prepared to walk a lot. The staff at Deban takes care of trekking needs including guide, porters, and other necessary items. If you are traveling with a group it is better to communicate well in advance. The route from Miao to Deban is in bad shape and preferably you need vehicles with higher ground clearance. There are taxis available at Miao though. They charge around 2500, one way.
