One has to call & make lunch reservations because it can fill up. They don't check covid vax cards as mentioned online. Most waiters wore masks & a few wore them on their chins. Abe's Farm is in Magalang, Pampanga, very close to the foot of Mt. Arayat, an extinct volcano carried on the back of the Pampango legendary giant Cargen Cargon & left in the midst of the province. Abe's Farm had a few signs along the way but not enough for strangers to find the place. I wish there were more. Abe's Farm had both a restaurant in an old converted farm house & overnight accomodations for 2 (one double bed) or a bunch of 12 people (bunkbeds). There were lots of plants and trees around but no farm animals. The nipa cabins had old (or looked old) furniture to add to the ambiance. It was quiet & certainly a place to relax away from the hustle & bustle of a city. There was no live band.

The restaurant part boasted of paintings done by the deceased former owner showing farm life a century ago. They also had an old wooden armoire (aparador) & other furniture such as one would find in an old farmhouse in the early 1900's.

They had a restroom for each gender and a common sink for washing hands. Hand sanitizers were also available.

One felt very much welcome as each group of guests was greeted with Kapampangan hospitality. Our waiter was available when we needed him. The menu included both Filipino & Pampango favorites. They didn't have batute (rice field frogs) when we visited so we settled on the famous paco (fern) salad (we all loved it), chicken adobo, pansit bihon, pinakbet Kapampangan (which I loved & didn't even know existed until then) & morcon (a hit with foreign & local palates). We had their mango shake made with real mangos. There were flies & a few skitters around so the waiter brought us a fly shoo-er disguised as a white bottle & turned on the ceiling fan. The place wasn't airconditioned but it wasn't too hot because we visited during the rainy season.

I recommend this restaurant as it's just 45 to 60 minutes drive from Clark & the food was impeccably Kapampangan cuisine and not greasy.

A bit disappointed with our stay. I know it says Abe’s “farm” and it’s located at the foot of Mt Arayat. But we didn’t expect that it our room had no TV and no wifi connection. The pool was also dirty (both tiles and water are dirty) and there were stray dogs lying around the pool. There was also no lifeguard or maintenance guy that cleaned the pool, so we were not able to use it. The room was spacious and clean, but it was dark and the light was more of an ambiance lightning plus a lamp. The food is ok and the staff were friendly. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place to a friend unless they want to disconnect for a while from social media lol

This is a unique place to visit if you are a nature lover. The farm is located inside a lush rain forest. The buildings are all built in a typical Filipino style. The food is mainly Filipino cuisine. I am not an admirer of Filipino cuisine, but what we ordered was absolutely delicious. The service is a bit slow, but friendly.

This is a really wonderful place to stay. We had done the traverse of Mt Arayat that day and to then come to this fantastic retreat just nearby was excellent. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room/villa very comfortable and private with good air-conditioning and the food in the restaurant very local and of excellent quality, well priced and promptly served. We would definitely stay again if the opportunity arises.

Drove 2.5 hrs from Manila to dine at Abes Farm as I'm a big fan of LJC Group.

What a disappointing meal - the restaurant had a lot of flies which was so frustratingas we had to keep swatting; the knockout knuckles was not crispy at all and the ginataan lacked flavor, langka was cut to big and was still tough to bite.

On a high note, service staff were friendly and had high positive energy.

Went there for a 1 night Family Getaway. We all thought we should have checked in earlier. Excellent service from all Staffs! Especially from the Restaurant Staff. Food were great! Loved the breakfast and recommendations. Loved the Crispy Pata for dinner, a bit pricey but the good GM gave us discounts and excellent service. The area is Forresty and the badly needed oxygen is all over. Clean Rooms with a rustic look and feel. Wi Fi is strong. A good relaxing stay with family and good to see they don't have TVs to give more family time.

A rustic and homely B&B set in a lush garden at the foot of Mt. Arayat in Pampanga that serves good food. The place is easily accessible from Metro Manila, just a two-hour drive.

We reserved their regular room (Sampaguita 1). The cottage was clean and had simple furnishings to go with the rustic look. No TV but the wifi was good. Basic amenities were available.

The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Overall a good stay.

We chose Abe's Farm for a quick get away from the metropolis with the family because of its proximity to the city. The drive to the Farm only took us an hour and a half from where we live in Pasig. The moment we drove into the Farm's property, I was excited to explore the rest of the place. Unlike a typical farm that doesn't give much attention to landscaping or outdoor decor, this one felt more like a resort. We checked into their family suite which had a loft and 2 bathrooms that can accommodate 8-10 guests. We had a sumptuous dinner at their only restaurant which boasts of popular Capangpangan dishes. The decor and interiors of the Filipiniana- style restaurant made a cozy ambience for dinner. We capped the evening with a massage at their spa casita, which was good for 2. The hilot massage was so relaxing, I dozed off through out the treatment. At daytime, the kids explored the open grounds, checked out the Igorot house accommodation (an interesting alternative to the casitas) and swam in the pool. The only disappointment for the kids is that they didn't have farm animals which they were hoping to see and touch. Over all, it was a good place to stay for a quick re-charge!

Lovely place with planned gardens, a good 3 star for the main rooms which are small lodge style. Clean and spacious with plenty of natural light. Clean and spacious bathrooms too however some of our group were put in the ‘native’ huts which they did not enjoy due to having shower facility in a block outside and having to climb in and down a ladder to use them; may suit some travelers who want to experience this type of room, but you do become an attraction for other guests who want to photograph your room which can be intrusive. These rooms are not suitable for older travelers or for those room sharing. The massage was good and the ladies very thorough and conscious of guests needs ('pressure ok ma'am'). No wi-fi by choice of the management to ensure a relaxing stay.

We spent a night here just over a year ago (December 2011) in a family room that has a bedroom loft overlooking its own living room. To be fair, the room is not particularly luxurious and my rating should properly be between 3 and 4. I lean towards 4 because of the very tranquil grounds and the excellent food.

There are several cottages scattered around the extensive gardens. It's easy to find your own quiet corner of the garden, under a tree or cabana, and just nap or get lost in a good book, cooled by the fresh breeze. The place is on the slopes of Mt. Arayat and if one has time, you can take a short hike up the mountain. This we didn't do, as we just took the chance to chill, away from the crowded and polluted city.

Abe's is known for Kapampangan food, the food of Pampanga province which has developed a reputation for being a bit more sophisticated among various regional Filipino cuisines. The restaurant is an essential part of a stay here and makes it all worthwhile. If not for the restaurant my rating would just be a 3. In fairness though, we didn't even bother to enjoy the other attractions like the pool, which is a bit small, and the nearby museum. The attraction of this place to us was just a nice place to relax amidst lush gardens, great food, basically just a break from the city. If that is all you are looking for, in a place not too far from Manila, this is okay.

Hi, with senior citizen I believe staying in the room accommodation would be much more comfortable. It is kinda logical that the native huts do not provide for toilet space. The standard rooms are nice as well
