We came back in summer as promised. Were warned about the increased busyness but we thought it never seemed cramped: the sunbeds, the whole property still felt serene. A great environment to relax, read and reload. A swim in the lake is amazing. Staff is great: from gardeners to reception. The rooms stay amazing: beautiful balconies (with bathtub) and great space. We will keep coming back to this hide-away more and more.

We stayed at the Cocoon part of the hotel. Awesome room and warm welcome. Travelling with a newborn makes one even more excited but the hotel team prepared anything for us from the baby-bed to hot water or the changing pad. My wife got a relaxing Thai massage which is notably the best in Switzerland. We took a relaxing walk by the beautiful lake before having a great dinner at the Samu-Thai restaurant. Our room was quite and the bathtub on the balcony was somewhat the creme topping of our short trip. I love breakfasts and so the breakfast with the excellent service was completing our stay. I would love to repeat this stay soon. From A-Z a perfect stay for us as a family, for me as an experienced business traveller, for my wife as a person who likes Spa and wellness. Big thank you to the team and the boss, Mrs Halbeisen, who do a perfect job!

Amazing Experience! The attention for the details and the kind service make this wellness hotel one of the best where I have been till now.
The room has everything you need and even more ( we were in one of the rooms with the bath-tube on the balcony). Nice design, nice colors and wonderful materials. Extra big shower and the toilet with a proper door ( a lot of design hotels today have a panel like the one of the closet. This has a proper door) The lights in the corridor to the room make you think to be in a dream.
The spa is literally a paradise: relaxing and with everything you need. In the “Ruhe-Raum” there is a big spa buffet with dried fruit, tea, water with lemon, peach or cucumber or an amazing “Thai-Klare Suppe” ( it was simply delicious) .
The bathtube on the balcony was not properly working the first evening but has been quickly fixed while we were at the spa. Nice service!

The only thing to improve would be the menu of the traditional thai restaurant. It was not clear if some dishes were containing allergenes (I’m allergic to shellfish). This should be more clear.

In general the experience in this hotel was excellent!

The Hotel Seerose in Meisterschwanden is really a great place to spend a weekend or a few days relaxing and indulging in delicious food.

So far I have only stayed in the junior suites in the newer building – with lake and garden view. They are fantastic, featuring an amazing bath tub for 2 on the balcony. The suits are very spacious and offer plenty of room to store your cloths etc. (something you never ever find in hotel rooms). The bathroom area is big, with a very nice shower.

Breakfast is very nice, you have plenty to choose from with eggs (you can also ask for omelet), fruits, cheese, cold cuts, diverse breads and croissants, müslis.

The Spa is very relaxing and offers 2 saunas and 1 steam bath, 1 bigger pool with some “jets” for an underwater massage feeling. I booked several massages and they are fantastic. Some ladies really know what they are doing and you leave feeling like newborn 😁

You can lie down and relax at the Spa itself or change to the beautiful garden. They also have a few sunbeds direct at the lake, next to the outdoor swimming pool. It is a small one but enough to refresh yourself. You can also take a swim in the lake.

The Hotel Seerose offers 3 restaurants: the Seerose serving very nice traditional Swiss / French dishes. You can sit inside, which is very cozy or outside on the terrace. The Cocon serves fantastic, delicious menus, sometimes with a little Asian and / or Mediterranean touch – delicious. Last but not least the Samui Thai offering great Thai food (a bit westernized but so yummy!) and a beautiful terrace! Be sure to ask for a table with lake view 😉

The hotel’s location is great, directly at the lake. You can walk along the lakeshore to the next little villages and come back by boat. Or rent one of their SUPs and enjoy the lake. We usually do not do much and just lounge in the garden with a good book and spend relaxing hours at the Spa. Just what you need to “recover” from busy times.

Due to a seminar I was invited to , I was able to find this gem Seerose Resort and Spa. Luckily I arrived a day early allowing me to enjoy a fantastic Thai massage in the hotel's Spa. My first dinner was on the lake side terrace, great food and service and sun set.
My room was in the "older" building but fully redecorated with modern fittings at this idillic and quiet location.
Loved also the breakfast with fabulous food.

I would like to share my experience during my stay at your hotel, which we have now visited for the fourth time.

First of all, I would like to stress that I was impressed by the location of your hotel. The idyllic location on the lake and the surrounding nature create a relaxed atmosphere that made my stay particularly pleasant. The view of the lake from my room was breathtaking and really enhanced my stay.

The staff at Hotel Seerose deserve special recognition. From reception to cleaning staff to restaurant staff - all employees were extremely friendly, helpful and always keen to make guests' stay as pleasant as possible. The professionalism and friendliness of the staff left a lasting positive impression on me.

The rooms at Hotel Seerose are comfortable and tastefully furnished. The cleanliness and regular cleaning of the rooms exceeded my expectations. The facilities fully met my needs and I felt comfortable and at home throughout my stay.

I was also impressed by the gastronomic offer in the hotel restaurant. The variety and quality of the food delighted my taste buds, and the friendly service staff made me feel welcome at every meal. The culinary experiences made my stay at Hotel Seerose an unforgettable one.

Overall, I can highly recommend Hotel Seerose. The combination of excellent service, idyllic location and comfortable accommodation makes this hotel a first-class choice for travelers. I would like to thank you and your team for the wonderful hospitality and I am already looking forward to my next visit.

Pros:
- Lakefront location, beautiful in summer. Very relaxing and via QR code you can enjoy drinks and desserts directly in the deckchair.
- Criticism was taken seriously by receptionist and kindly answered with small gift.
- loving details: Orchid blossoms, interior style, decoration in general
- The Thai restaurant was EXCELLENT! From service to food impeccable. It was charmingly and imaginatively taken into consideration my fish allergy and the kitchen has come up with something especially for me. This has contributed to my positive review. You can tell that the restaurant is very well run and the procedures work great and the staff are highly motivated.
- The wellness is rather small but pleasant and has a special style.

Cons:
- Restaurant Cocon: We could not have breakfast outside in the morning, despite sunny weather. The reasoning from the Chef de Service was that the pillows got wet from the rain the night before.
Generally we took at Cocon was rather a dismissive mood.

- The chairs in the Cocon are very uncomfortable and make loud, annoying noises when sitting down.
- The service staff were friendly but somehow quickly unsure. E.g. if you mention allergies, ask questions about the other two restaurants.
- Room service was really bad: The beds were made loveless, dirty glasses from the day before were not replaced, the ashtray on the terrace not emptied, the lavabo not cleaned. The floor was also not cleaned.
The shower towels, cups, glasses, were only replaced for 2 out of 4 people.

- The signage for toilets by the pool, spa buffet, etc. is not available and you look in certain places in the hotel area, which is unpleasant.

For over 600.- per person for 2 nights HP. the guest can expect more.

We decided to spend Christmas time in a relaxing and easy way, not far from Basel, where we live. Seerose was the perfect decision. Once you are in the hotel, we feel like a "soul travelling". We loved the Thai themed decoration as well the Thai restaurants. The spa was very clean, with unique charm and design. As a foreigners, we still struggle with the sauna naked concept in Switzerland, but in this hotel they offer "sarongs" to wear in the sauna. Excellent and comfortable idea !! The service overall is outstanding and all the staff are very attentive and friendly. The Christmas menu in the Cocon and Seerose were unbelievable good. From presentation to taste, simply amazing. We all loved our stay there. If there is something to improve in the hotel, it would be to have more hangers in the room. We stayed in the Junior suite in 4 people and there were not enough places to hang the bathrobes and towels. Otherwise, all very good.

Mmmmh: where do I start. In no particular order (restaurants I will rate separately): reception is very nice, the location and grounds are beautiful. The surrounding lends itself for beautiful walks. The whole vibe was extremely serene and zen. Hard to put a finger on it why that is: it’s a feeling matter.
The hotel is super dog-friendly. Dogs are not only tolerated but staff is super nice with them.
The bar and the super nice blonde bar lady whose name I unfortunately forgot are amazing. We had a great time there: super cocktails/beers in a super relaxed setting.
The breakfast was super too: from the fresh honey, variety in general, the fresh egg dishes, beautiful interior, local juices to other regional ingredients , and again, a common theme, great staff!!
Spa and fitness was fantastic. The whole interior architecture is actually amazing.
The room was just great! So many hotel rooms have zero storage capacity so that you end up living from your suitcase: not here. You can actually enjoy your room fully. View is spectacular, the outside bathtub is quirky and me and my wife actually thought this was super cool and we enjoyed it thoroughly, the lighting is stylish, the shower is beautifully spacious, mattresses are great as are the pillows.
Now to say our stay was cheap, that would be a blatant lie: prices are steep-ish, but after we enjoyed every second of our stay and could not find a single point to criticise, we thought it was worth every cent we paid: we just had a perfect stay with the family to charge batteries and start the new year fully relaxed and I could not a price to that. I am a fan: this place is special and has a vibe most five star hotels do not even have.

We have not even totally unpacked and are already planning our next stay…..: suppose that says it all!!

My husband and I wanted to get away close by for a few days and relax so we booked the midweek special for 2 nights. The hotel was not very full due to the low season and COVID so we were delighted as the Spa was very nice and enjoyable. Highly recommend the Spa massage services and atmosphere. What was not up to par was the cleanliness of the room. It was so dusty that I had to wash the glasses before we could drink out of them. Clearly it had not been cleaned before we arrived nor during. I mentioned this to the desk at Checkout and they said they would rely the comment to housekeeping. No apologies! Lastly for the average rating - in the Restaurant Seerose where we ate there was only 1 meal choice. A take it or leave it, which surprised us. We expected at least a 2-3 choices for the main meal. The food we did receive was excellent and the atmosphere in the restaurant is very cozy and nice. First night was chicken and the second fish. Nice surrounding area to visit for 2-3 days.

Dear "MicheleYTahoe" A heartfelt thank you for your personal lines and feedback on your stay with us at the Seerose Resort & Spa. I am glad that you were our guests and that you enjoyed your time with us at the lake. Thank you also for your valuable and constructive criticism about the cleanliness of the room. I formally apologise for the inadequate cleaning work. This is not up to our standard and requires improved room cleaning and control by the housekeeping department. Furthermore I am a bit surprised about the missed menu choice, normally we give our guests a choice, if they do not like the halfboard offer. We are very sorry if we did not offer this option to you and hope to have this opportunity the next time. Best regards, Tina Halbeisen and the Seerose Family
