I’ve been to a lot of beaches in the Philippines and I’d say that Paraiso de Palani is one worth checking out. They have white sand, clear waters, long coastline and not a lot of commercial establishments around. So if you want to have peace and quiet and to totally disconnect, then this is the place for you. However it’s not ideal for those planning to work while on vacation because mobile/internet signal here is weak to none at all. The rooms are comfortable but it would be nice if they provide electric kettle and coffee cups so that guests can make their coffee whenever they like. That way they don’t need to wait for the kitchen to open in the morning. I also hope that there will be more breakfast meal choices. But the staff were all friendly and accommodating and we appreciate them so much.

Will and Grace have built Paraiso de Palani Resort and whilst this beach is a true secret pleasure it's only fair to share these truly hospitable people, for they nourished our souls. Their resort, while still constructing is spotless and wonderfully new. Everything worked. We felt so special at times we would think that we had paid thousands of dollars and landed at a Sandals Resort... but we didn't. We took an old bangka and rusty trike for mere pesos and wound up in paradise.A beach straight out of a traveL magazine.
We were fed 3 fresh fully authentic, traditional Filipino meals a day along with snacks and fillers. When our sniffles, acquired in Cebu 2 days prior, became full blown colds they rallied around us plying us with healthy shakes and vitamin filled fruits, even creating warmed concoctions that soothed our throats. Truly delightful.
A short walk to Town and you will find what you need and have an entourage of happy giggly children along with greeting smiles from all the locals. This is where you come to read that book youve never had time to read.Warning though, if you don't know how to relax you should probably stay home.

Palani turned out to be one of the nicest places i visited in the Philippines!
I stayed in Paraiso de Palani for 2 nights. The best choice by far at the white beach.
The owners Willy and Grace made me feel like home with there genuine hospitality:-)
I was getting three meals per day prepared by the excelent cook Grace.Best seafood so far!
The place is so nice and quite that you feel its all for you.
I highly recommend Palani for those with a feeling of an adventure(its kind of hard to get there)They will be rewarded.

I went there three days ago and I stayed for two. The weather wasn't good unluckly, that's why I couldn't enjoy 100%, but I can say anyway it's a great location. Longer than your imagination white beach, coconut palms on the back side, wonderful sea ahead. No people, only nature and quietude. I had accommodation at El Paraiso de Palani, a cottage resort still under construction. Owner and staff were more than kind with me. They cooked me three meals per day because I hadn't any vehicle, charging me a really honest fare. They arranged for me the departure to Panay. But most important, Mr. Willy enjoyed me with his presence, speeches, ideas, nice colture.

Balud is the west coast of Masbate and certainly Palani White Beach is worth to visit. In fact when we were a lot of visitors comes from East Coast such as Aroroy, Baleno, Masbate City are all interested to see Palani White.

Accomodation is not a problem because you have many options of lodges and inn are available.

I truly recommend Paraiso de Palani. Hotel staffs are friendly and honest.

Grace, owner of the welcomes us when we arrived early morning, maybe we are the first visitors. she gave us discount on our dormitory room we took. Were like 2 dozen in group, and the discount was a lot of saving in the group. she even offer the free gazebo umbrella as our spot in the beach front.

Hotel staffs can be rely on. when i lost my shades. They have kept it and returned to me.

Balud is Masbates' Boracay and indeed worth try to visit.

Very important! this place is called Paraiso De Palani, and it is a resort. We stumbled on it by accident after reading the great reviews on Palani white Beach, although that is not the correct name of the resort. When we arrived to the junction of Palani white Beach we saw the sign of the hotel and called Grace (the owner), she sent someone to pick us up and then we discovered an amazing Resort! It has clean, air-con and nicely decorated rooms, a beautiful beach and excellent home cooked food! The staff was attentive and Grace the owner was lovely and made us feel at home! We paid 1500 peso per night. Overall great value for money! + it's the most peaceful and beautiful place! Thank you Grace! We really hope we will have a chance to come and visit you again!

The Tourism Office in Masbate recommended this beautfiul beach south-west of Masbate City. You can take a Jeepney or a Van to Balud and there ask for a Tricycle. It's only about 70 km away from Masbate, but the roads are bumpy, so you shouldn't be on a tight schedule.

We arrived at 4 in the afternoon and were welcomed by the owner Grace. She showed us the room (clean and comfortable beds, shower is clean but no warm water - which I didnt mind, as it was around 30°C).
Grace provides also food (crab and rice this evening - delicious!!) There was no real Menu so we didn't know what to expect regarding the price - but everything was perfect. We (2 people) payed overall 4.500 Pesos (~ 100 Euros) for 2 nights including 4 meals (breakfast, lunch and 2x Dinner) as well as various drinks (Buko etc). So its not really for Budget travellers, but its worth every penny.

As there is no store close by, you should bring some water and/or cookies or other treats if you desire so.
We enjoyed a beautiful day at the beach, you can go for a long walk next to the ocean or just lay in beautiful cabanas to avoid the heat and not get sunburned.

Grace is the perfect host, she is really attentive and will take care of your well-being as well as sharing stories with you if you want some company. On the other hand, she gives you enough space and time for you alone (which you shouldn't take for granted in the Philippines.)

We really enjoyed our stay there and I would definitely come back again!

if you are going there for a nice swim at a beach- probably not the best location as the water is not clear and the sand is just ordinary. If you are looking for a quiet place to just lounge around- this could be an option. The resort/hotel has no pool. The rooms are great- ACU working, water on the shower is OK and the staff tries their best to accommodate your request. The owners are particularly lovely.
