This is our 3rd time at this resort and we returned because of positive experiences in the past. We came in the late 90s and 2012.

Pros: Mango shake! Mango shake! Mango shake! Their bar makes the best in the Philippines!

In front of our room, hotel has hanging racks for wet gear / clothes which was very helpful.

The pool is still amazing and now has lifeguards. They have a small “beach” area now which wasn’t available in our prior visits. The resort has beautiful greenery everywhere, and tons of upgrades and expansion since our last visit. Resort is walking distance to the boats that will take you to White Island.

Cons: Keep your hotel towels close to you at all times. If you happen to lose one, they charge a crazy amount. It drove my family of 7 counting towels. Bring your own, don’t use theirs.

We stayed in the 6 person family room with the loft on top. The paint on the spiral 🌀 staircase would get sticky when wet. You will then track blue prints everywhere. They may have used the wrong type of paint for the metal stairs.

Stayed here for 3 nights, reception staff were very helpful and they are responsive from the booking stage until check out. Their rooms are clean and I would agree to one of the reviewer their bed is very comfy like a 5star bed feel so even if you are packed for full day island tour  you will surely get a good sleep.

special thanks to the following :

Nino our 8 hours tour  driver/guide, Venjun who gave a good impression  of good service in took our order on the day we arrived.

To the resort manager Ms. Snooky and to the F&B manager who sat down and hear our few concerns with regards to the last dinner situation we had in their restaurant,  appreciate for seeing us before we leave and will definitely will be back soon with the rest of my family.

Some of the staff in reception Julie, Marie, Edwin and bryan keep up the good work for giving a warm welcome to your guests.

In general property facility is good decent swimming pool size, two pool tables to entertain guests while having their happy hour drinks. prices for food and drinks are reasonable.

We stayed at the family room. It was large but dated. Beds were uncomfortable. Crappy TV. Bathroom and shower were nothing special. Pool is very nice. If you are not willing to walk around to the restaurants like Luna and across the street you are basically confined to the mediocre restaurant at Paras Beach Resort it’s basically a tourist trap. However there are some excellent gems within a 10 minute walk in either direction. Mom and pop coffee houses on the water with homemade pancakes and baked goods! The other advantage of this hotel is the launching spot for going to White Island is basically on the hotel grounds. The hotel is mediocre at best but it’s an excellent location.

We have stayed at Paras Beach Resort several times over the years! We really enjoy our time there! The location is perfect to take their pump boat across to White Island, which is absolutely gorgeous and stunning! We love the big family room! Thank you Paras!!!

I have loved Camiguin ever since I stepped on this island, I didn’t only fall in love of the place but Also I deeply fell in love with its people, the kindness, hospitality, and the genuineness.
Our visit in Camiguin is the best because of Paras Beach Resort. I value and appreciate their honesty , I unknowingly left my jewelry in the hotel room and I wasn’t aware of it at all until the hotel called me to inform me about it, i was able to get my jewelry back and I was so happy to know that There are still people I can trust. To Paras Beach Resort, thank you very much and I would love to visit Camiguin again and stay with you once more. I can’t thank you enough for the sincerity and honesty with genuine service you have offered to me and my family.

The resort was such an escape to our urban life, it had a very peaceful atmosphere. You can really relax just by sitting in one of their gazebo chairs or just enjoy the sunset by the pool. The staff were really accomodating and was super fast to respond with our requests. It is also near popular places like the White Island and local restos like Checkpoint and Northern Lights. Surely will go back to this resort when I am in Camiguin

Place had amenities such as billiard tables, ping-pong, and swimming pool that my cousins did enjoy. They allowed pizza delivery from another place without corkage fee. And great location which are among the positive points about this place. Terrible service, ordered food 3hours ahead of time yet they served the food an hour later than asked them to do so. Learning from that experience with them and being considerate that they have a wedding reception going on, I gave them a second chance to prove myself wrong about terrible service from them. Having to checkout early the next day, I have ordered the food the night before, yet still food got served 45minutes later than asked them to do so(15minutes improvement , but LATE IS LATE and just show disrespect to people's time). All went ok(when I say OK, I meant tolerable) until we checked out. We booked 2 rooms with 12 twin beds each, basically 24 heads for two nights, paid over 30K for rooms and meals and white Island tour, yet they still gave us a Php700+ fine for one lost cappy towel(sand paper grade)!!! Apparently, they did housekeeping on the second day and replaced the yellow towels with white ones, and when we checked out, they claimed 1 white towel is missing. How am I supposed to track 24 yellow towels and 24 white towels and not to mention the blue towels used from the swimming pool area coming in and out of 2 rooms everyday!? heck, I'm on a vacation too and we're paying for all these! Everyone was already inside the jeep, all packed and ready to go back to Cagayan de Oro, I have no time to asked each to unpack and check if there's a towel mixed in their luggage(which there was none at all that we tried to look for later), just paid for the fine so we could take off ASAP to catch up with the lost time from not getting our food served on schedule. I don't normally complain a lot and most of the time considerate that people try to do their best to accommodate and provide service so they could feed their families, but this time, I just felt ripped off big time. By the way, you can opt to rent boats other than the ones they offer. My bad I had mistaken that all boats going to white island are owned by them since all reviews mention port at Paras Beach resort is the gateway to White island, but actually there are boats(banka) right next to the resort that offer at cheaper rates. I just dislike bad services. If you can't deliver, might as well not be in the business.

I love Camiguin and would love to come back...but NOT at Paras Beach Resort! Service is verrry slow..from setting up an extra bed (which they knew beforehand) to room service to breakfast!! Wouldnt even give extra towels! Considering that they are not cheap, they should be more accommodating! Overcharging for printing requests, you would think they are the only ones with a printer...or the only resort in the whole island! They dont know what word of mouth and goodwill is all about! Wake up before you lose more business!

We have only an overnight stay here into one of their cottages that are good for 3 to 6 persons. The room is clean and well arranged that it can fit 6 persons. There is a mezzanine floor with one queen size bed. On the ground floor there is also one queen size bed and a sofa bed with a pull out bed underneath.
Bathroom is spacious and clean too. Another plus is that the room is a few steps away from the beach side where you can lie down on the hammock while enjoying the cool sea breeze and listening to the rumbling of waves rushing to shore

There is an airport at Camiguin and it's only 5km away from Paras. The airport code is CGM. Only small planes fly to this airport, they are turbo props. There are flights from Cebu. The resort can pick you up or you can take a tuk tuk down, it's very cheap and easy. We rented a car on Camiguin but you don't have to, there is transportation everywhere. There are also ferries to Camiguin from various places but the flight from Cebu is only $30 or so. Best to fly. Camiguin is lovely, you'll have a great time!

I would say no. They are very specific about outside food and drink not being taken into the resort, so I would think cooking in your room would not be allowed. Suggest you contact the resort.
