My husband and I stayed in Naasag, a stones throw away from CASA ROCA INN. It was dinner time and we thought the place was quiet. We didn’t expect much but when we got to eating our dinner. WOW. I had their spaghetti pesto with grilled chicken while my husband had their mixed grill. It didn’t really take that long to prep our food. The view at sunset was amazing. It proved to be a romantic experience for us. We really really REALLY recommend this place. Maybe next time we’ll book here too.

I love sunsets so upon seeing photos of sunsets at this inn, I cancelled my previous booking at a different b&b and booked a room at Casa Roca for a 2-night stay. I'm glad I did! It's cozy ambiance, fantastic sunset view,
homey feel offer a unique island experience, making it a tourist spot in itself! The food is superb - great choices, huge serving! They've got good choices of wine and cool music to make your dining experience extra special. You wouldn't want to go out and find other places where you can eat and hang out. It's a kind of place you would want to go home to after a tiring day tour. Thanks to the owners Jim and Evelyn for accommodating us and to your friendly staff. We had a fantastic time! ~khristine & gil

Casa Roca comes very highly recommended on several travel review sites, as well as in Lonely Planet. We contacted the owner, Jim and made the booking with him. He was extremely helpful over text messaging even going as far as to organize our transportation.

However, upon arrival after a long 24 hour flight, we quickly realized that he was no longer in Camiguin, having moved elsewhere in Mindanao. The property is well situated. The veranda room is everything we had hoped for, operlooking the ocean. But the property has been left to deteriorate. The bathroom was non-functional. There was no water. The toilet was not flushable. We contacted James requesting him to fix the problem. He did not respond to our messages.

The caretaker eventually got a plumber to make it workable. However, future guests need to be aware that water pressure is very low, there was no hot water, the shower doesn't operate as it should and it is very basic. It kind of felt like a "gas station" bathroom.

This place has so much potential. I feel sad that it has been left to deteriorate. A couple of bedside lamps, some shelves in the room can make this a stellar choice.

The food continues to be good and reasonably priced. The caretaker and other staff were very nice.

Everything was so perfect!!! After staying at Caves (not recommended!) and Seascape (quite ok) im so glad i found Casa Roca Inn! Its tranquility, peaceful clean surroundings, great ocean view, the very friendly staff, the house, the veranda and the food were just perfect for me!

I studied HRM and Tourism in Switzerland and i have high expectations in hospitality. After backpacking Luzon and surfing Siargao i decided to spend couple of days in Camiguin Island. This place just topped everything i expected and didnt expected!

ACCOMODATION:
I got a standard basic room with shared bathroom for 1000 pesos breakfast included. It didnt bother me coz the bathroom is just next to the room and there are 2 bathrooms available (there's an openair shower/toilet with waterfall :) for 3 rooms.

FOOD:
Excellent! Best food since im travelling Philippines! I love any kind of vegetables and in the Phils, vegetables are rare for some reasons i couldnt understand. But in Casa Roca its already included to the main meal! Thumbs up for that!
So main meal you'll get vegetables included. Breakfast you'll get fruits with it! The portions are big for reasonable prices with very good food quality. I tried other restaurants in the island but i highly recommend Casa Roca.

STAFF / OWNER:
The staff are well-trained in service, very friendly, courteous and sincere. Jim and Evelyn, the cutest couple ive seen in the Phils! They are both so hearty great people and they made my stay at Casa Roca very comfortable. . .like at home.

So all in all, i highly recommend Casa Roca for single backpacker, couples and small groups! I will definetely come back to this place!
Once youre here, its very hard to leave! You'll get this laidback unforgettable relax feeling for sure!

Thank you very much for everything!
Jenny

Strategically situated in the heart of the island borne out of fire, a quaint, tropical home that soothes not only your weary senses, but also your appetite. A home, and an accommodation that embodies everything that Camiguin has to offer, and everything Camiguin is truly is.

A 5-star B&B that does not feel like a business-accommodation - but a home. a home away from home. Run and operated personally by Mr. Jimm Hann and Ms. Evelyn Lascuna, together with only a selected few crew, you won’t feel alienated. You’ll feel right at home, An invited family-guest rather than a boarder.

Mss. Evelyn’s home-made world-class dishes are amazing beyond words, and a soothing cap to adventure-weary souls every time you are welcomed back into a night’s restful evening and readily warm dinner. Her dishes are always a surprise, and contains adventurous travels she herself has encountered in her life, seen through her magnificent eyes. Each food she cooks, is a part of her self, and you get to share that with her. She shows you her world as she sees it. And that is why her dishes are always an adventure, and a wondrous surprise.

I miss her cooking. I miss the basil in her version of a Thai-cuisine that i loved. And i miss the egg omelet and bacon with rice Sir Jimm cooks every morning, with Iced Coffee, for the complementary breakfast. I miss the sea from our breakfast table.

And I miss the view from our window that shows the Avant-garde and naturalistic landscape that is the wide grounds of this property.

Casa Roca Inn, in a word, cannot be described in mere words. The place is more of an experience and a feel rather than a sight for sight-seeing. You have to be there in order to understand it’s full Beauty. The place is packed full of the owners’ personality. From the huge gates painted with Zebra stripes, to the way the house is built as if a massive tree-house / tree-fortress like structure has rooted itself out from the scenic landscape, and yet at the same time communes with it so solemnly - it’s a wide range of intermingling and mish-mashing emotions of splashing colors that are both bold and subdued…. And somehow still melds together harmoniously. The home itself is like an amazing art in the making. Like the home is evolving, finding its way into a discovery of itself in the process.

(And if you have not seen this place at night, and through candle lights… then you have not seen this place at all…)

Now, do not get this place mistaken for a 5-star, all-your-needs-going-to-be-met, hotel and grandiose, accommodation. You’ll be staying with a family, treated like their very own relative staying for the weekend. And exactly that, no less, no more - you shall be. You’re not going into a business hotel - they are welcoming you into their home, and treating you as one of their own. What they have, is all they can offer. A true home away from home.

So, leave your expectations of internet access, and some work done, while you are there. You won’t get to do any of them. YOU. ARE. ON. VACATION. and in freak’n Camiguin, no less - one of the few actual paradises in the world. You won’t have time to internet or work. And you won’t need to.

Once you set foot on Casa Roca Inn’s grounds, and once you smell that ocean breeze through the garden air, with the intermingling scents of warm sun baking the grass-blades dripping with dew from the morning mist, your senses will just relax - and - “Work - what?”, “Huh?”… there isn’t even time to recover your responsible thoughts - you. are. automatically. on. vacation.

I miss the sunrise from there.

I miss the sunsets.

I miss the food.

I miss the breeze.

The place.

And the welcoming - always encouraging - smiles.

And the people. They had always just been themselves, and that’s all they need to be.

as what the title says, it's a home away from home! you will never feel like you're an outcast the moment you set your foot in here.. it was a spur-of-the-moment decision to stay here but we never had any regrets., their food was extremely delicious and real home made. I've been to few of the resorts in neighboring cities but this escapade was totally different. apart from a very relaxing yet jolly ambiance, i haven't really felt i'm tired. i told myself this was a real VACATION!! (sad to say for only couple of days). All the travel and the arguments (with friends) is worth it.. Evelyn was very accommodating which i'll never forget and James was a very good conversationalist, you got to know the whole place without you taking a trip around. anyhow, we'd surely be back here for another home-away-from-home escapade. thanks a lot guys, you're place is really worth visiting!

Our stay at Casa Roca Inn was unbeatable! They became our benchmark on our entire Camiguin stay. The food was great and you really get what you paid for. The staffs were very welcoming and the hosts (Evelyn and Jim) were as always warm. Both the staffs and the hosts made sure that we are enjoying our food. The ambience was soooooo relaxing that you don’t want to leave the place. Indeed it was an “escape from the ordinary” as their tag line says. We’d love to stay in this place again and would highly recommend this place to our friends who will be visiting Camiguin.

I'm absolutely in love with this place. The delux room is a dream - I could stay there swinging in the hammock for days. We've been to the standard room as well it was great.
The highlight is definitely the food which is simply AMAZING! Breakfast is to die for ,very satisfying. I tried several other restaurants in camiguin but nothing compares to casa roca. The food is absolutely divine.we kept coming back for more.
The company is brilliant , The staff and the owner are incredible.don't miss this lovely place !!!
