TERRIBLE ROOMS given so had to get out after 30mins. Nothing to do in the resort too for kids/family so not recommending this for sure. The shower has no curtains and won’t provide according to staff. The Wi-Fi is slow . The lady owner seemed not well prepared at all for the group.

Response from Frank Wolf, Inhaber at Tongatok Cliff Resort

This lady had a booking for 4 persons and 1 kid. She arrived with 9 adults and 1 kid. The booked rooms have been prepared before arrival. We told her it’s to many people for the rooms. She insisted it is no problem and wanted additional beds and confirmed that she pay for the additional costs. Our workers carried beds and mattresses into the rooms and the guests went in the rooms. 2 minutes later they run out of the rooms into their van and left. During the waiting time they declined to give us all passports for making copies (Government requirement). Only 4 gave it and not one was the name of the person in the booking confirmation.

Our stay in Camiguin was wonderful! Coming here to Tongatok Cliff really helped us experience the island better. They provided shuttle from the airport to their hotel. Once we arrived we were greeted by their staff and the owner. They were so friendly and polite. This hotel has your necessities. If they don’t have it for you, you don’t need it. We ate at their restaurant every night. Worth it! Special shout out to Joey. She is amazing cook and does so many things! The environment is super safe and the views of the area are amazing. My group of 8 enjoyed their stay here and would definitely come back here for vacation. They have their own private cliff side / ocean view! Definitely worth the walk down.

This is a beautiful place. It is really nice for sunset. The food is not the cheapest but is really good. The staff and owners are really nice. But I didn't stay there over night, so I can't said anything about the rooms. Easy parking and not far from everything

We stayed at Tongatok Cliff Resort for one week. We opted for a sea view villa and it was a good decision. The resort has one of the most beautiful views I have ever experienced. They take a good care of the surroundings of the resort. The stairway leading to the sea speak volumes as to how much effort they put into this property. I particularly like this location of Camiguin as it is close to lots of beautiful spots and it is set at a very peaceful location. They provide a free shuttle service to the airport which is a big advantage considering the transport options on this island. Another big advantage is a free laundry service, which really took me by surprise. They do cleaning every day without requesting to do so; moreover, they did it at times while we were not present. The owner is friendly and willing to help or give advice if needed. The only thing I was missing in the villa was utensils (glasses, plates). If given a chance to return, I will surely opt for this resort.

We spent only 2 nights here but will come back for sure. Such a beautiful spot on the island. The cliff villa has such an amazing view and you can climb down private stairs to the ocean for swimming and snorkeling or sunbathing. Its a very private and peaceful place. The team and owner Frank are lovely hosts. Great restaurant (try the German bratwurst 🤤). See you again.

Location not walking distance to the Main Mambajao so heads up if you dont have a motorbike. However they can pick you up from port of camiguin or airport to hotel vice versa. We stayed in the Cliff Villa which has the vest view of the sunset and the clear water. They dont have pool however you can swimm by the cliff waters down. The room is big and very functional modern. Staff were very nice and helpful. They also have restaurant which offers good food. This is also a safe place ! They have 24h security. Good price and highly recommended. Def coming back!

I just completed my stay in Camiguin and wish I had discovered Tongatok earlier. I was driving on my motorcycle just before sunset and could see this place was perfectly positioned. When I came in I was greeted by Frank the owner who was incredibly friendly and I decided to move accomodation and stay there. This place honestly has the best sunset and view on the entire island. You could sit there for hours looking out and the sun lines up directly in front of you with no obstructions or disturbance from anything else and with a higher vantage point. I had dinner there two nights and breakfast and the meals were excellent. It was nice to also have some German bread in the morning that wasn't the typical sweet Filipino bread and more like what I eat in Australia. My place was very clean. I am a solo traveller so I'm not fussy, but the room was great and had good hot water and air con. I would definitely go back there and the staff were very friendly. Frank is a great guy and knows a lot about the island. Big thanks for a great stay!

We booked here, because there was a room available and the other places we had in mind were booked. First the pluses. Incredible scenic location, staff super helpful and friendly, and the cook in the restaurant was truly amazing. Its not everyday a cook can do a nice cordon blieu, then pivot to kinilaw, or a homemade style filipino Lomi. Their cook is a treasure. Unfortunately we got stuck in Apt A (P 3000), which is directly under the restaurant, and has a view of the owner's parked boat out the patio. So no garden view, and we had noise/music from the restaurant till it closed. The room itself was clean and spacious. No wifi signal in our room, though. As soon as we checked in, the girl told us that normally breakfast is included but we don't get any because we checked in on-line...Hmmm, i thought everyone checked in online these days. Last but not least were the steps down to the water. No beach or pool here, but if you're careful and adventurous, it is possible to jump into the pristine water and enjoy a swim in the shadow of the majestic landscape. Hopefully there is a plan to build more view cottages or to convert the main building to room units with views, because the views really are truly amazing.

My partner and I stayed here for a week and a half. Great location with breathtaking sunsets and snorkeling right in front of the door. The room was really cozy and clean, beds and pillows super comfortables and we had a fan, A/C, hot water with great pressure and kitchenette that was really useful to have. We had breakfast everyday at the resort and we loved it. Fruits, juice, eggs, packages, coffee, all super tasty and all the staff always so smiley and helpful. Frank, the owner, was really helpful with his knowledge about the island and guide us with useful information about what to do, where to go and where to eat. Overall we had an amazing stay at Tongatok Cliff resort.
