The rooms are very big with a living room and pentry and veranda. Standard is ok, AC is good. ther is a pool, unfortunatly without sun our view. but a nice pool never the less. What prevents me from giving this place a higher score is the horrible stench in the bathroom, like suage and mold. I had to keep the fan going all the time to keep the stench from escaping into the bedroom.

We loved our stay here! Mabini was more expensive that our usual accommodation but as we were visiting in Holy Week, this was the only price range left so we came here. What a lovely place! The room: spacious with very effective air conditioning. Warm shower (not great pressure but still fine to use). Kitchen area (we didn’t really use it though) with a fridge and utensils and hob. Comfy bed, a sofa and nice sized table that I could work at. The common area: lovely pool, nice staff on the whole and GREAT pizza!!! The cutest girl, Kyleen, living there with the cutest puppy, Harley! My drone crashed on the side of a volcano and one of the ladies working there helped me arrange to get her friend to come and help me get through thick bush for hours to find it. She really went above and beyond and was super friendly helping us with our Tagalog and Visaya. The location: good for being in the centre of Mambajao but actually it’s probably better to be staying a few kms up the road where the best restaurants on the island are (eg Guerrera). We had a scooter so not an issue for us, and we really enjoyed the pizza there a few times! Also it’s a little better in some respects as it’s more central so you can get to attractions on the east side or centre of the island more quickly. WiFi: seemed slightly better downstairs and although they had boosters to reach the rooms it was essentially unusable. I couldn’t do anything on it. Not ideal when data was pretty poor there too but fine if you have a local sim and don’t need the internet for work. We definitely recommend it!

we arrived a bit late on schedule. it was about less than an hour drive from the port of benoni but since it was already dark and raining, this added up to the travel time. we had dinner at the pool area and played a game of billiards afterwards. too bad, though, that there were no darts available. before calling it a night, we arranged for the island tour the next day. we did not bother to haggle with the cost since there are standard rates already. the tour is managed also by the lodging and since it is an off-season time, it was just my husband and me, with no joiners. the staff were polite and service was good. the food was good and in hefty servings. except for the free breakfast included. but then, we are not much of a breakfast people, so it was kinda OK for us. the room we had was huge and could easily accommodate about 8 persons. even the bathroom is big. one thing though, that needs much improvement is the bathroom where we stayed in. though there is hot water in the tap and shower, there is no bidet and the exhaust fan is not working, and part of the ceiling needs repair. other than those things, we had a great time at the lodge.

The place was great, it was clean and also has a kitchen that makes it really homey and the staff were nice and accommodating! The pool is not that big but it has a sidebar. I would definitely go back here and recommend this place to a friend!
