Detailed Reviews
My Mom and I stayed here in a bungalow queen room for 3 days. The AC room provides the basic necessities including basic toiletries. Decently sized for 2 pax. Very satisfied with the room.
Regarding the meals, apart form breakfast you will not find anything to eat in the hotel for the rest of the meals. No room service of any sort except coffee or tea on charge during the day if you request for it. This provision was a surprise but I guess we understood due to the location we were at.
The resort itself is a quaint, comfortable, well maintained and beautiful property. At the time we were there, I think we were the only guests.
Customer service is top class with such comfort. While the Filipino people generally can be quite friendly, Ms Joy was supportive and flexible all throughout our stay. Also very kind and service friendly.
I would stay here again, except for the fact that there is no place to eat in the hotel or right outside. You need to walk at least 5 mins or more to get to a restaurant. Never tried it so not sure about the kinds. Staying with my mom and grandma visiting and since we were not on an adventure holiday, would like easy eat outs available.

Response from Strutz Art-G-Resort, Owner at Strutz Art Garden Resort
Responded Mar 24, 2020
Dear AmorKotum, Thank you for having stayed with us and for taking the time to write a detailed review. Yes, we take special pride in our customer service; we want to make every guest feel at home. You mentioned other meals than breakfast. We are foremost a bed and breakfast; we do not have a restaurant. However, we do cook dinner for our guests, if they give prior notice to our staff. Indeed, this is a bigger concern for us that we intend to improve in the future. Right now, we are building an open terrace with an integrated kitchen that will allow easier meal service to our guests. On the other hand, there are quite a few restaurants in town that we recommend to our guests, but as you say they are at least 5 minutes’ walk or drive away. New is the construction of a Max’s Restaurant very close to the resort, just at the intersection with the highway (300m away). In any case, thank you for your review and I hope we will be able to see you again here in the near future! We will cook for you. The Strutz Art Garden Resort Team.

I am a landscape photographer and visited Bangued to shoot Kaparkan Falls. We looked at many options online and decided on the Strutz Art Garden Resort. We are very happy with our choice!
The Team in Strutz Garden were extremely friendly and helpful prior to our arrival, and from the moment we arrived through to our departure. My landscape photography work depends in part upon weather. Up front I asked Mr. Strutz if the weather was bad, if I could move my reservation window to a different week. He was extremely accommodating and in fact a Super Typhoon blasted through Abra the day before we were to arrive. I moved my reservation out by one week.
Upon arrival we were immediately greeting by the facility Manager Lilia. My 1st impression was that the facility & grounds were extremely well maintained. The registration was quick and our room was beautiful. I would go so far as to say our room was in "like new" condition. Lilia & James had our breakfast ready on time each day, even accommodating our early shoot schedule. The swimming pool was impeccably clean and a lovely sight while taking our breakfast poolside. By the way, I highly recommend the Vigan Longaniza!
Each day our room attendant Matet was there with fresh towels and a smile as she refreshed our room.
At night Lilia was there to greet us, like coming home to Family. She was always ready with recommendations for my wife to visit during the day while I was shooting & more recommendations for places to go for dinner.
Frankly, we were sad when departure morning rolled around, we would like to have stayed another day or two, but we needed to proceed with our vacation schedule.
Thank a million to Mr. Strutz, Lilia, James and Matet for an AbraMazing experience!

It is already a couple of months ago. But this is the place to stay in Bangued.
We were searching for a place to stay a couple of days because we had to visit our family in Mudeng(across the bridge).
We found it on google after several tries with the 2 others hotel(they called afterwards that they were fully booked by the government).
By accident one of the employees was a relative of our uncle. Aurora(owner of the property) gives you a warm welcome and will take care of you in an excellent way.
Rooms are very good and comfy as known in the ‘western part of the world’. Swimming pool and garden are very clean and relaxing
I would definitely come back here when i will stay in Abra.

If you want to have a clean and comforting stay in bangued, this hotel is where you should be. Its behind the new hospital. The hotel is superb inside and out. Its like you’re not in bangued. Every corner is clean and neat and designed veeeeery nicely. The air conditioning cools up the room whole room as cool as want, and the washroom is 5 star nice and clean. The whole hotel is 5 star. Taking pictures at the pool is instagram worthy :) The staff were very nice and accommodating the owner. Everyone is courteous and kind. This is what makes this hotel resort the best out there in bangued BY FAR.

My mom, grandma and I had a great time. We only stayed for 2 nights. The ambiance of the resort was relaxing. It felt like the resort was not part of the busy city. The rooms were clean and the bathroom tiles were not slippery. Also, we had good, home cooked food for breakfast and dinner near the pool. The owners and staff were very accommodating and helpful.

Our immediate and extended family (total of 6) stayed for 5 nights. Each of the rooms is modern and super clean. The breakfast was delicious. The staff/owners went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Knowing that this property is in Bangued make it much easier to book another trip since we know that there is a quality lodging option.

We had the best stay in Strutz Art Garden Resort! We were not aware of this brand New resort in Bangued until it pops up on Google.
And we were very suprised, especially my dad, who lived in the arena of Bangued.
The rooms are spacious, very clean and have all the things you would like to have in a resort (airco, warm water, fridge). The rooms are in the garden of the owners house. The pool was very nice as it was 34 degrees!
Aurora, the owner, and her family are very sweet, helpful and will make sure that you will get everything you need for your stay.
So again, thank you for our stay, will definitely come back when we visit our family and bring some stroopwafels for you 😄

The place is refresshing with lots of greenery and blooms. The room is large so is the bed. There is no screen door so mosquitoes are likewise invited to come in when you open the door. The air conditioning unit horsepower is not compatible with the size of the room. Pillows are too soft for our needs. There is no electric water thermos for coffe or tea. No complimentary coffee, tea nor drinking water. The dining area is hot. No signage from the main road to the resort.

Response from StrutzArt-G-Resort, Owner at Strutz Art Garden Resort
Responded May 8, 2019
Hello Ms. Perpetua, Thank you for having been our guest and for writing a review…and for making our last name into a verb! Please allow me to reply to your other comments in your review. Screen doors: Our guests mostly use air conditioning and for this very reason keep the doors closed. All windows are equipped with mosquito screens. The air conditioning unit in each room is a split inverter type, less than 2 years old, well functioning and the size has been selected to fit the size of the room. The remote control has a lot of buttons and functions that can be confusing and where we might have to explain better to our guests. Now, it is the hottest time in the year with maximum outside temperatures between 32 and 34 C. We followed up your remark and made a test at 2pm when it is really hot: the room can be cooled down to 21 C. We do have harder pillows for guests who prefer firmer ones. We do provide each guest with bottled water. We offer freshly brewed coffee or tea as well as other drinks in the resort at little cost. The dining area is an open nipa hut equipped with electric ceiling fans. We are currently working on putting up signage from the main road to the resort. We would love to welcome you back in the future. The Strutz Art Garden Resort Team.
