We stayed here recently for a quick couples getaway. The room was setup as I planned with music playing, sparkling wine and the decent size meat and cheese platter. And the chocolate covered strawberries. It was a lovely big room and we loved the outdoor spa. I notice a previous review saying alcohol was forbidden in the spa but it is just a warning about drinking alcohol and being in a hot spa causing dehydration which is a good warning. People can’t read. We loved our wine in the spa. The food was absolutely amazing. Part of the great experience was having the food prepared but cooking it in our own time and to our liking. We can’t fault the food. There was even complimentary port, popcorn, hot chocolate and biscuits. We got our firewood and fireplace cleaned the next day. We got the picnic hamper and took it to the botanic gardens and had it at the tulip festival. The hamper was beyond amazing. There was only mishap where our spa booking was missed but they quickly offered a refund but also got us in before we left in the morning and it was nice. I have read the bad reviews and it seems people don’t read anything on the website or what the experience is about, because I absolutely knew what was planned (with the cooking our own food ect) it was the reason why I chose the place. I also loved feeding the alpacas. If you don’t want to have to cook your own food or do your dishes then isn’t the place for you, because I loved it for this reason.

It was our first stay at Hidden Valley Eco Lodges, however, it won't be out last.

We stayed on a Friday / Saturday night in October 2021.

We arranged for the welcome package, meat & cheese platter on arrival, vegetarian breakfast for Saturday morning & then the french lamb cutlets for dinner on Saturday night to ensure our time was spent relaxing, recharging and not going hungry!

I don't remember staying at such a lovely, warm, friendly, clean & peaceful place. We were early and our room wasn't ready, (which is fine as we were early, or some might say eager!), no problem, we were given a glass of bubbles to relax while we waited.

Our room was sparkling clean & it is the little extra details that you appreciate. DVDs to borrow to watch at your leisure, microwave popcorn to eat while you enjoy the movie, cookies to go with your tea / coffee in the morning and some port to enjoy in the evening.

The spa was lovely and warm, we were in and out of it all weekend. There is also a double hammock to relax in.

We stayed in the Orchard and it was incredible. We did not see another soul unless we went looking for someone.

The food! There was so much food, and such good quality. It is in your fridge to cook / eat at your leisure, which works for us, a little nibble here and there. We packed a deck of cards and a board game to truly unwind.

There are alpacas and sheep which you can wander over to say hi and feed (we checked with the owner first - who by the way is absolutely lovely). We asked if we could walk to Core Cider and were given clear instructions & also offered SPF so we didn't get burnt (also got to pat a horse on the way there).

We loved it so much we rebooked in for another visit next year!

Absolutely loved this place! Stayed two nights with my partner and it was really lovely. All the small touches have been thought of which make this stay so great. The deck with the Spa, Hammock, Table and BBQ make for a lovely day and night of grazing, sipping wine and nature watching. The room size is open and calming. Definitely book into the Day Spa for a massage or treatment, the staff and facilities were high class. The food waiting for you in the fridge to cook at your own leisure was fresh and so yummy. Be sure to check out Bean 2 Brook (coffee shop) which is literally down the road for a takeaway barista coffee to bring back to your hammock too! can't wait to come back here in the Winter months also! thanks Hidden Valley x

Recently spent 3 nights here. Room was comfortable and well equipped however I was disappointed to find they were rooms and not individual lodges as the advertising implies. There are two blocks of ‘eco lodges’. An older block with two rooms near the day spa and a newer rammed earth block lower down with three rooms. The rooms do have a nice deck area with a jacuzzi and barbecue. Our room overlooked a rush walled garden and backed into the main car park so not really a quiet bushland setting. The other rooms did have a bushland outlook. It was pleasant laying in the comfortable hammock provided though. We enjoyed the jacuzzi but found it difficult and somewhat dangerous climbing down into and out of it as there was nothing to hold onto, a hand rail really should be installed for safety.
Another issue we had was there is no fly screens on the windows or sliding door which meant we couldn’t adequately ventilate the room. I did leave the window open one night and found bugs, a couple of spiders and flies in the room in the morning.
I did love the facial treatment at the day spa.
My last comment is this is not a cheap getaway and I would have expected the room to be serviced daily and not to have to go to the office to get fresh towels when required.
My overall impression is the accommodation is over priced for what it offers.

The website advertised rooms with forest views, double hammock, tranquility. We certainly didn't find any of these features in the room called Paperbark!! The only views were those of a straw fence and a water tank, no forrest to be seen, nor hammock! $500 a night and had booked a room 2 months prior for my husband's 50th, saw the photos and read the description on their website which gave me a false impression. The room we got was definitely not the ones pictured! They were unable to offer another room and I was told that the owner would not refund our money should we chose to cancel. Terrible service, I became quite angry at this comment and demanded a refund as we definitely were not paying that amount for a sub average room and had no interest in staying following her comments. Beware if you choose to stay here!

Hi Jacky Sorry to read your harsh review of Hidden Valley & the lovely lodge we assigned to you. Our Paperbark Lodge has forest views and a hammock plus a private outdoor heated jacuzzi and fireplace. We often have guests requesting this lodge as it’s their favourite. You demanded a full refund which was arranged on the spot. Not sure why you found it necessary to post this review after getting what you requested - a full refund and to have the opportunity to book a more suitable resort. We have a continual 5 star review status on google business and Facebook so it goes to prove you cannot please every guest. I sincerely hope you found somewhere nice to celebrate your husbands special birthday.

I let the staff know that the spa was cold and didn't heat up in 8 hours and was told that it was my fault for not calling ahead to make sure.
Apparently because other guests staying the same night haven't complained then it must have been my fault.
Don't stay if you want to use the facilities advertised on the site

A simply sublime couple's getaway. The staff were brilliant, friendly and respectful, while the surroundings were wonderfully decadent. The lodge was stylish, clean, bed huge, soft and comfortable. The food provided was fresh and champagne chilled to perfection. The spa was lovely and relaxing especially the divine couple's massage. The perfect romantic getaway.

A top 10 day in my life! We had a 4.5 hour session. My therapist was Paola and she was absolutely wonderful.

I'm a fairly aged man and have never done this sort of thing before. Wow! I could have been getting this treatment for years and have missed out.

We had the foot and leg treatment, coffee scrub, foot massage, full body massage, head massage, facial (as a man of an age that did not understand what that meant, I cannot believe how wonderful a facial is!), grazing platter and private time in a jacuzzi.

This was a very special, wonderful experience that I intend to take advantage of many times in the future.

I cannot rate this highly enough.

A truly amazing experience.
This is what money was made for.
Do yourself a favour an spend a day (or more) at this venue.

And my face is fabulous!

Lovely peaceful spot. Masseuses carried out their job very professionally but also had a great sense of humour. The lodge had everything we needed - an exceedingly comfortable bed, loads of wood for the fire but personally we would have liked the spa temperature to be a couple of degrees higher. It would most certainly have been too cold for us if it had been the middle of winter.

We highly recommend Hidden Valley!! Brilliant place to unwind and relax in luxury. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and did an exceptional job at our couples Spa visit. Lodge was peaceful and the complementary items, including the port and cookies, were much appreciated. We were not disturbed for the two night stay for our wedding anniversary. Very beautiful bushland and picturesque orchard areas for a drive or walks with good restaurants around. We loved the getaway and indulgence. We hope to be back one day, thank you!
