Casa Bellavista is our farmhouse open to those travellers that are looking for an authentic experience. Very close to Buenos Aires, we invite you to travel back in time and connect with nature in a beautiful town, 20 kilometres away from San Antonio de Areco. Delicious breakfasts in the garden, rural biking, horseback riding, nights under the stars and lots of peace to discover that here time runs slowly.
This place is an insult towards any other hospedaje in Argentina who is trying to meet guests in a decent manner and trying to make business in right way, with respect to the guests and not thinking only about money. The building is great indeed, a wonderful colonial house in a quiet and nice city, but it looks like it was opened two days ago after 70 years of abandonment, put up a bed and put the guests in. Dirty, old stuff everywhere, abandoned medicine, leafs inside the closets. Horrible conditions everywhere. The owner stalked us prior to our arrival to sell us activities, and it’s easy to understand why, since money is the only thing that matter, not the guests relax, not cleaning or helping (nobody helped us with the luggage, they were just looking). Dogs roams freely and nobody say nothing, even when doing “breakfast”, that means a dirty table full of flies, with juice poured hours before in open glasses, and coffee available in an old thermos. As an addiction, they don't give you a key to the room because "forget security", so everyone can go in or out. We literally run away, after paying the highest price payed in Argentina in a single night, in dollars and with all the taxes that are not due from foreign visitors. Visit the city, the pueblo and the beautiful country but stay well away from this place.…

Response from Casa B, Propietario at Casa Bellavista
Responded Sep 28, 2018

Casa Bellavista is a family-run guesthouse in the rural hinterland of Buenos Aires. Hosts Sebastian and Victoria made our family feel right at home. It's a historic house from the Argentinian heydays of 1920s with many original features. There are also modern conveniences too (e.g. wi-fi) but it's the sort of place where you feel like putting your phone or devices down and soaking up the atmosphere or talking over a relaxing drink in the spacious garden amongst fruit trees. There's a games room with a ping-pong table, mountain bikes, plenty of outdoor games which kept the children occupied. The rooms are large with high ceilings. Ours had an ensuite with a free-standing clawfoot bath, with our children in an adjacent room. We arranged meals in advance through Sebastian and we were very happy with the quality of the food. Our hosts also arranged a horseback tour with a friendly local gaucho (he has a wide selection of horses and chose some which were well suited to novice riders like us). There's a swimming pool however we were visiting in winter so we were more interested in the wood stove (pot-belly style). The village is friendly and the local shop keepers are colourful characters. There are a couple of nice dining options in Villia Lia itself or otherwise there are plenty of dining options in the nearby town of San Antonio de Areco if you have a vehicle to explore the surrounding area. We're looking forward to our next visit to this beautiful place.…

So many wonderful things about this place! Lovely breakfast, clean bathrooms, very homey feel to the space itself. Good wifi, and it was in an absolutely fabulous part of town! Very centrally located. The staff were willing to speak to me even with my broken and halting Spanish. Overall a very happy experience. I locked myself out and they kindly let me back in with no complaints.

Very personal run guesthouse in beautiful house in the middle of a tiny village, just what I was looking for. I biked around, had good food, visited San Antonio De Areco (very nice). Go for it! get some rest from busy Buenos Aires. A 2 hour bus drive or faster if you have a car.

We stayed two nights in this beautiful old style house and we definitely loved it. Sebastian took care of us in any way possible. He is very nice, knows a lot about the town, San Antonio de Areco and was willing to give us advice and helped us in whatever we need. Also, we decided to eat there and the homemade food was delicious. It was winter so it was cold during the night, but the house has good heating system. I don't usually write reviews but I think that this place is worth visiting if you want to see a quiet, small, rural town in Buenos Aires. Besides, the house is in great conditions and has everything you need to have a relaxing, quiet time from the noise of the city. I will be coming back again. Thanks!

Sebastian and his staff welcomed us very warmly in Casa Bellavista. We had an incredibly relaxing time there. Part of it is because the farmhouse is a serene environment, with the pool, the large garden, the trees. Part of it is because of the wonderful food they cooked for us for breakfast and dinner (an asado, local charcuterie and cheeses, freshly squeezed orange juices). But the biggest part of it was how Sebastian always tries his hardest to make you feel comfortable. In advance of our stay, he was very diligent about organizing our transfers from the Buenos Aires airport, about finding activities for us around the hotel, and about making the type of food we wanted to it! While Casa Bellavista is not right in San Antonio de Areco, it is a convenient 15 minutes ride, and it's in such a peaceful village you may never want to go to San Antonio anyway. I warmly recommend it!…

Casa Bellavista is a lovely place to calm down and to enjoy the countryside. The house has a beautiful interior, a nice garden and balcony. It is a perfect place to stay 2-3 overnights, just 20 km far away from San Antonio de Areco.. Sebastian, the sympatically owner of casa bellavista, was every time very helpful and open minded. He and his employees were every time very helpful with useful informations or to arrange for us by telephone a day trip to an "estancia" in the neighbourhood. Ther breakfast was delicious! The location "Villa Lia" is extremely calm and safe. In the village a very good and wellknown restaurant is opened just on friday and sunday... Thanks for all Sebastian.

We stayed there ( in Villa Lia, ~20 km from San Antonio de Areco ) for 3 nights. The place is a stunningly beautifully restored Villa. Host Sebastian is passionate about the place.atmosphere was relaxing, comfortable and meals were very decent. Had wonderful ASADO. Pool on the small side but still refreshing. Needed to take bus into town as we did not have a car!
