Our room was in a small bungalow in green area. It is small but very comfortable and well heated. At 1600 meter above sea level it gets cold at night or when the sun disappears in the afternoon. If you want to see the volcano it is important to leave very early (at sun rise) as there often clouds in the afternoon. On our way back in the afternoon it was so foggy that we could see just 5 meters. There are no eating opportunities on walking distance except the hotel restaurant where the food is fine at prices similar as in France (but nothing to write home about)..it is situated about 1 km from the main road and it is better to have your own wheels, if you stay at this hotel. After having visited the volcano it is more pleasant to stay close to the coast as it is warmer and rains less.

Our hotel is 45 minutes from the volcano at 1600 m altitude. Tourists come to do the volcano and not to spend long holidays. In the mountains, the weather is nice in the morning and foggy in the afternoon. We are not responsible for bad weather.

We had a bungalow, two rooms and a bathroom. The room shape was a little odd but otherwise, all was fine. The place is clean, nice size bathroom with plenty of hot water. There is also a small porch to sit outside.

This was perfect for a 1-night stay, with close proximity to the volcano. Room was comfortable and spacious, however the bathroom was dated. It's on a large quiet property with horses. Staff were friendly and helpful. We chose to eat dinner at the restaurant. The breakfast was very basic continental - but this seems to be standard in Reunion (French).

Attempted to get a room here. We succeeded but no restaurant because there were not enough customers to warrant opening the restaurant for dinner. Place has cowboy theme. Staff were professionally cold. Decided not to stay here, and won't go back for they will only cater for large parties and I wouldn't like to eat with a coach load of people in a restaurant.
