3,5 stars A mini holiday with a well behaving 3,5-year-old. The room we had booked was revealed at the check-in not to have air conditioning and was not one of the remodelled ones. Upgrade possible for either 10€ or 30€ into one of the renovated room. Only one 10€ standard was left but it didn’t have a working tv, so we could’ve have it for free. Decided to take the superior one with 30€ extra. Room was a pleasant surprise. Big beds and you could turn the thermostat lower. Also very quiet - until there’s actual noise in the corridor. We also liked the spa area. I felt the air war warmer and everything had been repaired or painted. The new restaurant Little Italy was a disappointing. Higher price, mediocre food. You could order a dish for a child for half a price from the adults’ menu. We were still billed for the full amount. The burger that I got, was fully cooked and the patty was obviously one of those ready-made-ones. Burger was all in all cold and the mozzarella definitely was not buffalo’s. I bet the burger would have been better (or same) in the Food Market stand. I could hear the (new?) waitresses were a bit puzzled (maybe someone more experienced should offer them some support so they know to ask the right questions from customers). Friendly yes, no complaints there. The breakfast was also disappointing - to me. Child was happy to eat pancakes. Narrow aisles. 3-4 different sausages but almost no greens available. Watery scrambled eggs. (Are the cooks too just graduated or just fed up with their job ‘cause that’s what it looks like). Bread did not feel fresh though it might have been. Also: it was the same bread that is available everywhere. Seemed a bit cheap choice to serve. All in all: if you are here for the child, great. But doesn’t really offer anything to the adults. Small improvements with staff and food could go a long way though.…
The friendliness of the employees was awesome, it was a really nice visit. I can recommend to stay there for a day / a few hours. Food at the pool was great too. I had opposite experience a year ago, so I hope that really changed now. Unfortunately the hotel still looks quite old from the outside.
Visiting this hotel after many many years I was delighted by the friendly service. All members of the personnel, from reception desk to pool security, and from breakfast restaurant to housekeeping team they all greeted me and expressed genuine interest towards their customers wellbeing.
When we arrived our room trash can was literally full of poo and diapers. Otherwise room was cleaned. The other room had some old rotten food in fridge. Cleaning in this hotel seems to below average. Tablet, which was suppose to a Phone did not work, neither Streaming on TV. Spa was Ok, food in Spa bar not that bad. Still looking forward to see how this ends, but first impression was terrible.
By far the best customer service I've ever experienced. Friendly, smiling and helpful staff in reception, room service and kitchen. The rooms (basic ones) are clean and just good for a couple nights to stay. Pool area were way more better than in other spa-hotels in Tampere area if you have children with you. Will come again for sure.
A good family hotel & spa. Breakfast was pretty good and tasty. I booked a room for allergic needs but it was quite dusty and I had difficulties to sleep because of that. At spa I remember there was a sauna with eucalyptus aroma couple of years ago. I really liked that but it had been removed, which is a pity. Sauna area was now very basic and dull. Nothing special compared to other places. Hotel was still worth to visit.
Eden Scandic is not too far from Tampere. The resort is mainly for families visiting spa. The spa itself is good for young children - lots of pools, slides, waves, waterfalls. There is also a basic gym, but nothing too fancy. Playgrounds for kids. Restaurant is nothing special. Breakfast is also run-off-the-mill, awful coffee. Rooms are good, good beds, bathroom is spacious.
The kitchen staff were really rude and rude, you even ran out of toast at the hotel. Which is really embarrassing and no one even applied for more, the food was tasteless and the kids always had the same food. Our family visited this hotel for the first and last time.
Pools and the slides are fun, many different saunas to pick from. Hotel itself is a bit outdated tho it has gone through some changes since the 90's. The good thing is that there's couple of restaurants to pick from to dine in but unfortunately this time we ended up waiting for our dinner over an hour which the kids didn't really appreciate. Okay stay for one night.
First of all, this hotel is very small, the food was nothing special, but the service was terrible, also the few from the hotel was as well terrible. All that we saw was dirty concrete from the same building. The service is quite poor. Order food at the bar, the guy there was definately not enjoying his job. Same as in the restaurant, the employees start a fight on purpose how it looks like. I would not recommend to visit this place. The hotel is located at the location where there is nothing to see, except a few apartment blocks which look the same. For going there for a day, maybe, but definately not for a holiday for a few days or even a week.
