#4 of 13 hotels in Paleokastritsa
Travelers' Choice
The fact that was built in this location was not a coincidence. The natural beauty of the surroundings, where crystal-clear waters meet lush mountains, makes the location unique. Zefiros hotel is built on 4 levels joined by external stairs, in pure traditional Corfiot style(the whole complex is classified as historic building). Today, we, the third generation of owners, have renovated the building and are offering a family atmosphere and homely surroundings, with modern furnishings and facilities in all 11 room

Note: we have not been at the hotel. This is a try to reach out to the owner. We had to cancel our stay this summer, which we did according to the policy in a timely manner to get the deposit (~350€) fully reimbursed. Unfortunately any try to contact the hotel to reimburse the deposit was not answered and the deposit is still open. I would be glad for any feedback!

Wonderful choice for a lazy beach vacation steps from 3 of the most beautiful beaches you can think of. Easygoing, pleasant and yet super professional staff. Basic facilities but comfortable and clean. Great restaurant to any part of the day. Very much recommended

There are various beaches at Paleokatstritsa, but Zefiros is ideally located very close to the best one and very convenient for both the port and the visit to the monastery. The room was very large with a very comfortable big bed and nice balcony with a table and sun loungers. The view was unfortunately slightly spoiled by a bit of a ruined building between the hotel and the beach. Everything was very clean and it was worth paying the small additional fee for the excellent breakfast. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic hotel, we were treated so well from the moment we arrived. Firstly they have taken Covid very seriously and the hotel and restaurant are spotless, they are constantly cleaning and we felt totally safe there. The rooms are fabulous, each one different with character. The restaurant/cafe serves a fabulous breakfast, don't miss the Greek yogert with fresh fruits, honey and walnuts although my husband did and really enjoyed the English breakfast. We also had several dinners, all very good and excellent value. Everyone there is very friendly and we were really looked after very well. The only small negative for us was being by a road, although this only leads to a car park so no noise in the evenings and at night.

We last visited Corfu and this place in 2017 and needed to get away from the post lockdown and BREXIT blues. This location and hotel is such a perfect find and looks too good to be true. It’s always reassuring to see familiar faces and the hotel staff are exactly the same team that we remembered from 2017, including the lovely lady that cleans our room. They all seem so happy in their work and there is obviously a low turnover of staff which is nice to see. Irena, Jonny, Ashley and all are super friendly, helpful, efficient and hard-working. Of course they also focused this time on ensuring Covid safety measures are in place and adhered to, whilst not detracting from that ‘holiday’ feeling. The hotel is an old building, lovingly and tastefully maintained, keeping original features such that you could imagine what it must have been like to reside here almost a century ago. Spotlessly clean, bright airy rooms and delicious and varied choice of breakfast; my favourite being Greek yoghurt with fruit salad, topped with walnuts and drizzled with honey. The rooms are laid out and noise- proof to the extent that you forget anybody else is staying until you go to the dining area. Perfectly located with views over the turquoise cove which lies a few metres away. A great area to explore with lots of high quality eateries close by and plenty of walks to be had (when it’s not too hot). You can even test your nerves and drive up the local mountain roads; some breath-taking views await. The beaches can get a little busy with day-trippers arriving from cruise ships but of course not this year. To sum up, a cracking hotel run by family to very high standards with great attention to detail and quality.
