It is our pleasure to welcome you in Zoe Seaside Resort, which is located on the vibrant and elegant beach of Gialova with its crystal clear waters. Pull up to our Hotel for the first time and you’ll be greeted by the spirited energy of Navarino Bay and the ancient island of Sfakteria. With a total of 42 rooms and suites, our seaside destination combines simplicity with a luxury touch. At Zoe Seaside Resort, you can do everything or nothing at all. We give you the room you need to relax, unwind and recharge in whatever way you would like. Whatever is the reason for your visit, whether it’s pleasure, a special occasion or a little bit of both, we are certain you will come back again and again, because Zoe Seaside Resort has the magic, everybody is looking for… Zoe Seaside Resort is situated on a beautiful beach along the northern shores of the Navarino Bay. Its location right at the sea line makes it the top destination in Gialova, being also at a short walking distance from various cafe’s, tavernas and other shops of the village. Zoe Resort takes its name after Zoe, meaning “life” in Greek. Zoe was also the name of the mother of Mr. Stavros Giannoutsos, who founded the Hotel Zoe back in the 1970’s, the first hotel in Gialova. As the orthodox tradition requires, Zoe’s name passed onto Stavros’ and Voulas’ daughter, who welcomes you today along with her brother Theodore in Zoe Resort. The family management of the Resort ensures that all the guests will be taken care of warmly and friendly during their whole stay, as if they were part of our family.

We paid for a sea view room with balcony but trees obscured the sea view and a busy road is immediately outside the hotel so we did not use the balcony. The room was spacious and beds very comfortable. The hotel is very much a family resort so can get noisy around the pool area. There are rows of sun beds on the beach for hotel guests.
There are plenty of good restaurants along the strip next to the hotel and a lovely traditional taverna opposite. In conclusion we made the wrong choice as we usually holiday in the remoter islands and the hotel and resort lacked that special Greek ambiance.

Our studio was a very large studio overlooking the garden, swimming pool & sea in the distance. The room was somewhat dark. The kitchen utensils were very basic if you were considering cooking here. It would have been good to have a toaster. The beds are not sprung and although I found reasonably comfortable my partner complained about the lack of give in the mattress. The bathroom was exceedingly small - the bath very small (I didn’t even try it because I knew it would be uncomfortable). There is hardly any space to stand up when out of the shower. It’s hard to understand why the bathrooms were designed to be so small when the rooms are so large. The furniture is of the large Greek traditional style. There are beautiful gardens surrounding the resort where they grow vegetables & fruit of all kinds. There are a number of ponds with frogs which make a lot of froggie chirping noises. Tge swimming pool is beautiful and a good size but deep even at the shallow end. It would be nice if there were a paddling pool and small pool for children. This is not a pool suitable for children unless they’re good swimmers. The sea view rooms at the front of the main hotel look overlook the trees in front on the lower floors and all balconies look over the street infront and below so not private at all. The breakfasts are adequate and nice but not exceptional and it gets busy around 9.30 when most people turn up. There is only one toaster in use. The staff are friendly and the resort is very clean. Sun beds are provided with staff who bring drinks when requested. The sea is very flat with no waves and the beach is fairly stony. The restaurant is very nice and mainly in the shade under the trees. The menu is small and probably one of the more expensive ones in the area. This is not an authentic Greek village but man made promenade with mainly restaurants and one food general shop. Is is mainly international tourists and most of the Greek people are the staff. The resort is expensive but this is probably due to its location near the beach and the fact it has a swimming pool. Found it to be an expensive place to stay but enjoyable still.

Many thanks to all the hotel staff. Mrs. Voula, always present and soft-spoken. The guys at the restaurant and on the beach are very helpful. The dining area, shady, clean and neat. Very good organization of the beach. Excellent breakfast and dinner. The garden is amazing. They grow tomatoes, peppers, pumpkins for the needs of the restaurant. The oranges are full of fruit, so the juice at breakfast was fresh. Plus they have huge banana trees, loaded bananas that we enjoyed in our breakfast. Three ponds with fish and water lilies beautify the garden. Finally, I would like to thank the ladies who took care of the cleanliness of our room.

My wife and I are not fans of large hotel complexes and nice, smaller hotels are getting harder to find. We were meeting up with my daughter and family in Greece and it was she who found the delightful Zoe Seaside Resort in Gialova. We had a nice room on the first floor which had a spacious balcony looking out over the bay. The staff were very helpful and welcoming on our arrival after a long drive down from Athens. The bedroom has the usual fridge, tea, coffee, hair dryer etc with plenty of hanging space. Very clean and pleasant bathroom with a good shower. Breakfast is buffet style, but the real bonus is then walking out with your tray to sit at the tables under the trees and looking out over the bay. Just a few more steps then takes you out onto the beach where they have plenty of sunbeds and they provide service of drinks etc . You can eat both lunch or dinner at the hotel, but also turn right out of the hotel, walk 20 yards and you have the small seafront with a good selection of restaurants, bars and grills. They have a very nice swimming pool but the sea was so nice for swimming, with a gently shelving sand base that was very safe for the young grandchildren to join us in the water. We also hired a paddle board for the day at 30 Euros, delivered right to the hotel. Mountain bikes were 122 Euros a day to hire from the same business. Can't really fault the place and we shall definitely go back next year.

We stayed at Zoe Seaside Resort for 14 days and had a rental car for 10 days. The rooms are spacious and very clean, we received fresh towels every day. We had a view of the sea, albeit a little distant, on the large balcony. The whole complex is very well maintained and the hotel also grows its own vegetables and fruit which you get for breakfast or dinner. We only had breakfast included and were very pleased with the large selection of fresh fruit, cheese and eggs or strudels. Fresh orange juice and other juices rounded out the great selection.
We are also delighted with the big dog that roams around Gialova in the evenings. He is tolerated by everyone and is a very friendly, albeit huge, dog.
We will gladly come again!

Magnificent hotel with flowered paths, the surroundings of the buildings and the swimming pool are very neat, the restaurant shaded by multitudes of trees. The owner family and employees are warm and welcoming, the swimming pool is large, very well maintained, very pleasant, the beach too! The family room (for 4, with kitchen, lounge area, terrace) is large, and the air conditioning is impeccable and silent!

Being given a front ground floor room we were a little apprehensive about road noise, and nearby tavernas - need not have worried. Fortunately there was a Covid restriction on music and vehicle movements at night. Our room was well appointed and very good bathroom with wet room shower and toiletries. Small balcony was appreciated as we could view the sea and some of the comings and goings over a drink in the evening. While having breakfast under the trees and by the sea was very nice there were some short comings with the food supply. Bread did seem a little stale at times, trying to have a fresh orange juice was a problem (did not seem to understand) and the mixed fruit salad was not very varied. Covid necessities were well maintained. Beach chairs are free, appreciated as the next beach (while enjoyable) was a 30 minute walk away along the lagoon. Reception did help us with taxi use to Pylos as the buses were not running. Did have evening meal here, nice setting but limited menu and dearer than the competition. Would return for a week as a restful chilled out place with several eating options close by..

spent 16 nights here and could have stayed longer. We were in apartment with accessible needs. Large and well appointed. Staff great and friendly. FROGS abound so would advise having an apartment facing seaward which gives some protection from noise. Rooms 105-108 or 205-208. Breakfast buffet more than adequate for anyone's needs. Great pool and seafront with beach umbrellas and sunbeds BUT the hotel allow non-residents to use at a nominal rate of 2.5 euros per person whoch led to noisy and sometimes unruly people on to the beach which interefered with it's calm situation. Area will be outpriced soon due to new "resorts" being built so go earlier rather than later to experience this lovley place.

First of all, we had a fabulous room with a fantastic seaview and modern amenities. This was the positive side.
The pool: kids are not allowed to jump in the pool - while the depth is 180cm. So in one week we spend 10 mins at the pool. I am all for safety but pool also needs to be fun. The pool boy was not the most friendly one.
Breakfast: because of covid19 they took safety measures which is good, but their way is very inefficient which makes you have to wait for a long time every morning. If you are unlucky your waiting time for brekkie is 30 mins. I have seen other hotels taken more efficient measures.
Room cleaning: because they call themselves a hotel, you expect a tidied up bed every day and a wipe of the floor. Also because of covid19 they tell you that they dont clean everyday. But I book a hotel, because I would like this service. So I asked for daily clean (they did offer it on request) and then they more or less did, but I still had to remind them and they did not make the beds.
Then on the day before our check out, our room key was disabled by the receptionist and our bins were overfull. They didnt even come to our room. Still dont have a clear answer on that.
So yes book this hotel if you want a nice basecamp for your peleponesse trip. Nit dont expect a resort or even a hote. Gialova is amazing for restaurants, Pilos is nice for boat rentals and Westin is close for upperclass dinners:-)
Staff overall is friendly! They have the perfect setting to make this is a 5 star review, they are just not there yet!

A huge thank you to Voula, Zoe and her brother and all the amazing staff at the Zoe hotel! We have just returned to the UK having spent 8 days there. All the staff, reception, catering waiting and chamber maids so delightful and nothing was too much trouble for them! It is an incredibly beautiful setting with so much going on around it. We loved the breakfast area eating under a canopy of lush vegetation every morning, the food is cooked so beautifully and most of what they provide comes from their own garden 🪴. The rooms are beautifully appointed and we had a sea view too. We so much look forward to returning again. We thank you all! Regards Stephen and family xxx
