My wife and I booked MV through her mother for a the week of the Christmas holiday. I have to be honest, when we arrived on Dec. 22nd, I was concerned. We stayed in room 10, and it was very small. If you are looking for larger room, you might want to inquire. Also, I noticed that there are rooms with multiple bunk beds for larger groups. First and foremost, we ended having a great experience. I will share with you our concerns now: the MV resort is right next to the rock quarry at Camp #1, it is noisy during work hours; there is a genuine lack of security during peak pool hours, people come and go; both the small and large pools are constantly cloudy; and, there is a very noisy (music) neighbor outside the compound. Now for all the good stuff. The staff is amazing. The office managers, Angilia and Eumie are incredible. My wife and I travel a lot, and I have yet to meet two harder working hotel staff. We ate breakfast every morning: longanisa or tocino with eggs and rice. It was really good. The chef made us some special sides on Christmas day and my birthday, the 26th. OK, now for the big day. My birthday was the 26th. The girls scheduled the entire event for us. We had a crowd of 16. The poolside cabanas are perfect for 15-20 people. They have BBQ pits ready to go. We ordered from the resort and had a great afternoon. Like I said, we were there over Christmas--so the place was packed everyday. On Christmas day and the 26th, the pool areas were packed, but it was fun and everyone in our group had a great time. We checked out on the 27th. Our checkout did not go well. Please note this: They do not accept credit cards. And, here is the real kicker, they would not accept US dollars. By the end of the week, we were low on cash, so we had to go into town to get cash. The ATM machines were all down. So we had to go all the way to Agoo to get cash. I don't want to remember Mountain View based upon the check out situation. To the owner: get the credit card situation worked out. In the end, it was great for our afternoon swimming and BBQs
