Second time we stay here. It is the beach resort in PRico. Better than some of the 5 star ones, because of its setting, its beauty, its middle class appeal. Great, but unpretentious. Great for families. However, to keep up its excellence, the manager here needs to wake up and get to work. We arrived and the second big pool was being refurbished. NO previous warning of that. It should be operational in late June. Now, another issue was the locks on our garden view room on ground floor, as you go out that door, you never know if it is going to close automatically or if you can actually close it and then come back and enter through that door.. Very confusing and dysfunctional. We were locked out twice. Front desk told us it happens all the time. MANAGER: PAY ATTENTION, PLEASE FIX THIS. Then one day there was a family in the main pool that were behaving uncivilly and improperly. Three adults were smoking on the pool, one had loud music blasting from a speaker, and they had ordered winds and food from outside the home. This was for me absolutely unacceptable and we called the Front Desk, and they said they would send security , but these things don't have to happen. The Palmas Cafe was excellent and reasonably priced. They had kids money night and that was great.

This hotel on the south coast of Puerto Rico is a relaxing and enjoyable retreat. The natural ambiance of the beach, bay, and landscaping is very nice. The hotel is in good condition, and tastefully decorated. The food was delicious, and the whole food and beverage team were excellent. Each dish was well-prepared, the waiters were attentive, and the manager was a wonderful host. I would like to especially thank Michael Miranda, for making us feel so welcomed throughout our stay, and making sure that our service was perfect. Our group of 30+ guests thoroughly enjoyed our Mother's Day Family Reunion, and we will definitely plan future gathering in the same fabulous resort. Thank you!

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The grounds are amazing. Just to lay in a hammock and enjoy the sun was breathtaking. The first night in the room was not what I expected having been on the grounds and loving it’s so much. The air conditioner was like a plane was landing in my room every night. I notified the front desk and they told me someone would come to repair it. The next night it was the same I finally wrapped myself up and slept in the hammock. The grounds are so beautiful I tried to just enjoy the amenities. We went to dinner at the restaurant and it was definitely not the best food I have ever eaten. We had a small I counter with the wait staff but I called and the manger mr. Miranda invited us to a full breakfast in the hotel. It was delicious and the manager was very helpful. I explained I slept outside and the hotel refunded one night stay. The hotel is worth the visit and the staff are super friendly. I hope more people go to visit this wonderful resort.

My fiancé and I stayed here for about 5 days. It was overall a wonderful experience! Nothing is perfect though so I will start with the cons. The room was not as nice as it looks in the picture but I really didn’t have any complaints and frankly I didn’t spent much time in there anyway. We had a ground level room just steps from the beach, which was awesome, but there were big windows that allowed you to see right into our room at night even with the shades down. There were only a few places to smoke, either way out by the road or on this bench at the far end of the beach. The main pool and hot tub were closed for renovations and we were not told this until we got there. The food at La Palma and the upscale Alexandra was hit or miss. If you are staying for more than a couple days, I would recommend buying the meal plan because it will save you money in the long run. We had a small issue at the spa the second day when my masseuse didn’t have enough time to finish the Reflexology treatment and my fiancé’s mani/pedi took over 2 hours. The woman at the front desk, Olga, was super friendly, understanding, and accommodating though and even gave me a complimentary glass of champagne for making me wait. I am being pretty critical though, overall is was a great experience. The second time we went to the spa, my fiancé and I were delighted with some incredible treatments. We both did the vischy shower (I may not be spelling that right) and it was one of the most pleasurable experiences I’ve ever had at a spa. The steam room and shower area is great for unwinding on your own. The we had an outdoor couples massage in a gazebo on the beach which was magical. I don’t remember my masseuse’s name but she was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced. After that spa day I felt like a new person! We had a beautiful dinner at a table set up on the beach just feet away from the ocean. Our server, Robert, was very nice and helpful. He even recommended we get the ginger ice cream with our opera cake desert and it was stellar! He snagged the last branzino for me and my fiancé got the ribeye. This was easily the best meal we had the whole time. So good! We also ate at the upscale restaurant only open for dinner on some nights. The portion sizes are HUGE but thankfully everything I had was pretty tasty. The ossobuco could feed a family of 3 and the pasta as well. I wish they had public microwaves available so I could reheat it afterwards, but oh well. The dessert at this resort was very impressive. The peach bombe we had was light and delicious. Our server, Bridgette, did a great job. She was friendly and courteous. Really, the whole staff here is wonderful. Kevin was our server a few times throughout our stay and he was so friendly and helpful! Luis ran the breakfast buffet and was a delight to see in the morning with his infectiously upbeat attitude! We spoke with Micheal who I believe was a manager and he was very friendly and welcoming. There were some lovey ladies at the front desk that were happy to help with anything you need. I don’t remember all their names but one kind woman went out of her way to find us ping pong paddles after the regular hours to play, one helped my find my keys on our last day and she was really helpful when I asked about our bill. The scenery here is amazing. Landscaping is done well and overall the whole place is kept clean. Although one pool was closed I never really felt cramped. I thought they took excellent COVID measures with masks required, regular temperature checks, and clean facilities. I could go on but all you need to know is that this place may not be the fanciest resort on the island but you absolutely get what you pay for and then some with scenic views, friendly staff, great amenities, and it’s also tucked away on the south side of the island so it’s great if you’re looking to really get away, detach, and enjoy a little slice of paradise. We will be returning some day.

Just only one pool and dirty, the second was closed. The restaurant does not follow the COVID prevention six feet distance. All the great stuff and the breakfast buffet its only from Thursday to sunday. You cannot smoke in any part of the hotel even when they have ashtray and didn't tell you before the reservation. The room was dirty and the fridge not function well.
