recommended by a friend of a friend and would book again when I return to Coron! The staff are all helpful esp to first time Coron visitors like me. They helped us out in booking tours, airport transpos and other stuff making the whole experience nice and pleasant. it is also close to famous restos and where you can easily get food delivered too. We didnt need to worry about things during our stay.. they helped us solve our top concern which in maximizing our stay in Coron. Our room was clean, safe and was really good for the price.
Lovely hostel with amazing friendly staff and there are so cute ginger cats here. The staff helped me with my laundry and also drove me to the very centrum... for free! Such amazing hospitality! clean rooms! Would def come again!
We stayed at room number 1 which is in front of reception desk. It was insanely loud because of the kid that was screaming, dropping stuff, crying etc right behind our doors whole days. There wasn't one night/day we rested because of all the noise. The worst part is that the weather was awful, raining all day, so we had to stay at the 'hotel' and listen to all shouting driving us crazy. The AC in the room is the oldest and loudest we've seen, but it worked at least. Lots of insects, also probably more because of the rain. The place is located quite far from the main road, on the hill, and again the rain made everything worse cause it was hard to get to the hotel without dipping your feet in the water. Also dirty towels. Overall - pretty bad experience. One extra star for nice sheets and cute cats around that are the biggest entertainment there…
Unfortunatly I have to do a bad reference for this hotel because they stolen my ipad mini. The one who cleaned the room apparently didn't see it and it was under the pillow. I came 3 times to speak with the owner who really wanted to help us and let us see the camera recorded but nothing was recorded since 2 months. But everything she could say was "if my cleaner find something they give it to me" I also spoke with to the owner of my other hotel who said to me " its realy bad, they must learn the cleaners to not steal stuff because its happen often"
Jims is located a little farther from the road but is very much accessible. Soon as we arrived, Ms. Elaine welcomed us (we miss Kiel already!!!) The fan room that we rented is spacious and clean - enough for my bestfriend and me. It is located on the second floor, and since Jims is in an elevated area, we have generous supply of fresh air! Their breakfast (starting at around Php 120) is delicious! You can also ask them for tour packages. Highly recommended! It's like home away from home. Great for backpackers!
If you are looking for a place just to leave your belongings and to sleep in because you have your island tours for the whole day, this is the place to be. We got this room for 4 in agoda for like 500php per night and we got ourselves a nice room already with aircon, bed with comforter and towels. Problem we encountered is there is no supply of water when we checked in. It took them almost 15mins to fix it. Their breakfast is "ok". For the price of 120php, you have your silog meals already and coffee. They were just a little late on serving it. We ordered it the night before to be served at 730am because we have our island tour at 8am. It was served 755am. Wifi is available when you get outside of your room and stayed near their lobby. Nonetheless, our stay here was still good. Not really bad for the price we got. I recommend this for those travelers who are in tight budget but still gets what they paid for.…
The room is really clean and comfortable. Rooms are like those you see on photos. With white beddings, comforter, and pillows. The airconditioning unit works perfectly. The room does not smell old at all. It looks maintained. The cleanliness will help you sleep with ease. Hot and cold shower works perfectly as well. Free water is provided. They have a refrigerator outside of the room which you can use. Beverages are also available. They can provide breakfast for a fee unless it was included in your package. The staffs are helpful and courteous too. The place is not strategically located so you need to ride a tricycle to go to the market and other stores to buy your necessities. You need to walk/climb a little to go to the inn too. Because of its location, it is more quiet and peaceful unless other visitors would be too noisy to shout and chat out loud. Overall, I highly recommend this place because of the comfort it brings considering its price. …
When we came they didnt have our reservation and no available room for 4 nights and told us maybe to look for another hostel. after an hour they found us a room. While the stay 3 more groups had the same thing and looked for other place to sleep. They dont clean the shared toilets. We woke up at 7am because there was no electricety and no water in the shower and toilets. They told us it is the same in all of coron (we checked and its not!) No trash cans in the rooms and toilets only small one outside The door lock doesnt work well. Finely you should add 15% service ontop the order price
Everything was good! Nice rooms with fan/AC and wifi was fast near the reception. The room was clean and perfect, stayed for 4 nights in both fan and AC room. Very friendly and helpful staff, see you next time!
We had low expectations given the cost of Jim’s Castle but had hoped we would be wrong. We needed one nights accommodation in Coron before our Tao Expedition and found it hard to find somewhere mid range, so we ended taking a chance on Jims Castle. We didn’t like how the hotel was tucked away down a random path. It wasn’t the safest we have felt on our travels. The room it self was strange and what looked liked used to a be a kitchen with cabinets and a sink. It was also extremely warm and whilst a fan was provided it was loud. The shared bathroom (containing toilet and shower) was tiny and not very nice. Only stay here as a last resort.
