Detailed Reviews
After several out of town trips without my eldest son, we are now back to a travelling family of 5.
The room is basic with fan BUT very clean. It is just too hot especially on summer months (April 2018), but that is just what you paid for.
Shared toilets but always clean.
Affordable Inihaw Meals bought in the town plaza can be eaten here because you can borrow utensils from them.
Staff is very accommodating and helpful. Walking distance to the town proper

Cozy guesthouse away from the noisy streets. Lovely personal, nothing is trouble. Little rooms, cold water, thin walls, very cheap. Perfect for a short stay. Week wifi, everything is walking distance.

Guesthouse is good for several days staying. Very small but comfortable rooms with fans. Cozy inner courtyard with hummocks. Didn't see cockroaches or ants. Unfortunately, no kitchen, free drinking water and toilet seats. Sometimes wi fi was poor but often enough to watch video.

We stayed here for 6 nights while in Coron. It is just off of the Main Street in so good for easy access to restaurants and bars. The staff and helpful, they allowed us to use their computer and printer when we needed it urgently and booked us an airport transfer. The outdoor communal area had a hut and hammocks to chill on which is pleasant.
These qualities we feel makes it passable for budget accommodation however we wouldn’t describe our stay as comfortable. Our room was tiny and had no window which wasn’t pleasant and meant very poor ventilation. We had a fan but it just seemed to blow the musty/ damp air around the room which caused both my partner and I to get sore throats. The walls of the rooms are also made of wicker meaning everything that your neighbours do you can hear. There are posters up saying no noise after 10pm but this didn’t stop people coming home at 3am shouting to their friends through the walls. It was hard to sleep and though there is a night watch the rule is not enforced. On one night another guest got very angry at the people making noise and it caused some aggression.
The bathrooms are communal and we have used a lot of these throughout our time travelling however there are 4 bathrooms and none of the toilets have a seat and only 1 toilet has a flush. This meant everyone wanted to use this bathroom and it made it quite smelly as I don’t believe they are cleaned regularly. We never witnessed anyone cleaning it although this could be done at night. The showers are cold water only and very weak pressure which isn’t too bad after a day in the heat but worth knowing.
Lastly, though they have WiFi it is extremely weak and doesn’t work even in reception where the box seems to be placed. We had to go to local cafes to check into flights and book our next accommodation.
We appreciate that it is budget accommodation but we have stayed in many similar priced places while travelling that has been miles better. Therefore we would not recommend this guesthouse.

This guest house is perfect for the budget back packer and anyone who doesn't mind having a terrible sleep.
We stayed just one night and it was enough.
Pros:
- Location was good.
The grounds were clean with hammocks and an outdoor patio.
- The staff here were very friendly, they offered many tours and helped with organisation.
- The shared bathrooms were cleaned.
- The cost was very cheap.
Cons:
-Although not entirely the hotels fault, the heat was unbearable to sleep. They have one fan in the room but it is not at all sufficient for the stuffiness off the room.
- The walls are made of bamboo, which means you can hear EVERYTHING going on in your next door neighbours room. It felt like we were having a conversation with them all night. Very very un pleasant.

Good location, in the centre of coron town in the cleanest part, because in the other side of the street the houses are located above the sea. Good room. 4 shared toilets with shower. Good leisure area outside. Friendly staff, they can arrange island hopping, laundry, bus and boat tickets for a fair price. Would stay again for sure.

Loved our stay here. During rainy season it was the only hostel in Coron we found with lots of people around, and the hostel itself is fantastic. Plenty of communal space with hammocks and a nice seating area, lots of toilets/showers, and a fantastic price. Above all, the owners here are so friendly, and are really helpful in booking tours and airport transfers too.

i used my trike driver and ventured into a few places in town just to check out the locations and options. Usually when diving i try to have a place where im sure i will get a good night sleep. i must say i have seen a few places with great web sites but the reality is far away from that appealing. Guapos was the place i prebooked online and i also ended up going there... i should have followed my instincts right away;-) the staff is very helpful and so warm hearted. if you prefer a quieter room then choose one in the area across the open living space, away from the reception. although those rooms dont have windows and are smaller then the ones by the reception;-) this place though has been in general nice and tranquil during my stay. "comfort rooms" as they call them in the philippines have been nicely maintained clean and functional. and they are spacious!! :)) short distance walking you find a great dive center Rocksteady and a few great veg restaurants, which aint that easy to find in the philippines.

Stayed for 5 night at the Guapos after I left a different hostel.
The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The communal bathroom/shower are clean and they are getting cleaned up few times a day.
The staff is very helpful and nice, they have helped me book tours and rides to wherever I needed to.
In the patio their is hammocks and a relax hut.
Over all I enjoyed!

great service (allowed us to leave our luggage before the room was ready+organised the airport van the day after), spacious patio with 2 hammocks and lounge area to hang out, 4 clean bathrooms with toilet, respectful guests, rooms with a good fan (unfortunately very thin walls like in most hostels)
