the owner of the lodge cant even wait for you to check out to get your payment.. all hotels around the world we explained to them that payment is made when you check out but the old chinnese couple they cant wait to get to their hands your payment even you intend to stay a little bit more... they are too stingy when it comes to your payment/money and when we told them that they just replied "we dont care"...
it seemed they entered a business where they dont know how to satisfy costumers, they dont have toiletries.. no tissue, no soap, their shower dont work, no hot and cold...in the end you find yourself pitying the old couple because all they seem to care is money...

I am very meticulous when it comes to hotel bathrooms. I have to ensure that the bathroom will not be shared by anyone. I booked this hotel because of it but to my surprise when I called the hotel, I was informed that the room I booked does not include a private bathroom and if I wanted one, I should pay additional fees for it per night. I was really disappointed because I am sure that it was clearly stated on the Online Travel Agency Engine that I booked a room with a private bathroom. I just brushed off this small concern that I have and decided to pay for it so as not to ruin our vacation.

On the other hand, the receptionist were kind enough to assist us with the tour and tricycle going there. The food was below average since it should be ordered the night before and when you wake up in the morning, it is ready. So the food is already not in its supposed temperature before you eat.

All in all, the stay was good. You tend to forget all your worries because of the tour.

This is a very clean hotel located outside the town centre but with in walking distance to every amenity in Coron. They did however not provide daily cleaning service and you had the breakfast option but it was a pre prepared cold breakfast of rice and egg. There was little going on do it's just a good out of the way option closed to the centre.

The surrounding is simple and the ambience is relaxing. The owner is kind and helpful, they are pleasant to help you with things that you need to know with the local trips. The room rate is acceptable.

Diamond lodge is a good alternative in Coron. Just a few blocks away from the noisy streets. Room was very clean with all you need. Nice view from its rooftop terrace and friendly staff.

I heard they have a dorm for the low budget travellers.

The hotel location was not that far from the main town. You could just walk around since this is not much of a big town. Our room was how it was in the photo posted. Was clean and AC was good. The bed was not really that good. I think it was not that durable and made out of old wood. WIFI in this hotel is surely NOT GOOD. In our entire stay we were not able to connect to it. At first, they gave us the wrong password then when were given the correct one it says no internet and they won't restart it. TV was OK and has cable. Breakfast was OK. Some hotel staff weren't that helpful. You won't be able to find them in the front desk when you need something and there was also a time when our breakfast was served late and they didn't serve us coffee which was suppose to be included in the package. And when we checked in to the hotel it took time before they were able to find my reservation because I think they did not read the voucher and she (the lady who helped us) even called her colleague for help (which was not helpful too) so I had to tell them the info and that was when we were able to go to our room.

We booked the "Extra Deluxe" room which had nothing "extra" end even less "deluxe" for about 4 times the price it's worth. One queen size bed and a single bed, one meter separating them. No cabinet, but one table, all squeezed in about 12 square meters. No amenities in the bathroom, no cleaning of the room, no housekeeping. At the end of the stay we found out that they would have changed our linen "if you would have asked"... Breakfast is just terrible, poor choices, tasteless. Staff was nice and that's the only positive of our stay.

The only way I could describe this hotel is "a sad hotel" the staff are helpful but lack a smile, the rooms are cramped with no place to put your cloths. We ended up leaving them in the case. Breakfast was poor made hours before and wrapped in cling film waiting on your table.
For a back packer ok for basic living but but not for a holiday vacation accommodation.
3 words Basic Simple Lonely.

If you are looking for luxury...this isn't the right hotel but if you are looking for the bare essential then this is for you. A very, very simple lodge with staff that are as laidback as the little town of Coron..although there was an issue with the shower knob not working properly we managed to get by with using the "tabo and baldeh" to have a shower. Very simple no frills hotel. But it does the job...
