Stayed here for 3 nights. Rooms are very reasonably priced and clean and comfy. Pool is nice. Staff is excellent. Breakfast is delicious. Only complaint is that it is sometimes noisy, depending on the room.
There was no construction going on when I was there last week and no sign of pending construction. The main area of town is easily walkable, guessing under ten minutes walk, or ten pesos per person for the trike ride.
