Good location (Center of Coron town) , the place is so accessible to restaurant, bars, coffee shop, souvenir shops, atm, port and overlooking at Coron bay. Very accommodating staff. helpful and approachable Ms. Grace Divina. The room is clean, tidy and spacious, WI-FI only worked at the lobby, but not an issue for us. They also serve very good breakfast.

We’re very happy and satisfied on our 3 nights and 4 days stay at One Averee Hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would come back. Thank you and God Bless.

Let's start:

One Averee Hotel will pick you up at the airport for P150/person. You won't regret this as there is no other means of transpo to getting to Coron Town. THe trip is around 30 minutes at 40/kph on an otherwise very nicely paved concrete road... because our driver is selling us island tour packages, it took more than an hour. the greenery around the airport is worth the trip, though.

Checking in took some time bec front desk refused to give us our preferred rooms (a family suite room with 2baths), she refused to smile and never made eye contact nor tried to make us feel welcome. Her face showed that there is a problem in our booking because (i found out later) they sold our supposed rooms to some foreigners. Not really a problem, but they could have just been polite in saying so. Sensing that I won't solve their problems by paying more money, they instead offered us 2 premium rooms, instead for a lesser cost. Check in took more than 30 minutes. The owner of the hotel was there to save the day.

Inside the room, walls are painted dark green. cabinets are painted chocolate brown which makes it somewhat dark inside. There are no queen-sized beds in the lower floor of the property, what they will do is merge the beds together. But the beds are soft and comfortable. the sheets are clean, white and crisp. they used "hotel standard" duvet covers.

The bathroom is new and clean. fixtures are great. there is a retractable clothesline which is great for drying out wet swimsuits and towels. shower is working well but tends to leak from the main hose attachment.

there is a big flat screen tv with a working cable channel. no wifi inside the room, though.and there is a cute lounge area in every floor.

they used a split type aircon unit, so the room is completely quiet. there are no bedside lamps.

breakfast is fine and is pre-arranged, but don't ask for anything too fancy. i love their orange juice, though on the last day, they ran out of stock and made me drink iced tea instead

use the safe room to hold your valuables.

they have a credit card facility. try to settle bills prior to departure.

the location is near the "pier" and wet market. there are local eateries just outside the hotel. there is "shack" 20 steps away from the hotel, serving ice cold beer and free beef-shank soup." try it.

Stayed 6 nights in Averee Bay for dive vacation. Location made it an easy walk to the Rock Steady dive boats and other dive boats. Hotel is also in great location in Coron Town. Close to restaurants. Staff was friendly and attentive. They arranged my last breakfast as a take out as my shuttle to the airport was before the usual 6 AM start for breakfast time. There is no daily make room service which was OK with me. It means no one was messing with my stuff while I was diving the Coron wrecks. There is no elavator in the 4 story building. Also only WIFI in the lobby. It'seems best to get a room away from the street. This is the Philippines, so there are motorbikes and tricycles running almost 24 hours in any city. No place to dry your dive gear, but Rock Steady dive shop took care of that for me.
I will stay here again when I return to dive the WWII wrecks.

Hot water and good water pressure? YES! This hotel is spotless too and although you’re close to town, it is a quiet building. The only downfall is the free WiFi is only in the lobby and breakfast eating area. The staff is absolutely outstanding and Grace, the lobby desk attendant, can help you with just about everything…laundry, arranging airport transfer, sightseeing advice!
The breakfast was simple but delicious!

As a precaution for all future guests of this hotel. Beware of this hotel. We stayed for a few days in this hotel and someone stole our money inside the hotel room. We reported it to the owner and also to the police but, they have not resolved the case as to who stole our money. The owner gave us a 50% discount on the room accommodation but that didn't cover even half of the amount of money that was stolen. For the discount that they gave, they let us sign a waiver that they are not responsible for theft. They have CCTV installed but that didn't help either, since during that time the CCTV didn't work and was not able to record the video.

Response from Edgardo E, Public Relations Manager at One Averee Bay Hotel
Responded Jul 23, 2015
Thank you for leaving us your feedback. We are really very sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with your experience with us and to find that some money has gone missing. We have never previously had any incident as your one and this is an isolated incident. We have done a thorough internal check to find out what has happened to your missing money and are distraught that we could not find any evidence of what happened to it. Rest assured that we wanted to find out and resolve this incident as much as you did. To our disappointment, the police officer that investigated the incident could not find any evidence linking anybody from the hotel was responsible for your missing money. We take our reputation very seriously especially honestly of our staff who are carefully vetted with backgrounds checks. After this incident happening we are now looking into installing safety deposit boxes to avoid any such future disputes like this happening in our hotel. We will also be updating the CCTV system. As a goodwill gesture from our hotel, we gave you the 50% discount to try and help you with your situation while on holiday, as it was not resolved. We are very sorry that neither the officer or ourselves could find out what happened to your missing money and we can only apologise again that this happened to you on your holiday. Once again let me thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback Regards Ed Endrino

You get what you pay for in terms of amenities - it's pretty bare bones with beds, lots of cabinetry and TV. It's not a five-star hotel but it's brand new and one of the nicest in Coron town. Location-wise, it's walking distance to all points of interest - from restaurants (front desk will give you recommendations, even hail a tricycle for you), harbor (amazing sunsets!), souvenir shopping, etc. It's also a tricycle ride away from the hot springs (300-350p). Air-conditioning and water heater functioned efficiently as expected. Wifi was spotty & only accessible in the lobby. They are currently in the process of upgrading their wifi services this year according to the front desk staff. I hope they follow through with that promise. Our booking, which was done via Agoda.com, included breakfast. You get to choose either a traditional Filipino entree or a western breakfast each morning, with unlimited coffee & of course impeccable filipino hospitality. In fact, the highlight of our Coron stay, aside from the pristine lakes and lush islands of the nearby isles, was the staff in this hotel. They will go out of their way to ensure that their guests are well taken care of. Case in point, I forgot my flipflops in a spa 20-minute walking distance away. Instead of letting me go back in the pouring rain to get them, the owner/staff insisted that they have one of their staff get it for me. They even refused for me to pay for the staff's tricycle ride. That's your quintessential Filipino service-oriented hospitality at its finest. Thank you again One Averee!

(Hope the wi-fi & credit card machines are already operation when we visit again!)

Stayed here for 4 days with my boyfriend and friends.

The staff were very accommodating and friendly. They helped my boyfriend set up everything for his proposal to me at Kayangan Lake. They took care of everything and it was just perfect.

The rooms are spacious and the beds are just awesome!

The food was superb! We didn't bother going out anymore because the food that they offer is just amazing!

The port area for Island hopping are just a walking distance. Everything else you need is by walking distance.

I really recommend this hotel. And would definitely go back and stay here :)

Great location, less than a minute walking to many of the boat tour organizers, boat piers and restaurants. Off the main street where all the traffic is. Very clean, the hotel is the nicest concrete structure downtown Coron. Lots of space to organize things in the room and 2 separate dressers for hanging clothes. Room also has a safe. All rooms have a small table for drinks etc, and 2 chairs. Bathroom has a separate shower. Air conditioning with remote works very well, cools room in 2 minutes. Breakfast service is fast and good and free ! They also organize airport pickup!! We didn't know that and started looking around as we got out of the airport... and found our names written on a white board in front of a van! Which was great otherwise there would not be a van service available... Wifi only works in lobby, but we didn't care.

I stayed at the One Averee during March of 2015. I wasn't planning on staying here during my dive visit to Coron but my previous hotel had made a mistake and I needed to find a hotel fast at 10PM. They were welcoming and warm from the beginning and I realised that the mistake of my previous hotel was a blessing.
The Averee is a newly renovated hotel situated with a harbour view and next to the commercial/restaurant area of Coron. This is important as many of the other western style resorts are situated out of town and require a tricycle ride to get the restaurants in Coron. My new room was perfect with a view of the harbour and the expected western style amenties. Everything was clean and well maintaned.
The real gem of the Averee is the staff. They were amazingly warm, friendly and professional. And the breakfast was hearty with a lot of fresh mango! Good way to start a dive day. This is an amazing Hotel with a bright future.

We arrived at about 5pm, check in was a big problem, it seemed to take a very long time partly due to the fact the receptionist was dealing with many other people at the same time, eventually after completing the paperwork she told us to wait. Wait we did, what for? Well they were checking the rooms. The whole thing took 30 mins. We were told the wifi was not very good but they were going to fix it, when? It was useless. So was the phone signal, none due to the room being completely encased with the building. The windows in the rooms had been blocked up as next door there was a large building being erected within inches. Yes it was noisy. The beds were small and hard. The shower had the electrical connection within the cubicle, a very dangerous hazard. There are no room safes, no refrigerators, no kettles. If you want the room cleaned you have to be in the room, quite difficult if you have gone out for the day as when you return the cleaners have gone home. Breakfast is buffet style, horrible cold fried eggs, pink processed sausages, stodgy cheap rice, powdered sweet fruit juice all definitely worth a miss. Hotels of this low standard should be half the price. On reading other reviews it appears the theft of guests property is common and I guess that is why you have to be in the room when it is cleaned, easy solution, install room safes, problem gone away but maybe the owners don'y want to spend the money like they could by making the wifi work. Give it a miss and until they wake up and get their act together. On the positive side it is right bang in the middle of town.
