We were unable to book this resort for 5 days. As the reviews were generally good, we decided to stay at the Westown Lagoon, the supposedly poorer sibling located just opposite for 3 days before moving over to Lagoon for 2 days at the premium room.
We should have stayed put at Lagoon as the stay at Resort was less than desirable. We only like the pool area and the spacious 48m premium room.
Absolutely hated the wifi, which was literally non-existent. Forget this place if you want to chill, watch Netflix/Youtube, etc or watch the stock market. The internet was also down at certain hours.
Do not stay at room 314 or any rooms next to the construction site. Drilling work starts as early as 7.30am and it was still ongoing till near mid-night.
Breakfast spread was ok but limited. They should have more international dishes and have variations. The local food is also very salty and sweet. That said, we love the meatball with vermicelli soup and daily salad. Add some hot water to the soup if salty.
The pool is very well-managed with different age sections including an average jacuzzi. Good for photoshoots, families and kids.
There are nightly live bands from 7.30pm to spice up dinner service. That said we do not find dinner special. The band was also average. The bartenders also seem inexperienced compared to their peers across the road. They can’t make a frozen daiquiri and when asked to redo, they thought it was already frozen and we had to go through the process which is a bummer.
Other than the pool and spaciousness of the premium room, there is nothing special about this place. Obviously, it needs to improve to live up to the reviews.

Hi, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We deeply value your feedback and are committed to continuously improving our services. We understand that maintaining a stable WiFi connection on Coron Island can be challenging due to its remote location. While we strive to provide fast and reliable internet, there are times when external factors impact the signal quality. We appreciate your understanding and patience in this matter. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the construction noise. We are currently working on a new building to enhance our facilities and improve the overall guest experience. We ask for your consideration during this temporary period of development. Your suggestion to add more variety to our food options is greatly appreciated. We will definitely take this into account as we continue to refine our menu offerings. Thank you once again for your valuable feedback. We look forward to serving you better on your next visit. Sincerely, CWR Management

My boyfriend and I stayed in this resort last March 2023, and we were very satisfied during our stay. After booking one of their deluxe room for two nights only, I've decided to book one night extension just so we could experience one of their premium rooms also. It was his first time flying to Coron because I've been here ever since for work purposes. Upon check-in, I was informed that we were upgraded to their premium room and that made us both so happy! I didn't ask for it, but they were so kind to give us the upgrade. The room was super nice and spacious. I loved the view of the sunset from our balcony! They even granted one of my request to put a slice of chocolate cake in the room because my boyfriend didn't get the chance to celebrate his birthday a few months ago. Staff were busy in the morning. Housekeeping also cleaned our room well and refilled everything from bottled water to bathroom amenities and towels. The location was convenient for us as it's along the main road, and we got ourselves a car rental during our stay so we can go out and come back anytime we want. Their swimming pool is huge! I don't know, but it felt huge because we were running and swimming from one pool to another like kids during our second night at the resort :D. What caught my boyfriend's attention was the Cockatoo by the entrance. We'd always stop by to say hello to the little fella. Overall it was a nice experience for us. See you next time!

While it may have some years behind it, the property is well-maintained and spotless. It boasts three spacious swimming pools and offers evening entertainment with live music at the bar. Our room was upgraded to provide a delightful view of both the sunrise and sunset, overlooking the facilities. The airport is conveniently reachable within a 25-35 minute drive, and the center of Coron, Palawan, is just a short 10-15 minute ride away. Additionally, they offer a shuttle service to and from the resort for a mere 250 pesos per person. To kickstart your day, there's a breakfast buffet available from 6 am to 10 am.

We stayed for 4 nights and 5 days, I must say, all of my family really enjoyed our stay. Aside from the fact that rooms are quite old as you can smell the wood and some tiles in the bathroom are stained, still it was very comfortable and they regularly clean the room.
The location is quite far from town and you have to ride a tricycle every time, but the palaweños were very kind and did not took advantage of tourists, kababayan.
The staff are also very friendly and accommodating, they have responded and assisted with all our queries and requests.
The breakfast buffet was superb with a wide variety of food to choose from.
We will definitely book again and I highly recommend this hotel!

Although our pre-arrival experience wasn't great, it was hard to reach their contact number on their website, which was frustrating. We called multiple times, but no one answered. Surprisingly, if you message them through their messenger, they are responsive.
Once we arrived, however, we had a fantastic experience. The property is beautiful, with well-presented amenities, and the rooms were fantastic. There were a variety of great options for food and beverages, and the buffet breakfast was also excellent. The location was perfect—peaceful and away from the bustling noise of Coron Town. Additionally, the service was outstanding. All the staff we encountered were friendly, attentive, and professional.
Suggestions: It would be great if facial tissues and slippers could be provided in the rooms, as I believe these are essential items for guest comfort. Additionally, when guests provide feedback at check-out, it would be helpful if the staff could acknowledge and address it directly, especially regarding issues in the room that need attention.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience, and we would love to return in the future. Your pools are beautiful, and we truly appreciated the relaxing atmosphere.

Me and my family stayed here last october, the HK team and Rooms Control were kind enough to set up the room for our Anniversary , the FD staff who checked us in was really kind. There were 2 FD agent who accommodated us, the first one was in the morning. She was kind enough to fulfill our request to allocate the rooms near each other. Then the 2nd FD agent who assisted us in giving our keys. When we came back from the trip. Kudos to the HK team who gave an effort to set up a surprise for us in the room for celebrating our Anniversary.
The location of the hotel is a lil bit far from the town
We've also encountered some problem in the room such us the Refrigerator not cooling at all, we had to call them to have it checked, and their response time was quick, however I think they might have forgot about us for an hour because the Ref was not replaced for almost an hour and we had to call the 2nd time. The problem were solve because they were able to replace the ref the same day.
The air-condition in the room is not that cool and too noisy.
The internet connection is not that stable.
But, overall the stay was nice, the FD staff seemed very welcoming and the service is also good.

We booked here for 4 days to finish off our holiday throughout the Philippines, we only lasted one night and burned on the rest of the non refundable nights we paid for.
Firstly, as we should have known from the previous reviews the room had a foul smell on arrival. It was practically unbearable and we advised reception where they showed us another room and it had the same smell. We asked for an air humidifier after leaving our doors and windows open to no avail. On 3 occasions of asking they still never told us that it wouldn't be available until tomorrow and also offered no apology.
Two pools downstairs were half empty, they saw no problem with this and said it's open, but the hot weather has evaporated it.
They do only operate one elevator as pointed out in other reviews.
The bathroom had dirty mould and silicone. The ceramic shelf in the shower is almost falling off which is actually quite dangerous.
Housekeepings room is right next door to which we heard loud conversations and banging etc.
They also knocked on our door to male up the room at 8:30am.
Pool towels aren't to be taken out on tours and we learnt this by trying this not knowing of their policy, and by being asked to present ourselves to the front counter. We were made out to be theiving and told it's 100p per towel to take out. We asked if we could rent this towel and return at the end of the stay and they said no. It would be 100p per towel per day. Extremely flawed and stupid policy.
There is limited and slow free WiFi only in the lobby and no cellphone service in the rooms.
However in general after bringing some things to their attention and being visibly unhappy with our experience as far, they made no attempts to resolve anything and the front desk lady who I assume is the manager was smug about the entire early checkout process and offered absolutely no apology.
It is an absolute rarity for myself to put a negative review as I believe good service is enough to male the experience positive, but we we're so disappointed by the stay that an honest review of this resort was needed.

Overall we had a very nice experience at the Westown. The pool area was nice, the food was good and the cocktails very good. They gave us free waters at reception and organised trikes and an airport shuttle. Unfortunately the breakfast was often missing food and the staff there were not friendly or helpful like the other staff.

Due to a glitch in the resort's system, our family room was unavailable for the night and we were upgraded to 2 premium rooms which had a balcony overlooking the resorts pools and bar. These two rooms were nice - excellent view. However, the next day we were moved into room 216 our originally booked family room. We noticed immediately the musky smell of the room. The family rooms are spacious: one main room with 2 double beds and a connecting room with king bed. The room with the king bed is very dark, no other ventilation but the air con. Skirting boards also in bad shape. Holes and stains from the water on aircon also. This leads me to the biggest issue and the reason for my request to change. Both my daughter and I were raided by mosquitos in this room. I found myself spending a lot of time killing them. Showers are large, pressure of the water could be stronger, but you can still take a decent shower in them. I saw room 217 being cleaned the next day. After a quick inspection, I asked to be transferred which the staff helped with. Rooms equipped with open wardrobe, safe, tea and coffee making facilities and a 2nd bathroom (in family room) Room 217 had a dehumidifier which helped with the smell. All rooms come with basic toiletries - toothbrushes, bathgel, soap, showercaps, shampoo.
Buffet breakfast is pretty basic. Omlette station, waffle station, cereals, 4 to 5 hot food items to go with rice/toast, condiments, congee, soup, fruits. It would be nicer to see them replenish much quicker especially when hotel is at full capacity. Food is good enough to get you through the day.
Best thing I can say about this place is the customer service. The staff were very helpful. From front desk to the concierge. Pools were also nice, but my daughter got some scrathes from the little pool. We met some kids from Melbourne who had also experienced the same, but mentioned it had caused them to bleed. So this is something that needs to be addressed.
I would still recommend this hotel. Service was good and so were half the rooms we stayed in. The size of the rooms are pretty good. Location is only about 7 mins away from town proper via tricycle. Close enough to get to quickly and far enough from the hustle and bustle

This is a hotel that have seen its best days…. It is old. I had booked 3 rooms and the hotel recommended a room at the lowest floor. 2 of 3 rooms smelled so much of mold that I demanded room change of these two room.
Next I go to the bar and asked for some snack…. Canned mushrooms, cheese stick was recommended together with Calamari. The calamari was good…
Canned mushroom and cheese sticks, will not be ordered again!
