We stayed here over the Christmas period and everything was perfect. The location of the hotel is down a small dirt track with small local convenience huts nearby for the essentials.

Coron town is not too far away by walking where you will find lots of restaurants but this hotel also offers a menu throughout the day including a bar. The breakfast buffet was substantial with made to order items throughout the day.

The staff here were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, however the only criticism I have is the limited number of seats available at the pool.

Overall, a good hotel, which is in a quiet area yet close to the Coron Town for all tours etc.

We visited Coron last month for 5 days. "Herve", I believe the Hotel manage or owner was very helpful and patient with us in obtaining the S-Pass to enter Palawan. At the airport, I was told by several staff that the hotel was very nice. We were excited. As we arrived staff there were very cordial, offered cold drinks and a cool wet cloth to freshen up. Our deluxe room was on the 3rd floor, had a nice view of the sea on one side and the swimming pool on the other. The room had a refrigerator, a lot of closet space, safe and a great working AC. These were the things that mattered the most to me in a room. The restaurant on site was incredible. There was no need to really eat anywhere else. Everything we ordered we shared because all the dished were so good, not to mention the breakfast was included. The staff are the friendliest and possibly the best hosts I have been cared for. I would definitely come back and highly recommend staying at Corto del Mar.

Dear Burqueman505, Thank you for taking time to write us a wonderful review. It was such a pleasure to have you here and to talk to you from time to time. The Spass was a bit of a surprise for incoming guests but now it has been removed so getting to Coron is easier compared to before. Our deluxe room is our biggest basic room, which has a huge balcony. There is a small price difference compared to the entry room types so I do suggest for other guests to get this room instead. Again thank you very much for staying with us. I'm glad you got to do most of the things to be done here, and we certainly hope to welcome you back soon!

The hotel is gorgeous—with medditerranean-inspired interiors, wooden detailing, and some historical artifacts on display (great for history lovers!) There's also a lounge pool with a deep end and I believe the hotel can arrange diving lessons to those interested.

It is well-situated and right in the center of town, but peaceful and quiet at night. Everything you need is just a liesurely few minutes walk away—from cafés to restaurants and the city's flourishing night life scene. But if you prefer not to walk, you can ask any of their friendly staff to hail you a tricycle to your destination.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and ideal for
both couples and families alike. We were served a generous complimentary breakfast as well (the danggit is very good! you can also ask them to get you some ready to cook ones to take home)

Feel free to ask the managers or any of the staff for places to eat and things to see, or arrangements you'd like to make and they'll happily assist you. Everyone you'll meet in the hotel is super nice and very helpful :) In our two night stay, I got to learn more about the locals, the culture, and their experiences from the great managers as well as their staff (shout out to kuya Peter 😄 hehe)

Will definitely be back!!

Upon waking up, there was a huge cockroach crawling in the bathroom. I mentioned to the staff at the front desk, who said “is it still there?” And then “ok”. The staff member wasn’t surprised and offered no apology.

Seems this is potentially a common occurrence for them, and they are not willing to invest in new drain covers, insect treatments, etc to prevent- like any other 4* hotel would do.

I’ve done extensive travel across Southeast Asia, and while I have seen roaches in hotel rooms, never have I seen one in a room where I paid more than $50USD for. Paying $130 for a room where roaches are acceptable is just crazy.

This is a vastly overpriced hotel and definitely not worthy of your stay.

The hotel is situated in a quiet part of Coron town, yet within easy walking distance. Pool area is nice, and food was good. Rooms were comfortable, however things like lack of electrical sockets and lack of wifi in the room really depreciated the stay. As we only stayed 2 nights to off-gas before flying, not a big deal.

We stayed for 4 days in Corto and it made our Coron travel extra special. We even got to experience having the whole hotel for ourselves since the fear of lockdown pushed some tourist to postpone or cancel their flight sched. They also helped us in securing our S-Pass even if the sched was already tight. Sir Herve of Corto even offered us a free room upgrade on our arrival. The location is great; just a short walk from the well known Kalye Real where most of the bars and restos are located. The pool is big, the rooms were clean with good wifi, food is good, and the hotel interior and ambiance is beautiful and relaxing. Most importantly, the staff are very hospitable, friendly, and accommodating. We'll definitely book this hotel again once we go back to Coron. Thanks Corto!

I spent a couple of nights here while diving. It's a beautiful property, with amazing woodwork, conveniently right in the town of Coron. The room was comfortable. There was a small TV, and wifi worked well. Breakfast was included and was fine, as were several other meals I had there. Service was very good. The hotel apparently saves some rooms at higher prices on internet sites, even when they're saying locally that no rooms are available. It was a little confusing that the hotel arranged for a van ride from the airport that was dedicated to their hotel. On the way back, they arranged a ride that stopped at numerous hotels to fill every seat. You may wish to verify the arrangements more than I did!

A lovely Mediterranean themed hotel located in the centre of Coron close to everything but peaceful. All areas are nicely decorated, well kept and clean. The seating, bar and dining area overlook an inner courtyard with a lovely swimming pool.

The manager, Herve, was very proactive in helping us with all of the covid travel requirements before we arrived and booking boat tours for us. He also went to the ferry terminal before our arrival to get tickets for our onward travel to El Nido as he advised there were limited places available.

The receptionists, bar and all staff were genuinely hospitable, polite and helpful. They arranged collection from the airport and transport to the ferry terminal on departure, even gave us a packed breakfast as it was so early.

We would definitely stay there again.

We had 3 nights at the Corto del Mar situated in the heart of the main town and only a few minutes from the ferry and 30 mins to the airport. As many have already reported there are benefits of being the best hotel in town next to the locals, the shops and the restaurants but this is offset by the disadvantages of being the best hotel in town, next the locals, the shops and the restaurants. The rooms are decent and large, the food was ok and most of the staff seemed keen to help. There is a fabulous pool but the furniture and grounds need work and why don’t the bar staff be a bit more active in selling their product ? The hotel has a relationship with a couple of local boats that operate the day trips, ours was a disaster but hopefully they have improved by the time you arrive. Or pick one of the 100 others on offer outside the hotel and at a lower price. Enjoy……

Coron is a diving town. Corto Del Mar offered the highest quality of the mid range priced Hotels ($50/75 pn). Rooms are clean and comfortable. Showers good, Aircon works (!) & Staff are great. Breakfast is included and there is good choice & quality. Highly recommend!

The city of Coron does not have many sandy beaches, but there is a couple of small beaches that you can ride to pretty easily. We went to one called "Bali Beach" after we visited the hotsprings. If you go further there is also "Cabo Beach". Keep in mind though that there are STUNNING beaches to see on the boat tours. They are a little far but worth the trip.

We did checked in early, at around 10am, but it took a bit of negotiation. The staff were a bit hesitant at first. Just give it a try.
