This hotel is in the center of activities and close to everything. You can walk to the public market, shops, tour agencies and the pier in a few minutes. Very convenient location. We liked the free breakfast every morning. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 205, which is one of the courtyard rooms. Not noisy at night. Some rooms are by the street side. Might be a bit noisy. It's a very simple hotel but we didn't stay in the room during the day, and we just need a comfortable bed to sleep at night until morning we go out for island hopping every day. This hotel is just what we needed. We wet very happy staying there.

You will find many accommodations in Coron that's accessible and cheaper but good thing we chose to stay at this place for 5 days/4 nights. We availed of the Courtyard Queen room on the first night and transferred to the Penthouse room for the rest of our stay. We could not have been any happier. For what it cost, it's worth it. Each room comes with complimentary breakfast which we look forward to every morning. Our fave were tocilog, tapsilog and pancake w/ bacon and egg. Both Courtyard Queen and Penthouse room has AC, fan (in case of blackout), hot and cold shower, and flat screen TV plus fridge and coffee making set on the Penthouse room. We especially liked the Penthouse room because it has it's own balcony and is on the roof deck area which has a good view of the sea, Mt. Tapyas and the town center. You can also eat on the roof deck area since it has tables and chairs. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained. Although the room was not that big, it's tastefully decorated and clean. The place also has an indoor garden which is refreshing compared to other hotels in the town proper which is kind of cluttered. You can also find artworks and native crafts everywhere inside the hotel which add to that "nature feel" interior. The staff were friendly and accommodating as well. When we arrived, they serve welcome drinks which we didn't expect considering that the place is not like a 5-star hotel or something. Also, this place is to everything. From the market, travel and tours offices, pasalubong centers, and port area. There's also a Zagu store right next to the entrance so whenever you get thirsty from all that island-hopping activity, you can just order your fave shake. And oh there's also WiFi which was fast during our stay. We're able to upload our photos right away when we got to the hotel. Over-all our stay here was stress-free, laidback and made our experience in Coron more fun. I totally recommend this place!

The Good:
1.) Location!
- Right smack near the marketplace. Everything is within reach. If you don't mind a little noise at night. With all the full day tours, you will be dead tired to mind hearing tricycles at night. If not, consider getting the inner rooms that are not along the road.
- Restaurants like Bistro Coron, Coron Edge, Centro Coron are just 2 to 3 minute walks away. Foodtrips and the barbecue place for locals is a few distance away. The bbq place is definitely a good way to cut down the budget for meals.
- The trail and jump-off point for Mt. Tapyas is just a 5 minute walk. Access to the boat tours, near Sea Dive, is nearby as well.

2.) Relatively new
- If you are particular with how your hotel looks, then consider Balaibinda. The rooms are clean and new but a bit small. It has the charm of a boutique hotel so those are definitely a plus.

3.) Other perks
- FREE coffee all day. FREE breakfast everyday. The food served are really decent.
- Friendly staff. They gave us contacts for our tours for the Coron Island Loop and Calauit Tour. They let us put our groceries and beer for the tour in their fridge.

Some things for improvement:
- Coron is still a small 'sleepy' town. The regular power outages would really make me consider getting a fan room in other hotels next time. We only used the AC once in our 5 day stay. Would've saved half of the budget for accommodation. This is the reason why I'm marking the value at 3 stars.
- Rooms do not have intercoms so expect staff knocking on your door for tour updates every now and then.

Enjoyed our 4D 3N stay in stay there. It's a walking distance from the port, market place and dining places. It has a homey atmosphere, the rooms are quite clean and looks new, free wifi, and the heater is working perfectly fine except if there are brownouts. There were several brownouts during our stay there but they have generator to use for the lights and the fans.

My only comment here was when we tried to order for lunch, it will still take some time for them to cook since they still need to order from the market. So we end up eating lunch outside. But no worries since there are many dining places to choose from.
Make sure you advice them early if you are going to have lunch there.

The breakfast is ordered the night before and you have to make sure the time you requested to serve is the time you will actually eat your breakfast. If you are late, you might find the food not so hot anymore.

Overall, we have enjoyed our stay here and will booked in this hotel the next time we come back to coron.

Balaibinda is right at heart of the town of Coron, a 30minute ride from the airport. You can ask them to fetch you at the airport, just make sure you call/text them ahead of your expected time of arrival ( note: a fee of P150/person for the shuttle). We got a room for three right at the roadside but it wasn't noisy. Free fast WiFi anywhere in the lodge for net addicts and I think that's a big plus. If you plan to go to any certain tourist spots within town on your own such as the Mt Tapyas, Cashew store & Maquinit Spring just get in touch with the staffs at the front desk and they will hire a tricycle for your tour ( with a charge of P400 ). They also make arrangements for day tour packages. Truly a value for money..Small tip: At the corner of the street where Balaibinda is located, there's a small eatery called "Food Trip" which is a must try- their food are simply sumptuous! :D

I booked a family room from Dec. 28 to Jan.1 and we came early and the lady on the counter informed me that the room was ready but we can't go unless we pay extra fee for early check in. We waited as I can't change the booking and Agoda already deducted the payment in my credit card so no choice for me and my family. After waiting more than 2 hours, one lady informed us we can go in. As we were so tired, we slept and when we woke up, we want to go out then we remembered no one gave us a room key. When I checked with the lady in the reception area (you have to go down by stairs), she said it was in our room. The person who accompanied us to the room never gave us the key. No customer's service or etiquette at all. At night, mosquitos have a feast biting all our legs. And in the morning breakfast, it is so bland and you will loose your appetite. I saw so many foreigners didn't even touch their meal. Imagine, how bad it is. We complained about mosquitos but no immediate action. No wi fi and no in house restaurant. We booked our boat trip outside which is much cheaper and more organized. This Lodge has no customer service or manners at all. There's a lot of hotel or lodge where you can comfortably sleep with out mosquito bites, with good breakfast and well trained staff.

cute little hotel. street side rooms have unbearable road noise so the cheap rooms probably not worth it if you are a lite sleeper.AC works well but doesn't kill street noise. Staff very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast but you have to order it the day before, and pick a time you will eat, not convenient because you never know when the street noise will wake you up. Beds are very comfortable, wifi very slow. Inside rooms seem quiet. Can tan on third floor but you will be laying on tile floor. Some sun lounges would be nice as there is nowhere to suntan in coron

Great location! We stayed in one of the 2 single bed courtyard rooms for a night. It was very cozy. The only complaint I had was the musky, damp smell in the room, but overall friendly and helpful staff, free wifi, a/c, complimentary breakfast. Would stay there again.

This is a small hotel near to the public market in Coron that offers accommodation a step above basic. My room was small but adequate with air conditioning. The bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and arranged my tours competently. The area surrounding the hotel is typically ramshackled, but did not feel unsafe. There is no beach in the immediate vincinity. The area itself is highly scenic with many islands scattered in the vincinity. If you climb up to the cross overlooking the town, the views are marvellous. They are even better if you climb up 936 meter Mt. Tandalara (ask for directions) just outside of town. The tours I took to Coron Island and Caluit Islads were excellent and much recommended. The snorkeling is great in places. The hotel arranged for me to have a massage in my room for 350 pesos. The breakfast offered was basic.
