Travelling as a party of 5, we had 2 rooms and spent a week here. Good clean basic accommodation. WiFi can be a little hit and miss but that didn’t spoil our stay. We found it to be a good location for going on boat tours, tuk tuk ride to the beach. And good central location for restaurants in the evenings. Staff all very helpful with suggestions of where to visit. Bakery directly opposite is also excellent
We stayed here for 4 night and other than the location it was well below what we expected. Not once was our room cleaned, offered fresh trowels or sheets. When I asked for fresh towels and sheets I was greeted with a confused look. I asked if we could pay for some clothes to be washed and the answer was an immediate no even though our room looked out to a washing line that often had clothes on it. Also because the corrugated iron on the roof isn't secured properly, if there is any wind its extremely noisy and sounds like someone is jumping on the roof.
We stayed here for 5D/4N and I must say that this hotel exceeded our expectations. The location is great as it is in the center of everything, literally. The room we've availed is Kaye which is good for 4 pax but we only paid lower than its rate since it's just the two of us. Also, it is clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is very good. The staff are very accommodating as well as Ms. Dianne; she is very helpful and she arranged our tour and everything went smooth. We've enjoyed everything! I can vouch for this place as it is a budget friendly hotel which will exceed your expectations. We will definitely stay here once we go back to Coron.
Room and Amenities: * The room is clean * We availed of the room good for 4 pax. 1 queen bed, 1 single bed and 1 sofa bed * Rate is 637.50/person/night which is a very good deal for the group * Comfortable bed, pillows, and blanket * They will provide you extra pillows without extra charge * TV, AC, shower, and lights are all working fine * TV has no cable but we barely use it because we’re too busy with the activities * With cabinet, and enough power outlets * The CR is not spacious but bearable * There are water dispensers in the compound where you can refill your water bottles * There are plenty of tables outside the rooms where you can dine in * You can request for housekeeping once a day Location: * located at the town proper. Souvenir stores, Agency Offices and other tourist sports are very accessible from the guesthouse Food: * The food is good. Plenty of food choices from Filipino to American breakfast meals. * We tried the longanisa, adobo flakes and beef tapa with complementary coffee or hot chocolate drink * Filipino breakfast meals cost 120 per ala carte Price: * Range is 700 - 1,000 per person per night depending on the room you want to avail Other Services: * Receptionists are accomodating * I have no issues with their service * We were even allowed to extend for an hour without any charges Overall Rating: I highly recommend Palanca Guesthouse if you want a decent accomodation with a budget of 700 to 1,000 per person per night. I spent 2,550.00 for 5D4N and it was worth it. …
Me ang my friends stayed there for 3 nights. The crew was very friendly and accommodating. She always made sure that we have everything we need. The room is nothing fancy, but very decent for the price you pay for. The AC was working well, same as the water heater in the bathroom if you want that relaxing hot bath after a long day. The place is also walking distance to the prime areas like public market, merchandise stalls, restaurants, and the park where you can spend your afternoon strolling while waiting for that wonderful sunset. This place is perfect for both big groups, couples and even solo travelers (their place is gated, so you feel so secured). The only recommendation I’d give is to improve on the wifi connectivity.
