What an absolutely delightful resort! Have to give it a 5 star review. When we read some of the previous reviews, we nearly didn't book, but we are so glad we did. Firstly, the WIFI in the room is excellent, both for web browsing and downloading files. And speaking of the room, it's just brilliant. It's one of 8 bedrooms over two floors and is immaculate, with aircon and ceiling fan, fridge, kettle, coffee machine and two double beds. The bathroom is big and beautifully appointed with a large shower, fabulous washbasin and plenty of hot water. The restaurant serves good food, reasonably priced we thought for the kind pf resort it is. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. The new restaurant and Catering manager, Jes Tungol, was at pains to make us welcome and ensure we had everything we needed. All the staff are remarkably friendly and helpful, and the pool area is a delight. Yes, there is live music in the evening until around 10.00pm, but they were a great band that played a variety of 'easy listening' songs, which were fine. To hear some reviewers, you would think Black Sabbath were here every night. The gardens are beautiful too with some lovely plants and trees. We originally booked for 3 nights because of certain reviews, but once here, had no hesitation extending for a further 3 nights. We're glad we came and would have no hesitation returning. We're from the UK and have no links to the resort, so this is a genuine review.

This is just the best place that you can stay on your visit to Coron. I stayed 4 nights at the end of my trip to the Philippines. Everything is kept pristine and the staff is always looking for ways to help you out. I honestly think that it was the place where I got the best service experience on my 1 month trip to the country. The pool is great, the green spaces are beautiful and the food is really nice. The prices are pretty standard for Coron, so you won't feel that you are paying extra for staying at this amazing place. Special thanks to Jess (Mr Jesus, the restaurant boss) who made the impossible to make our Birthday night memorable. We got a personal waiter, a beautiful birthday cake and even the live singer to sing happy birthday. Thanks Tag Resort's crew for making our last days in the Philippines such a paradise to relax and enjoy. Absolutely recommended!

Pros: pools were well kept and clean. The staff were extremely friendly, nice and respectful especially Michael from Buntag restaurant. He was very accommodating and shared some of his advice for our trip. The room that we stayed at was phenomenal with the outdoor pool. Hand soap. Shampoo and body gel were refilled every morning along with toothbrush, comb and other necessities. Our room had fridge refilled with water daily and also had coffee maker. Free breakfast every morning was a definite plus. Cons: prepare to spend money because if you want to do tours, you will have to cough up some $$$$ for gear rentals and such. I lost the mouth piece of the goggles that I rented from the hotel and i ended up paying 500 pesos for it. It was definitely not my fault because the thing was coming off already so just bring your own gear or buy your own. Overall thought: I would definitely come back here for their resort and do another tour in the future. Their resort is fairly price in my opinion and the staff alone makes the whole experience worthwhile.

We went there because our flywas cancel. The place isnice and youcanmake lovely pictures. We started evening with a cocktail but they should serve it in a nice glass rather than simple glass from the kitchen. Like that everybody can publish wonderful picture and make publicity for the resort also. Then we ordered a burger... small and fries were cold !!! How it's possible ? The price was almost php 600 but it should be better to propose different size of the burger. Like that again you can publish nice picture to say we had amazing burger at TAG RESORT . We were disapointed, the size was for kids !!!

We arrived here because my wife got injured and had to be in a wheelchair....try that in Coron proper. The poolarea is exceptional. The a la carte food is quite good, buffet could be improved but not bad at all. Our double bed room was spacious and clean. The location is spectaculair. Things to improve is service surrounding the pool/bar area. We didn't get noticed often while they knew my wife was disabled and empty plates not always removed, seemed to depend on which staff was present, some days it was great roo. Finally the bathroom at reception/poolside needs to be modernised this is below standard, get a handdryer at least...floors get wet and slippery since no-one can properly dry their hands. All in all we enjoyed our stay and staff is superfriendly and helpfull.

Guys this is the one! From the front desk who greeted us like we're part of their family, to amazing cocktails made by Ravon, to amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner The food is so good. All of there staff is kind and genuine
The restaurant manager Jess is so accommodating :)
We got the tadhana deluxe king room with direct pool access to your own private pool The bed and pillows are clean and they even get us complimentary anniversary decorations.
The bathroom are clean It was 5 star over all experience.
Highly recommended And we will definitely come back!
Oooops! Don't forget there good mood band that plays in the pool and or inside the restaurant.

During our 4-week stay in the Philippines, this was one of our favorite resorts and therefore we stayed here for 1 week. Over New Year we booked a neighboring resort (whose name I will not mention here), which was worlds more expensive, but delivered about the same standard as the day resort. Staff friendly, food very good, pool area very comfortable (only the laundry service extremely expensive). Price/performance ratio is definitely right here, clear recommendation. Greetings go out to Jeff (food and beverage manager) who checked on things every day. (Tip for those who want to see the neighboring islands/beaches: the boatmen earn about 300 pesos per trip while the tourist information in town earns about 5,000 pesos on a private tour for half a day. Look for someone who speaks English at the port and find a boat there for a private tour (which is totally worth it) and rather give these drivers a little more . We also once just got dropped off at a secluded beach as the main spots are very crowded around noon).

The focal point of the resort are the two swimming pools. Upon entering the lobby, go further down and voila! There’s a bar and the first pool which is surrounded by cabanas and lounging chairs. Love it that most of these lounging chairs are submerged in the water so you can have the tan while still cooling your body in water. In the evening, the pool is lit up with tiny firefly lights and when we were there, there was band and a fire poi exhibition. I loved it that we were having happy hour by the poolside.
Our room was quite spacious with two double beds which can easily fit 4 pax. The bathroom was big and the focal point is the custom-made Romblon marble sink.
Rubber slippers are provided. There’s a balcony with a bamboo rack for the wet clothes. And there’s a coffee machine which uses coffee pods. There’s complimentary water, too.
We booked our island hopping tour through the hotel, too. We decided to get a smaller boat but exclusive to us so we can customize our itinerary.
I’ll surely go back to TAG Resort when I do have the change to go back to Coron!

Overall our stay in Tag Resort is the best. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Convenient location with lots of tricycles for transportation and hotel reception is always helpful. Bed is comfy and spacious, pillow is fluffy and good to sleep on. Location of the rooms are far down away from the main highway making it really quiet helping you have a good sleep at night. Pool view is our room so really nice to take a dip after a hot day put on tours! Tours office are also located near reception so booking is convenient. They even have airport transfer, motorcycles rentals and massage ( which my husband and i enjoyed at our room!) Overall experience at tag resort is really good. Best hotel in coron for me.

My partner and I were treated appallingly at Tag Resort. We had no communication up until arriving at the hotel around 7pm that they had overbooked and blamed it on Booking.com. They even spent 10 minutes trying to sell us a valentines dinner before telling us we’d have to stay at another hotel! It’s Chinese New Year so most hotels were fully booked. We then found ourselves another hotel thankfully who had space at about 9/10pm that night! It ruined our evening and meant we were waking up in a budget hotel (staff were brilliant however!) instead of a premium hotel on my partner’s birthday. The staff at Tag Resort laughed at our expense, even trying to take a selfie with we made them drive us to the other location. Disgusting behaviour. We’ve since met other couples who’ve had the same thing happen to them. What’s more alarming is that they said they’d sacrifice other guests to accommodate us on our second night, we of course declined and were glad to never step foot in their resort again. It’s tainted our experience of Coron.
