Awesome to stay an amazing place to spend some family time. The staff were a 10/10. Jess the manager was very welcoming, and attentive. We celebrated our daughter’s birthday and he was able to facilitate a very beautiful surprise dining experience from the band singing her a birthday song as she walked to the outdoor dining, to the fire dance presentation and crews singing another birthday song when they brought out cake and champagne with fireworks. Truly exceeded our expectations. we will definitely be returning!

This is just the best place that you can stay on your visit to Coron. I stayed 4 nights at the end of my trip to the Philippines. Everything is kept pristine and the staff is always looking for ways to help you out. I honestly think that it was the place where I got the best service experience on my 1 month trip to the country. The pool is great, the green spaces are beautiful and the food is really nice. The prices are pretty standard for Coron, so you won't feel that you are paying extra for staying at this amazing place. Special thanks to Jess (Mr Jesus, the restaurant boss) who made the impossible to make our Birthday night memorable. We got a personal waiter, a beautiful birthday cake and even the live singer to sing happy birthday. Pool One of the best resort pools I've ever had the pleasure of swimming in, it's perfect for families with its shallow end and caters to adults looking for relaxation with its bar at the pool's edge. Room my room at TAG Resort is simply stunning with every detail considered that made my stay comfortable and luxurious. the painting on the wall, the soft and cozy beddings, and the spacious bathroom with its premium amenities--everything was picture-perfect. How I love their advocacy for sustainability, too! From eco-friendly practices to locally sourced materials used in the bathroom, TAG Resort shows its commitment to preserving Coron's natural beauty and supporting local communities. I just love their bathroom liquids placed in a quatro canto GSM bottle which helps eliminate plastic waste. That was a bright idea right there! The Complementary Coffee What struck me the most is their complimentary coffee. I've always been in loved with coffee, and TAG Resort surely knew how to give their guests a warm welcome by putting a coffee machine in each room. You guys got my heart from the very start of my stay! Buffet Breakfast Meals. One of the best things about staying at TAG Resort is their Buffet Breakfast Meals. Served in a beautiful spacious Buntag Restaurant, they offer an extensive selection of dishes to start your day off right. I'm an egg lover, and I love watching their chef prepare my sunny-side-up eggs, right in front of me. Tagay Pool Bar Right after you checked in, a complimentary drink awaits you at the Tagay Pool Bar. With a wide array of refreshing drinks and beverages, you can opt to enjoy your drinks by the pool or at a comfortable lounge area beside the lagoon pool. I'm only into juices so I was only able to taste their Calamansi juice. Service and Crew My TAG experience was made more homey with the smiles and warm greetings of the resort's staff. As my room is located quite a distance away from the lobby, I have to take a few minute strolls and will come across amiable staff who always greeted me with their friendly "hello" and asked if I needed any assistance. I was there with my team and our Boss from the US to have a well deserve break, but it all started on a wrong note. Our flight from MNL was delayed due to poor weather condition, and guess what? The hotel charged us a thousand for the late arrival to Busuanga airport. When we arrived at Tag, we were supposed to receive the "welcome drink", we were asked to go the bar but no one from the staff was there, so we have to wait for several minutes to have our drink. The rooms were nice and clean but the AC unit is defective and the TV remote is not working. You will always have to call front desk to fix almost everything. Free breakfast is also not satisfactory because of few choices of food. Pool is dirty and full of dead insects.

The hotel it self offers good room and facility. However, staff needs more training. Dont get me wrong, Indeed most of them are very polite. Check in: 3 staff at the counter and there were 2 sets for check in, one of them is us who is waiting. No acknowledgement, we approach the staff instead of them approaching us. Attentiveness is the key. Tip: dont show your Hotel-TA correspondence as it shows commissions for your TA partners. After check in, staff walk us in the room and we didn’t know that our room is quite of distance. Saw that there is a buggy however didn’t even offer to us. No room explanation done just informed us to call the reception for further questions. Room was great indeed. There are few occasions that there is a short power trip. Some minor issue such as stained towel and mini bar not able to chill the drinks inside. Buntag restaurant for Breakfast area is big, food choice is adequate. All of the staff is nice and cheerful except for 1 of the egg station chef. We tried ordering on the first day of our breakfast however ignored and didn’t even greet us. Must order on his assistant server only. The rest was very polite and attentive. Tips go after 8 as it is less crowded and can enjoy the breakfast peacefully. Pool Bar, the barman was not attentive maybe busy on his inventory as he just opened 1 hr ago. There was this instance he is talking in the phone most probably with another staff and he was cursing, he might forgotten that some guest could understand him. He was very attentive with foreign ladies though. Every time we call the reception or talk to them feels like they are unsure. Specially when we ordered room service, lots of uncertainty when they handled their guest. We already inform them that we are paying cash and even asked them to bring some change however upon arrival of our order still asked us for room charge or cash payment, no change was brought so they have to come back few minutes after. Wasted effort on this. Our room i think is their highest category but we didn’t have a luxurious stay-experience. Thus, I would recommend to book their normal room instead. Hope that they take this as learning and would guide them for the hotel improvement. Maybe one day I will visit the hotel again but for now low rating first for your improvement. A great resort just outside of Coron main centre. The rooms were spacious, clean and had a balcony with a bamboo drying rack. It was really quiet whilst we were staying so we’re able to get pool beds easily. Main pool area was great although some umbrellas over the loungers would be good otherwise you just have the cabana beds. We only had breakfast there which offered a good spread with the eggs station. Boyle would organise tuk tuk into coron which was 5mins for 80bhat so very cheap.

The pillows are the fluffiest I’ve ever felt. The room is very clean and loved the idea of the coffee maker. Coolest pool lights I have seen! Loved the fire dance every night. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Coron is not a beach destination. There is no beachside Hilton, Hyatt, Four Seasons or Ritz, etc here. It's mostly about what is underwater here. The area's coral gardens and wrecks rightly attract divers from around the world. Saying that the TAG resort fills an interesting and needed niche. In lieu of a beach, it has the best pool area in Coron. It's a great place to relax on your non dive days. Unlike the chaos of Central Coron town, it's mostly quiet and peaceful here. It's a 10-minute, 40 pesos trip/person 'tricycle' trip into town when the need or desire hits you. But TAG is NOT a high-end resort. The rooms, while sparkling clean, are motel-like rather resort. And surprisingly the resort is not at all set up for diving. There is no relationship with any of the local dive operators, and no washdown or storage area for your gear. However, the shower area is large and most rooms have a patio/deck. Like most tourist places around the world after three years of COVID, the resort is a little rough around the edges. The staff is still learning and nonessential maintenance has been visibly deferred. As others have noted, the food is passable but without any sense of inspiration. In town, try El Kuvo (make sure to try the Mango Marg!) to get a good sense of what's possible here. Again, other places in town did better at giving a Philippino fusion experience at a similar or better price. Regardless, the staff is motivated, warm-hearted and really try their best. In the end, I felt like the resort was built to target the mid/upscale Philippino market. I enjoyed my 7-day stay here. Saying that the TAG resort has enormous but unrealized potential.
