We stayed for 4-5 days and felt at home. It is very clean and everyone is very hospitable. When my boyfriend got sick Tita Gloria prepared special foods and drinks for him. They have a pickup shuttle and Kuya Albert picked us up from the airport and dropped us of at a dive center because we needed to book dives there. He took our luggage already to our room. Each morning they prepared fresh breakfast, they asked us what we would like to eat. When we wanted to go to the hotsprings we could rent a motorbike via them and it was arranged within a minute. The pensionhouse is right next to the port so especially perfect if you take a ferry or arrive with ferry. We highly recommend Sunrise Pensionhouse. I stayed here with my wife for about 4 nights on a recent trip to coron and had a decent experience. PROS * Value - We paid around $50 AUD (I think this is about 30-35USD) for a double per night. Coron is a little bit more expensive than other places in the Phillipines so I thought this was reasonable value, particularly when we compared it to other options at the time. * Room - Decent size and clean with a comfortable double bed. Room had a window overlooking the water * Hot water worked * Free breakfast - This was served in a overwater deck. It was a bit average but the setting was nice. They allowed you to refill your water bottles free of charge. * There is a rooftop which provides a great sunset over the town of coron. It looks like they once planned to make this into a bar but just never got around to it. You can bring drinks up there. * Service - this was the real highlight. They were so welcoming and accomodating of us from the time we got there to the time we left. We were able to organise a private tour of coron for myself and my wife, which picked us up from the deck after breakfast. CONS * Location - It is next to the passenger port and not the centre of coron so you needed to get a tricycle to get to the city. We couldn't seem to find anyone that would accept anything less than 15PP each way (or 2 people). The cycles were plentiful so we didn't need to wait too long to get one. * Rooms were a bit basic but this was reflected in the price. * Wifi was scatty but this is a issue all across coron. Overall this was a great place to stay and I would recommend it to others looking for a mid-range option.…

My boyfriend and I spend five nights in the Sunrise Pension House and were really happy about this choice! We had a clean spacious room with nice sea view, air condition and hot water. The staff was really hearty and competent when we needed help. We loved to have breakfast or just a coffee in the dining area of the pension since it offered a great ocean view. From this place it's quite close to the harbour where you can get picked up for islands tours. But visitors who want to have more nightlife, bars and restaurants close by should rather go closer to the centre since the Sunrise Pension House is quite far from that. However, my boyfriend and I where looking for a less touristic place to stay, so if you're also looking for a stay outside the touristic centre we can definitely recommend this pension. But if you attach high importance to a good wifi connection you will probably be disappointed of the poor wifi network at this place. But all in all, we would definitely come back to this place!…

Good place for the price. Service was personal like staying with family. Home cooked breakfast every morning. And we booked all our tours through the resort before we arrived. They also let us know when the tour vans arrived. It is on the outskirts of town but that makes it more quiet, and it's only 10 Pecos per person to go down town. There is a small store across the street and a restaurant a couple doors down. Great place!

for a large family to go on vacation, Sunrise Pension House is a good choice. Pros: 1. Staff is very accommodating, even the owner, Tita Gloria will make sure that you have a very wonderful stay. 2. all kinds of tour packages were available from their resort and will give you even cheaper prices for the trip. (depends on which package you'll take) 3. Food is superb. We weren't able to book for a full board package but were being accommodated on the day of arrival. the good thing is, we were the ones who provide the menu on what they should cook (like a seaside resto in Manila). cons: 1. wifi is weak, granting your in PH and in a remote area, expect wifi signal are not good. 2. room ACs are not cold enough. and the toilets are a bit small. p.s. the resort seems to have a long list of friendly neighbors and we even got one of the best Tour Guides in Coron (i forgot the name of the tour guide, but according to him, he is one of the three guides that were interviewed by International News Orgs for Their Documentary) and I can attest to how good he really is. :)…

I travelled with a group of friends for 5 days and 4 nights and we were in touch with the owner Gloria who was very helpful from the beginning to the end of our trip. Everything went smooth and enjoyable up to the last minute. Our pick up from the airport was there on time and our tours were arranged by the owner and the tour pick up was at the accommodation itself as it is nicely located near the pier and has its own dock for the boat to pick us up.Food was really good as we asked to have our dinner also to be prepared for us during our stay, it was so delicious that my friends who were new to dish were awed .One of my friend got sick one time and Gloria went out of her way to help us find a Doctor even in the late hours ( that you can't beat! )I can't thank Gloria quite enough for the experience and hospitality she provided me and my group.Looking forward to coming back to Coron and staying at the Sunrise Pension House.Kind regards,ShirleyBudapest…

We stayed here for more than a week, and our stay was homey. The owners are very hands-on re schedules, food, and transportation. Everything was already planned by them so we only have eat, travel, and ENJOY. The rooms and bathrooms are big, and the beds are so cozy. You would definitely want to sleep comfortably after a day of swimming and snorkeling. The place is also near the coast guard, near cashew and dried fish shops. The internet (Smart) and Globe telco signals are weak, but I don't mind. Experience nature is what I am here for.

It has been our 2nd time to be back to this place for accommodation. The reason why? It's the excellent and hospitable service that we got from the owner. As what the other reviewers has conveyed. It's GLORIA that make the difference. We are a group of 22 and we made arrangement with Gloria before our arrival regarding our itinerary, food choices, transportation (land and sea) and accommodations in the islands that we will visit. It was smooth and hassle free vacation. We just relax and enjoy and feast on the foods that they prepared for us. The location is near the seaport. Going around Coron is just a tricycle ride to roam around the town. The rooms are standard and no complaints at all. After a long day of fun from sand and island hopping, the rest is quite comfortable. Definitely, we'll be back here.…
