We arrived at the hotel and our names were not in the system. When we have a tour they are not cooperating they want us to contact the travel agent and the tour guide. At first glance it did not look bad then you start to notice details, like the paint peeling from the bottom of the pool, not much chlorine in the pool, plants in old tires for landscaping, with beer bottles lining the walkway. The room we stayed in did not look like the pictures that we were shown at the travel agency. The door was very cheap with no deadbolt lock. There is no room phone if there is an emergency. the windows were glass block, with no view (a prison cell has a better view) the walls had deep cracks in them on both sides of the room, also all of the support pillars on the balcony appeared to be missing due to an earthquake at some point during its life, this could be the reason the walls are cracked in the inside, because of the lack of structural support on the outside of the building. The air conditioning in the room was noisy all night, there were no toiletries except a bar of soap and two bath towels, there was only one sheet on the bed? There is no room safe. There is no refrigerator. The lighting was very dim with only one light switch no night lights, there was not very much pressure in the shower, the floors were dirty. The street at night is very dim and scary if you were to walk back alone at night. It was very hard to get the complimentary breakfast even when ordered the night before, and no coffee ready in the morning. The staff are unfriendly especially the breakfast staff. When we confronted the owner regarding the staff and the hotel she told us to leave. So this tells me she only cares about the money not the quality. The WiFi is very poor everywhere in the premises.…
Very nice hotel in Coron, the location is perfect and the rooms confortable. The pool is great and pleasant at the end of the day. The breakfast is very good. And the family who own the hotel is really nice and helpful. I recommend this place!
What I like about this place is the relaxing atmosphere. It is surrounded with trees and beautifully landscaped gardens. The water in the swimming pool is clean and sparkling. There is an outside shower for you to use before and after swimming. The room is massive with separate lounge, bedroom and bathroom. Although it is very basic, it’s comfortable and clean as can be. The bed is very firm made of foam. Bathroom is huge but has a very small shower. It’s best to bring your own toiletries as you only get two small pieces of soap. Walking distance to just about everything. Staff are friendly and helpful. Dislikes: There is nowhere to hang your clothes except in the bathroom. No electric jug to make tea or coffee, but there is free hot and cold water by the reception area. Also there is a coffee dispenser where the billiard table is and it cost 5 pesos per cup. No fridge and no safe. Dogs and roosters wakes you up early hours of the morning. …
We stayed as a couple for about 2 Weeks in June! The Hotel/Resort was clean, the staff friendly. Our room was cozy, the AC worked well, shower & bathroom clean. The Housekeeping was cleaning the room upon request, changed towels and bedsheets. The Restaurant was only open in the morning to order and have breakfast and upon request with a proper brewed coffee :), AWESOME! All in all a nice place to stay in relax, 2 minutes walk away from the noisy, crazy busy main road were you can find all Restaurants and nice bars. A place to stay and relax. Thank you! Btw. The owner is fluent in German, English and Tagalog which is a big help!
I had a large room in its main building. The room was plain and simple. The bed was fine though it only had two sheets for covering. The bathroom was large. The shower was fine with hot water. The door has a simple type lock on it. There is no safe in the room, but you can leave your valuables at the main office in its locked metal cabinet ( note that the cabinet and office are actually on the outdoor porch ). There is an all night guard but I never saw him. The AC was good. The TV was just adequate. The location is fantastic in that it is on a quiet street and the lodge itself is set back and is quiet. It is a short walk to the center of town and the restaurants. The wifi in the room was poor but better near the office. Breakfast was simple and adequate, coffee was 3 and 1 packet type common in the Philippines ( not brewed coffee ). The lodge grounds are very nice and it is like a little oasis away from the more crowded town center. It has a pool table which is nice for the kids and of course the pool. The staff made me sandwiches for one of my boat trips for a reasonable charge. The only noise issue I had was near my room there occasionally was a water falling sound that was coming I was told when the rooftop water tank overflowed for some reason. it would fall on some metal siding or roofing and make noise. There is a great view of the town and islands if you climb the stairs of the main building all the way to the top. I enjoyed my stay here. You need to book early for this place.…
