Overall I enjoyed my stay at Charms Hotel and would recommend it to other travellers. Its one of those hotels that is sort of just OK. It doesn’t necessarily bring back lovely memories and one that I fawn over and love for its character and beauty. It’s a satisfactory hotel and for its price well worth it. The pool is great and I spent much time there enjoying the peace and doing what we all love to do at a hotel pool. The rooms were ok but the one I had on the ground floor really lacked any view. I would suggest trying to get a room on the higher floors that may offer a better view. All the plumbing and electrics worked really well and so no IT, electrical or plumbing nightmares. Breakfasts were more than sufficient and the food was good. Tea on tap, which makes me super happy. Service from the girls on the front desk was very good and they met all questions and queries with smiles and that wonderful Filipino charm. I was happy to make the walk down the hill into town. It is set back a little further and this may put other travellers off. But that walk allowed me to see so much more of Coron, chat to locals and simply absorb the island atmosphere. People who want to move from bedroom to restaurant in air-conditioned comfort truly miss connecting with nature, the environment and the people of any destination. The location of the hotel also meant that I could jog out in the opposite direction into the hills and jungle behind. That was wonderful and despite the humidity and heat my daily jog was one of the best parts of my stay on Coron Island. I would tease the cute Filipino kids who would sit outside their huts and laugh at the crazy foreigner jogging past each day. So I would stay again and happily recommend this hotel. However overall I feel it could do with an injection of something to give it that really unique edge. Some identity change or styling makeover from someone with an eye for branding and identity to give it more appeal. It needs to move more into the cool boutique beauty hot hotel region and away from just ok. If it does that and they invest it would be an awesome hotel.…
The hotel is located in a quiet area and a bit outside of Coron Proper Town. By walking it will take you around 10-15 min and by tricycle less than 5 min to town. The price for the tricycle is between 10-20 pesos. This hotel is clean and tidy. The rooms are nice, clean and with a good working air con equipped. Hot and cold water shower available. They have a nice big swimming pool which is very clean. They offer international/western and filipino breakfast. Also the food in the hotel is very good. At the reception you can book tours and they also offer an airport shuttle which costs per way 150 peso. All the people working there are very friendly and helpful. Especially at the reception they are doing a great job. thanks to Eric, Andrelyn and Jeanette.
Hotel is average. Clean. Breakfast is good. The most unfortunate part of our stay was the noise levels. We had a room beside the stairs and could hear everyone coming and going. We could also hear a cock bawling for most of the day and night which caused great annoyance to us. Very overpriced for what we received. Staff were nice. Grand location. Easy to get a tricycle into town.
Stayed here for 3 nights with my partner and we loved every minute! Staff were so friendly and helpful and room/pool area were spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great too...overall fantastic little hotel!
