excellent hospitality. Good food. Very friendly and welcoming staff. They provided us with a lot of option for vegetarian food. Very personalised touch. Spa was good. The outdoor activities are excellent. Mr. Jerrard took good care of us. Ms. Grace took care of our reservations.

I enjoyed my stay here. Booked a budget room. Will stay again and recommend this to family and friends. It was a relaxing stay indeed. Would stay longer if you just want to relax. Good for a budget traveller. PROS: - Budget room is good for 2 adults and 1 kid (2 yrs old below) can stay - Lovely view of the bay and Mt. Tapyas - Free buffet breakfast starts from 6.30a-9a - Free shuttle service runs until 11p - Helpful staff - Staff offers daily cleaning of the room - Clean room and powerful ac, sheets smell fresh - The sound of nature is just relaxing, birds chirping and the sound of trees swaying. Its like nature is speaking to you. THINGS TO CONSIDER - The hotel is situated on a mountain side which means a lot of stairs to get around the hotel and hilly alleys if you want to go to town or nearby establishments. - Strong smell of chlorine in the pool - There is 5 percent SC for every purchase or consumed during the stay. - Top floor is not open during our stay, unsure the reason why but the view from the top is just immaculate. - Expensive motor rental: 500 php for 6 hours - Food served at the restaurant are average but pricey

Excellent dive master, new equipment and nice boat and crew. We had a good day diving with Skylodge and a wonderful meal. Would have gone again but a misunderstanding with the office staff left us high and dry and sadly we didn't get to dive.

I did my online research and compared hotels before choosing Skylodge Resort as our Coron home base for 5D/4N in May 2023. My decision was primarily influenced by positive reviews about its buffet breakfast, free hotel shuttle to and from town, scenic restaurant/rooftop view and the price. Booking I booked and fully paid for 2 different budget rooms via agoda.com for my party of 5 three months before our trip. During booking, I left a comment that we require airport transfer (which cost extra, P250/person/one-way) and even gave our flight number, arrival date and time but no one acknowledged my request. Closer to the date, I emailed Skylodge and still got no reply. Long story short, the hotel email on file with Agoda is obsolete and the correct email can be found in Skylodge Resort's website. With a local friend's assistance, I finally got email confirmation that we will be picked up at the airport. Note1: I was aware that Skylodge offers a family of 5 room, slightly cheaper compared to booking a budget double and budget triple, but the single bathroom for 5 people was a dealbreaker for me. Note2: I realized later that I could have availed of the 20% senior citizen discount for my 2 senior relatives if I paid directly to the hotel. In case you didn't know, this discount applies to Philippine citizens over 60 years old with valid Senior Citizen ID. I totally forgot about it when I booked and paid online. Airport Transfer Our Airswift flight arrived on time and we were out of the airport within mins. We found out that pick up at Coron's Busuanga airport was "give us your hotel name" instead of "look for your name on a sheet of paper". We were immediately led to an air-conditioned van and told we were waiting for 3 more who were arriving via Cebu Pacific. While waiting in the van, the weather turned nasty and it started raining hard. After an hour, the driver came back to say there was a missing luggage situation and he was no longer waiting for those 3 people. By this time it was past 1PM, we were hungry and we still have to sit through a 30min ride to the hotel. Check-in It was still raining when we reached Skylodge Resort. After the usual check-in requirements and welcome spiel, we were given our room keys (1 key per room), wi-fi password and offered cold refreshments and face towels. However, instead of allowing us to enjoy our drinks at the reception area, front desk was too eager to rush us to our rooms. On hindsight, I should have been pleased because it was not even check-in time (2PM). I understood that they expected us to split up at this point since we were heading to separate rooms. However they did not know we have a senior family member who needed a little TLC. I should have spoken up at this point but I did not, my bad. Anyway, I did not appreciate being led to our rooms while holding a drink in one hand and a wet towel in another, under the rain (some walkways and stairs have no roof) while navigating several stairs and, in our case, assisting one slightly wobbly 70+ year old. First stop was Room 201 on the far end of the 2nd floor for our 2 seniors and after quickly getting them settled my family continued on downstairs to the opposite direction to Room 105. Rooms My group occupied two budget rooms: Room 201 - a budget double (CAD61/N) for our 2 seniors and Room 105 - a budget triple (CAD78/N) for my family of 3. Both are located in the building with the rooftop patio. The rooms are exactly as shown in photos. Room features are the same except for the beds, a queen for Room 201 and a triple bunk bed (queen and twin) for Room 105. Some notable room features: window type air conditioner, mini refrigerator (mini bar), flat-screen TV, telephone, mirror wall, counter shelves, safe, a few hangers, bath towels, disposable slippers, plastic laundry bags, electric kettle and complimentary coffee and service water... en-suite bathroom with hot and cold shower, toilet and sink with complimentary toiletries. A note inside the bathroom warned guests not to drink tap water as it is not potable. Likes: I loved the mirror wall in both rooms. No need to take turns using the sink mirror to check one's appearance when getting ready to go out. Free service water refill was also much appreciated. Dislikes: Wi-fi was slow. It was a little difficult to climb up or down the bunker ladder. There was low water pressure in the shower during our entire stay. There was no clothesline or towel rack in the bathroom for hanging towels. There were biting mosquitoes at the terrace outside the room. Room tip: Room door automatically locks once door is closed so always have the key with you even when you are just stepping outside your room to hang wet swimwear on the terrace railing. Buffet Breakfast Skylodge Resort's buffet breakfast was the best we've had that I can remember. This was no simple continental buffet breakfast offered by most hotels. I am talking delicious, filling, no-repeats hot buffet table with mostly Filipino food... soup, rice, meat, vegetable, fish... a separate table for assorted breads and jams, deli meat and cheese, boiled eggs, cut fruits and fresh salad... cold cereals... coffee, orange juice and water... and a pancake station manned by staff who would prepare and bring them to your table. Plus they have a resident mascot, a friendly white cat who calls this place home. Breakfast was served from 6:30-9:30AM. The view from the open-air dining room or should I say, the hotel's restaurant, St Michael Cafe & Resto Bar, was amazing. The view of Mt Tapyas and the surrounding town, port, sea, mountain, islands and sky more than made up for the many stairs we had to navigate around Skylodge. We had lunch here once and breakfast 4x and we enjoyed eating here every time. Free Hotel Shuttle To and From Town We really took advantage of Skylodge Resort's free hotel shuttle to and from town especially since we came with 2 seniors. We either called or dropped by front desk whenever we wanted a ride to town, usually before dinner time, and just called the provided number when we're ready to be picked up. After the first longish wait, we made it a point to call just before we finished our food. The free shuttle was very convenient and the driver was very accommodating. One night we were on our way back to the hotel and we did a quick stop at a bank so we can withdraw from the ATM. On our last full day in Coron, the shuttle driver dropped us off and later picked us up at the bottom of Mt Tapyas. Hotel Location and Features Skylodge Resort's location is not pedestrian-friendly. It can only be accessed using a mostly steep and narrow backroad--only one vehicle at a time. We considered exploring the area on foot, just us 3, like we do in places we visit, but we ruled it out the very first day we arrived. Yes, there are no elevators in Skylodge, this has been clear from the start. The hotel's walkways and stairs were manageable but some were unprotected from the rain, like the steps beside the koi pond and the stairs going down the 1st floor to our building. In addition, rainwater pooled at the stairs leading up to the 2nd floor. One thing they seriously need to fix is that awkward half-step at the landing right in front of what looked like the souvenir shop. Hotel has a pool which we never got the chance to use. There always seemed to be music in the evening, either karaoke or live band, but the noise never reached inside our rooms. Service Pleasant and accommodating hotel and breakfast staff. Front desk was able to lend us a plug adapter so we could charge our laptop in the room. Housekeeping cleaned our rooms every day. Everyone was quick to greet and smile. Checkout We went to front desk and paid (with debit card) all room charges and airport transfer fees after breakfast on checkout day. We also got confirmation on pick-up time for airport transfer. We were already halfway to the airport when we realized we still had our room key! We eventually handed it over to the driver to return to Skylodge Resort's front desk. Overall, the things we liked about the hotel far outweighed the negatives. However, we would only stay here again if there were no senior family members with us.

This is my favorite hotel I stayed at during my trip to Palawan. It’s perched on a hill near town, so it’s quiet and the same time convenient. They have a free shuttle that takes you down the hill. The rooms were clean, air conditioned with a nice bathroom. Comes with a complementary breakfast and welcome drink. The diving through the hotel was superb, we had 3 dive instructors for 6 people, so we got individualized attention as we dived through shipwrecks down to 18 meters. I am only open water certified, so I didn’t want to go into the ship wreck due to some claustrophobia. Don’t go in the ship wreck, if you don’t feel comfortable. I will definitely stay here if I visit Coron again.

Stayed @ Skylodge Resort from 15 – 19 Feb 2023 & I have a lotta gd things to say the resort. First of all, the room although slightly smaller than I thought was clean, well maintained and utilitarian. I like the fact that they had a working fridge & water kettle, which I noticed that many resorts or hotels in the Philippines would have lacked or not well maintained. 1 thing which I think could still be improved is the AC , which some guests would find slightly noisy. I also like the resort initiatives to provide free transport for guests to & fro Coron Town proper. I think this is very thoughtful of the resort given that the resort is situated above a small hill & the road along the way is steep & elderly or physically challenged guests might find it hard to walk. The resort staff were also hospitable and helpful, and full of smiles which makes me feel welcomed. I really love the view of the bay from the dining areas of the resort, and seeing it while dinning in the morning really lightens up the mood. Last thing which I wld wanna pt out, & was also highlighted by the other guests is the WiFi network, which is way too unstable for my liking & has a lotta room for improvement. Wanted to mention the gym, which looks very beat up, dusty & unmaintained, but then again, I guess not many ppl bother to hit the gym during vacation anyway Lol. Overall, I quite enjoyed my sojourn @ Skylodge, & wld go back to them again in the future if I ever returned to Coron.

The best thing was the the scuba dive trip, but for this one, you don't have to be a guest to book. Other good things include: the restaurant, airport shuttle (drop off and pick up), affordable laundry service, the location, free tricycle rides to nearby places. Things that needed improvements: Rooms and bathroom and housekeeping. The gym was unmaintained and effectively unusable.

For a property of this stature you rarely see the owner but at Skylodge the owner (and his friendly dogs) is on premises and this is a reflection of the attentiveness of the staff. Pride is felt from the moment you reach the driveway. You are never left looking for help or questions unanswered. The front desk, the security, housekeeping, food & beverage….everyone is a reflection of the owner and his hopes (for the guest) for the best stay possible! The views are unsurpassed in all of the Philippines. The pool is not not ultra clean but in “tiers” of depth from 2 feet to 8 feet so it’s perfect for kids to adults. Showers have the best hot water heaters I’ve ever encountered and fully adjustable from cool to hot and the “hot” lasts! Breakfast buffet sits in an open “airy” area that is another unique quality of the Skylodge, winds/breezes that are rare in the Philippines. The electronic music (DJ’s) is high level and in a cool environment. Last but not least the tours they provide (public/joined or private) weather high end scuba or island hopping are the best because Skylodge simply cares about people and not the dollar. Was my first time to Coron and now it’s my favorite destination in Asia!

I have to commend St. Michael's bar and resto, they serve the yummiest calamares, actually all the food that we have ordered are great, chef's kisses. The staff are accomodating and friendly. Now the actual room, it was alright, everything you need is handy. We booked the budget room and you get what you paid for, but overall it was fine. Spa service attendant was fantastic. The resort staff were all accomodating, the free shuttle service to and from the town was very convenient for guests. Everything was going smooth, except for the last day of our stay. We requested for an airport transfer the night before, our flight was scheduled at 9:50 am, they told.us that the shuttle should pick us up at 7 to 730 am, ample time for bag drop, travel time and the ease of knowing that you'll definitely make it on your flight. Then no.shuttle arrived, but there were available for tours. The service arrived at 8am, upon exit from the resort there were 2 vans parked..not sure what happened with the coordination. Hope that they can improve on that aspect, cause it could be a deal.breaker just like in this case
