Detailed Reviews
We really enjoyed our stay at the ridge coron, you have a free shuttle pick up service taking you up to the hill. The hotel itself is located in the hills with a breathtaking view above the ocean. Staff is super duper friendly and very supportive. Rooms are modern and very clean. Breakfast was delicious too! We definitely come back :-)

Best way to review this hotel is with pros and cons
Pros - comfortable bed, great sea view, nice breakfast daily, friendly staff,
Cons - very noisy all day and night with people working, cockerels, guests outside (sleep quality not the best), wifi really poor, shower awful (just a trickle), hotel up a very steep hill (not good with luggage or for people who tire easily), only accept cash.
The stay wasn't horrendous and it was cheap enough but I'm sure there are better hotels on the island for a similar price.

Clean hotel with a good view from our room on the top floor. Staff were very friendly and helpful, even assisted us in getting our laundry sorted and transport to the airport. It’s about 3-5 minute walk from the town centre with a steep walkway but it wasn’t too much bother for us. Breakfast is nice and served early enough in case you are going on a tour. Great stay overall!

We checked into The Ridge after hiking up the steep, muddy hill.
Our first shock was when they gave us our room key and we went to relax, and we realised the room was already occupied with other guests.
Back down to reception, switched the keys to the neighbouring room and, as we went to shower (as we were both very sweaty after the uphill walk!), we realised there were no towels. Another walk to reception and we managed to get a couple of towels.
The bathroom itself smelled like raw sewage making it quite unbearable to shower or even brush our teeth. The room itself had ants.
Finally, the sea view room we paid extra for had no view apart from some shacks and trees. The receptionist explained they are sea view rooms, but the trees had just grown too high to see it now!
WiFi was very spotty, with little to no connection in the room, and even sat at the reception area where there is full signal, my mobile data was a lot faster.
Overall we didn't enjoy our stay and we're glad we only booked 2 nights here. I would not stay here again and would recommend travellers to steer clear of The Ridge.

Central location but away from the noisy main street. Just a little bit of walk up or down the short distance slope. And if you lazy to walk, ride on the free tuk-tuk service by the hotel, they will send you and pick you up/from the destination within the town. Staffs are all friendly, helpful and attentive, we broke our own coffee vessel, from far they heard it still offer helps even though nearly their off duty time. It is less than 50M to the mount tapyas.

We left after 1 hour even though it was 4 non-refundable nights. Room was dirty and falling apart, towels dirty, bathroom grimy and full of mosquitos, ants all over multiple walls, corners crumbling. I have no issue with basic rooms but this was not clean feeling. The reception and workers were nice and the outdoor area appeared lovely. Not in a great area of Coron and the steep hill would have been horrible and I love to walk.

Lovely, helpful staff, tasty breakfast, great view from the balcony and rooftop terrace. Drinks are reasonably priced. Easy to rent a scooter. It's a bit further from the centre so it's quiet. Very close to Mount Tapyas. They also offer free tuktuk rides to the main road. I would definitely stay there again.

Without doubt, all the STAFF here are absolutely amazing. Every morning I came downstairs I hear a very cheery “Good morning Sir Jon” and always have a little chat with the amazing recipient. But it continues throughout the establishment, breakfast staff, housekeeping boys and girls, the beautiful Tuk Tuk boys, always cheery, (even when I tease them) and also the night security man….ALL made my stay just wonderful with their care, commitment and sometimes a little cheeky talk.
Thank you all from the bottom of my ❤️

Room Tip: Room 10 is the best room, overlooks the sea and no one walks past your window.

Used as a base while visiting Coron Island. Was exactly what we needed. Great staff, very accommodating, clean, great location. Tuktut shuttle in and out of the town was a life saver. Highly recommend if looking for a place to rest your head while exploring the area.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed our stay. From the moment we arrived to the time of our departure, the staff were absolutely amazing and always gave us such good service. They were all so friendly and little things they did for us really just made the stay so lovely. We stayed in a double bedroom which was clean, comfortable, had AC and a fan. The bathroom was small but that didn’t really matter, the shower worked perfectly fine. I slept fine every night but there are roosters making a bit of noise at the early hours of the morning, which my boyfriend wasn’t too happy about but it didn’t bother me. I think with the location of the hotel that kind of noise is to be expected, just get some ear plugs if it really bothers you. I loved that you could book tours at reception really easily, I would definitely recommend booking Calamian Islands Travel & Tours and pick their super ultimate tour. They pick you up and drop you off after the tour. There is a steepish hill to get up to the hotel but they do have a little shuttle that will take you up and bring you down. Breakfast was really nice every morning, couldn’t fault it. Lastly, the hotel isn’t far from the centre so it’s easy to walk to town and doesn’t take long at all. So if you’re looking somewhere that doesn’t cost too much I would definitely recommend this place!
