The pool area is very nice and definitely the highlight of the hotel for me. The rooms look like they come straight from the 1990's in terms of design, which is strange because this hotel is apparently only a few years old. They were reasonably clean in the visible areas (under the bed was another story). We had excellent WiFi signal in the room, which was nice. Avoid the restaurant/bar. The cocktails are of very uneven quality. The breakfast was quite poor, rice with an egg and a choice between hot dog, hungarian, or longaniza. After tasting them all between our group, the meats ranged from passable (hot dog), to unappetising (longaniza) and outright disgusting (hungarian).

Rooms were nice and comfortable, although the beds are a little firm (not a problem for me). The hotel location is good if you are going out of the port but it’s a little way from Coron Town (20 min walk / 5 min tri-bike). Staff were friendly and helpful. Pool was nice although a bit lacking in sun loungers so if it’s busy then good luck. Breakfast and lunch were good but we didn’t eat there in the evening. Would recommend for a short stay in Coron Townbut equally a good base if you’re staying longer.

Stayed 4 nights, had issues with the airconditioning, and they gladly upgraded us (with a little bit of negotiation hehe)
No breakfast buffet though since it was off peak season (we were less than 30 pax checked in)
Staff were all friendly and accomodating, and they made an effort to grant our requests.
Definitely recommended if you want a comfortable hotel, but not that expensive.

The rooms come with a breakfast but sadly no heat lamps resulting in cold food every morning. Our group of 4 ate an evening meal but they forgot my wife's order. When they eventually brought her steamed Lapu-Lapu fish it was raw. She got mad and left. The serving staff need coaching on how to work in a restaraunt. We booked 2 separate excursions. The first one said it included snorkeling but we were shocked to learn at the pier that you have to rent the snorkels. The 2nd excursion was a 3.5 glittering firefly tour. When the driver showed up a half hour late the hotel phoned the tour company to ensure it would be extended 30 mins but we were told no, it was our loss. Finally, the swimming cold is usually empty due to the water being very cold regardless of the time of day we tried to swim. I would not recommend staying at Sunlight Guest Hotel Coron.

We do not recommend this property for several reasons:
The staff and management were unhelpful, especially during times when we needed assistance the most. Customer service was severely lacking.
The rates are quite pricey compared to what you actually get in terms of service and amenities.
The location is too far from the town center, making it inconvenient if you want to dine at other restaurants or explore the area. You’ll need to take a ride to get anywhere.
The hotel itself looks outdated and in need of renovation. It doesn’t live up to the expectations set by its pricing. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience, and we wouldn’t stay ever here again.

I had a great time in this hotel ,booked a standard room but it’s so spacious and relaxing , the water runs perfectly aswell .I loved the vibe and aesthetic designs everywhere inside and can see beautiful sunsets .it’s also close to the shops, you can get on tricycles , sometimes I just walk it only takes 20 mins, if you’re an active person like me . Aside from that ,I also loved the service of their staff very friendly and approachable mam Kezziel who looks after the guests at breakfast she’s so sweet when she served and chef Abner at the egg station , who makes the best omelettes ♥️👌they akways welcome me with bright smiles😊 everyday . Ofcourse the people at the front desk too, whole staff were amazing, we were treated with care♥️I highly recommend this hotel , would wanna book again in the future👌

We read a few mixed reviews so didn’t know what to expect (especially for the price!) but we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is really nice and so well maintained and clean. The breakfast is good, American pancakes, fruit, cereal, toast, omelettes and some rice dishes. The pool area is lovely with a great view! The only thing I would say is don’t book a twin room, it’s a bit too small for two people and your cases! We moved to a double room and it was so much better! Staff are all so happy and friendly. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the restaurants and a 5 minute trike ride for 50php. Better than being right where the restaurants are as they don’t have swimming pool hotels there and I could imagine it being noisy. You can walk to the hot springs from the hotel too if you fancy a walk, took us about 30 mins (walking slow in the heat)

We decided to visit this restaurant as it was listed as one of the best Chinese restaurants in Coron. The food was simply delicious and the service was 10 over 10.
Sweet and sour pork and calamares are a must in this place.
My only suggestion is to include deserts ASAP.

The receptionist put us on a room next to the elevator and construction room, when there are plenty of better rooms available. We had to ask for another room but it was difficult to talk to the receptionist's standoffish attitude. Almost all the receptionist has a bad attitude. But the food staff and house keeping peeps are fabulous and nice :)
