The pool area is very nice and definitely the highlight of the hotel for me. The rooms look like they come straight from the 1990's in terms of design, which is strange because this hotel is apparently only a few years old. They were reasonably clean in the visible areas (under the bed was another story). We had excellent WiFi signal in the room, which was nice. Avoid the restaurant/bar. The cocktails are of very uneven quality. The breakfast was quite poor, rice with an egg and a choice between hot dog, hungarian, or longaniza. After tasting them all between our group, the meats ranged from passable (hot dog), to unappetising (longaniza) and outright disgusting (hungarian).
I will make a review about the booking last December 8-12 here in this hotel , For me and my family , unfortunately my flight got cancelled ,, But ,, It was a nice conversation with corinn the marketting manager where she allows me to refund my booking ,, But i let my family to stay in their hotel for 3 nights and for 2 rooms ,, It was an excellent stay ,, And relaxing stay based on the pictures and recommendation of my mama and papa ,, I will definitely come back to this beautifull place ,, I hope no more cancelled flight 😂😂😂😂
The rooms come with a breakfast but sadly no heat lamps resulting in cold food every morning. Our group of 4 ate an evening meal but they forgot my wife's order. When they eventually brought her steamed Lapu-Lapu fish it was raw. She got mad and left. The serving staff need coaching on how to work in a restaraunt. We booked 2 separate excursions. The first one said it included snorkeling but we were shocked to learn at the pier that you have to rent the snorkels. The 2nd excursion was a 3.5 glittering firefly tour. When the driver showed up a half hour late the hotel phoned the tour company to ensure it would be extended 30 mins but we were told no, it was our loss. Finally, the swimming cold is usually empty due to the water being very cold regardless of the time of day we tried to swim. I would not recommend staying at Sunlight Guest Hotel Coron.…
Sunlight hotel extremely disappointed us on our honeymoon with friends. Our travel agent booked three waterfront rooms for six people four months in advance. The Hotel tried to give us two rooms at check-in. The hotel refused to give us the three rooms paid for. My wife had to call the travel agent who then had to call the hotel to fix it. The hotel then gave us three rooms with the view of the slums. The hotel said it was bay view. Nice waterfront rooms not!
Probably this hotel used to be one the high end hotels of coron, but nowadays the rooms are tiny, look (and smell) a bit old and waking up with the look on cockroaches.....100eu is just too much. Food is great same as the sunset. Staff is friendly.
We booked premiere room 4 nights on Christmas, sunlight free upgrade us to pool+sea view deluxe room because I want balcony .Staff r nice, friendly n helpful, room not big but enough , comfortable, clean n safe. Smoking area on left side of swimming pool ,face to their own jetty.Gym room on top floor. After we landed,we go to their airport vip room n wait mini bus there, only 200p or 250p(forgot)/person from airport to sunlight.(35mins).Vip room will give a bottle water to hotel guest. Sunlight hv another hotel on a island,u can book a day trip to there. laundry-at least 3 kg,as I remember,it cost 400p,clean n not expensive. Breakfast -very few choices, but not bad. Dinner-ok but added msg and a little but heavy.,not expensive. PS. Seems some standard n premiere room face two seasons's wall, only deluxe room n deluxe suite hv balcony n sea/pool+sea view. Suggest to sunlight- it will be much better if sunlight give a glass welcome drinks to hotel guest.only 6 sundeck in swimming pool, not enough.A big terrace on 3/F but nothing there ,if a small jacuzzi n some sundeck there,it will be much better. …
In Coron for a few days, chose this hotel because of availability, price, decent location and what's being offered. ROOM Decent sized room - king/queen bed with space on both sides, desk, closet. Bathroom a little cramped between closing the door and the toilet but not a big deal. Depending on your luck you could be either facing the water side, or you look at the back of another building (believe it's Two Seasons next door?) out of your window. Noise wasn't an issue at all except for one night when there were people doing karaoke close to midnight - granted it was on a weekend but still could affect you if you're a light sleeper. Room is clean and A/C is consistent. Water pressure is good in the shower. No complaints. LOCATION Hotel is located just outside the main "downtown" strip where most of the shops and eateries are. By tricycle it's about 5-10min into town and they're always roaming around at all hours so no worries about catching one. If you want to walk, it's about 20ish minutes which isn't too bad either. There is one restaurant about 1min walk east, a scooter rental across the street, and the hotspring is about 15-20min tricycle ride away further east. To the west you're about 15min ride away from the brand new McDonald's which sort of serves as the outer marker of town before you venture out. OTHER AREAS The breakfast buffet - service is good and plenty of food. However it seems to tilt a bit towards Chinese rather than local? From what I can tell there are quite a few Chinese tourists staying there (maybe tour groups?) so I get why. Would've liked some more local options that's all. Airport shuttle - unless you booked directly with the hotel (by phone, in person, or via their website) chances are the airport shuttle service fee is NOT included in your room price. Check the fine print of your reservation, if it doesn't say airport shuttle included, then you will be paying it for both ways at checkout. Not an issue with charging it just wanted to point out that it's not free unless your direct booking explicitly states such. Staffs - staffs encountered were all professional and courteous. CONCLUSION Would consider this hotel again next time in the area…
our flight in and out went well. we stayed for 5 days, first 2 days we were lucky that the weather was great not too sunny but last 2 days not counting the last day we are stuck in the hotel. The hotel was clean, lobby, restaurant, room. no complain. The hotel Guest receptionist is SUPERB!!! she will do her best to accomodate your request. Pool is well maintained and the price of the food is competitive, breakfast is always a buffet. transfer from/to airport is also on time. i rated this as Very Good cause the Gym equipments during my stay are broken and i dont think they have plans to fix it. But overall ill recommend this hotel. you look around and this is one of the decent hotels in the area. it is besides Two Seasons hotel, the only thing that separates them is the wall :)…
Great service, great buffet in lunch, great breakfast, great tours, clean and good air conditoned rooms, little hard bed, but ok. And Coron Palawan, best choice in Philipppines. We stayed 2 nights, all works more then better. Free pick up and drop off to hotel from airport.
It was raining hard when we came, seems like lots of flight were canceled days before and so i was guessing there’s probably a lot of room reservation cancellations as well. So, not that I dont like the room that was reserved for us but I went to the front, just guessing if there’s cancelled reservations for the other side rooms facing the water. You’ll never knew until you ask. I was glad I did, I got the nice view.
