very nice and accommodating hotel! staff are very friendly. you get the feels that you are away from the city while still getting a nice and modern room- which i love. the pool is also really great! water is perfect for cooling off yet not too cold. the resto- manggis also at the hotel is very convenient and just delicious! they offer a lot of homemade and locally produced dishes. the location is also perfect. it's only around 5 mins to the town which has a lot of restaurants and bars. overall, i highly recommend vela terraces!!
Kudos to all the staff especially Ms Camille who patiently assisted us with all our queries re: accommodations etc. From our arrival, check-in up to the departure. To Sir Marvin who managed to provide all our needs and requests during our stay. They made our 4days vacation great, an excellent accommodation completes a memorable once in a lifetime vacation. Thank you so much Vela for warm service and hospitality. We'll surely go back and refer your place .
I had the best experience here with about 10 of my friends! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The wifi was good in our room! The food at mangiis restaurant was served fresh (the corned beef breakfast is a must try) daily too and conveniently located downstairs. The rooms were tidy and very clean. From the second we walked into vela terraces we were greeted with refreshments and smiles. I felt incredibly safe here as well seeing a security guard on site for those late nights arriving back to your room. I also liked that it was pretty simple to hitch a ride around on the local tricycles for those looking to venture out and explore local bars and food spots. The owners were incredibly hospitable as well and treated us like family. I can't say enough good things about my experience. I will be back and you should definitely book your stay here.…
I booked Vela back in 2021 but due to pandemic, my booking is just sitting there. Finally went last February to use my 3 day booking at this lovely hotel! Best staff! Best service! Best food! Made our trip easy and relaxing and enjoyable! Recommending this whoever wants to stay in the middle of Coron Town! Order their food everyday! it is amazing!
Hotel - great and clean rooms, the pool is also good & ambiance was great! The wifi in our room was strong. There's TV, Cabinet, a mini-refrigerator and a nook! Bonus: our room has an overlooking view of the mountain and Coron itself --- Though, it took a lot of stairs for us to go to our room, on a positive note, we got to exercise our legs in preparation for our hike to Mt. Tapyas! Hahaha The hotel itself is also a great location -- quiet environment and near the town proper. Food at Manggi's - DELICIOUS! 👌 generous servings. Also, their pizzas are bomb!!! Staff - Very mindful and accommodating. 🥺❤ They're so kind and provides everything we need. They even gave us a freebie tumbler! Thank you so much Ma'am & Sir for assisting us! Da best kayo! Also, We got to talk to the owner of the hotel and they're so nice and very warm to us, guests. Will definitely book here again when I come back to Coron. Over-all experience: 10/10 💯💯💯 Thank you so much, Vela Terraces Hotel!…
Vela Terraces is the best hotel Coron!! All the staff properly followed COVID protocols and were very accommodating. It was also easy to contact the front desk as you could just text them for any request. Moreover, the rooms are so nice, clean and comfortable!! I slept like a baby for 4 nights as it felt like I was sleeping in clouds. Furthermore, the wifi and signal is really great here!! Other hotel's I checked-in to had no signal at all which was inconvenient. Overall, Vela Terraces provided great services and met all my needs when staying in a hotel. We will surely come back and check-in again.
I had a pretty pleasant stay here! The staff really went out of their way to make sure we felt welcomed and comfortable! Our last night was my bf’s birthday, I wanted to surprise him with a cake and balloons. Most 4-5 star hotels have complimentary cakes and can decorate the room for you but I didn’t expect the service and help I got from the hotel staff. They helped me plan everything! they contacted a baker in the island, helped me place and order and had the cake delivered to our room. The staff also decorated the room with balloon and happy birthday signs on the wall. They did this free of charged, I only had to pay for the cake. They waited until we returned from our tour that night. One staff ran to the room and lit the candles while we were just a few minutes behind. My bf and I were actually quite surprised! It was so thoughtful of them, they really went above and beyond. They were all sooo incredibly nice and accommodating during our whole stay! They really made this place better!…
We stayed at the Vela Terraces for our first time in Coron. The hotel staff are friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is a must is very good value. The only thing that lets this hotel down is the steps up to the top rooms, but the rooms themselves are clean and very well maintained. I would 100% stay at this hotel again!
Vela Terrace was a great location for our stay in Coron. AC was great, service was awesome (Also big shout out to Vincent for his excellent service every time we were dining at Manggis Restaurant), and food tasted amazing. Would book with them again.
We stayed for 4 nights. It’s a pretty little hotel in a nice quiet location about a 10 min walk from the town. Walking into town we saw many hotels and thought we picked the best one for our budget. The staff were all very friendly. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. I recommend bring a travel pillow though. The room has aircon. Everyone is given portable WiFi with a data cap. This seemed to work ok and we didn’t run out of data. There is a tv, though the picture image was grainy. There is a small swimming pool, you can take a dip to cool off though one stroke and you will hit the side. Unfortunately the pool does not get the sun, so very cold and can’t lie by the pool. There isn’t much to see in the town. We had to pay everything in cash at hotel and in town. There are ATMs in town. There is no safe in the room. We went on one excursion with 3 stops. One sunken Japanese gun boat, one coral garden and pass island. The best food we have had in the Philippines was on this trip cooked by the guides on the boat. If only we could find street food like this in the markets. We hired the boat just for ourselves for just a little extra money rather than doing group tour. The overall travel time on the boat felt like a couple of hours each way. Pass island was beautiful though we only stayed there for about 90 mins before heading back to Coron. It would have been nice to spend longer there to relax. The journey home on the boat felt like torture as they drove so fast water continuously sprayed on us. I recommend bring a poncho. We struggled to find food we liked everywhere in Philippines. A lot of people recommended the food at the funny lion. We went there one evening and it’s a beautiful hotel with nice vibe but the food was average at best and felt over priced considering what we could get for same price in UK. If you have midnight craving there is a 24hr McDonald’s a 5 min walk away.…
