From the moment you walk thru their clean lobby, you are met with very warm Filipino hospitality. Warm smiles and respectful language. The front desk staff are very helpful, always attending to our every question or request promptly. The resort is truly fantastic, not too big so that it is more cozy while the rooms fronting the poolside are very spacious, clean, comfortable and equipped with wifi, amenities that are beyond my expectations like robes, slippers, pool towels, instant coffee and kettle, sanitation needs, etc. The staff helped us navigate our way around town by calling our trike rides, recommending the best restaurants around, and even setting us up for island hopping, etc. The resort staff pay attention to what we need and that made a lot of difference in making our vacation not just wonderful but over-all fantastic.…
My family and I visited in July 2018. Not 2020. Facilities were clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Agree with some of the other reviews that although staff were friendly, they are robotic, and are stuck in a box. Not a lot of flexibility. Could also use a change/upgrade in their checkin and checkout processes to simplify it and make it quicker. Not sure if things have changed but they should also start using credit card payments and catch up with the times. We were asked to do a bank transfer or pay cash. 🤦🏽♀️
I made reservations for my family and I to stay at this resort in January 2020 for a July 2020 stay. The reservations were made through hotels.com. When COVID hit the USA in March and travel restrictions were put in place, we hoped things would get resolved quickly. I called regarding our reservation in May and was told it was too early to discuss refunds due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID. I called back in late June and was DENIED a refund. I was forced to go to my bank and file a dispute, which was also denied. I just have to say that any company that would deny a refund and not offer a refund or a reschedule during a global pandamenic is TERRIBLE. No condieration that travel restrictions from the USA to the Philippines prevented us from arriving. Even if travel restrictions allowed us to fly to the Philippines, the 14 day mandatory quarantine would have made us miss the check-in date and entire planned duration. My family will be returning to Coron one day and rest assured we will not be staying at this resort or doing business with hotels.com. Neither will any of our family or friends. I urge everyone to consider my experience when thinking about doing business with this resort and hotels.com…
Great 3 nights here-definitely made the most out of the great pool. Really enjoyed our pool side room which had everything you need-with a bathroom (mainly shower) that was a standout in comparison to other accommodation. Breakfast & bar were good and very professional staff in general.
We were told at arrival that our room type, Premier Room, was not available and they downgraded us to a Superior Room which usually costs 50% less than the room we booked. No compensation was offered except a 10% discount for the pool bar...laughable! We spoke to various people but all they would do is smile and say sorry while not addressing the issue at all. This kind of stressful experience is not what I want to have during a vacation. Especially the fact that the staff didn't care at all is upsetting. Too bad we have to go through the booking provider to get our money back. Cannot recommend the property due to this.
Had one of the best time here! visited and stayed here for a few days and it was splendid, hospitality was top notch and the staffs were so friendly. Definitely will br back here in the future 👌🏼👌🏼
Breakfast was chines Bed was separated Room was clean Resturant food was not mach to the price burgees was burned Totally expensive and good for my wife who don’t like to join outdoor activities and more enjoy swimming pools . Too many Chinese.
This place was a very budget friendly resort with a nice pool and amenities for its guests. We stayed for a total of 3 nights and enjoyed every moment. The staff was very friendly and accommodating with some of the special requests we had.
This is a good hotel with great potential but too many rules. Pros: - Clean and comfortable rooms worth 4 stars with comfortable high thread count bed sheets. - Spacious bathroom with great toiletries including hair conditioner (very much needed after coming back from the ocean!) - Quiet rooms away from traffic noise, and hustle bustle of coron town. - Beautiful looking and Instagram worthy pool. - Free transport to and from coron airport Cons: - Check-in took 30 minutes and they were inflexible of offering an alternative insisting they only have one queen size bed left in the superior wing. The only alternative is to pay for upgrades. - Next, I was charged 2000 PP on my credit card for verification purposes. My bank confirmed it was charged instead of verification. Was offered no alternatives other than to pay cash which is pointless because I was leaving Philippines in 2 days. - I just started my breakfast and my tour arrived early. I asked if I can take the bread and butter sandwich which I already prepared, but they did not allow and would rather throw it away! - Asked for extra water at the counter and was told they only allow 2 small bottles a day per room, and front desk was even trying to call the housekeeping to verify if they have replenish 2 bottles for the day. I told them 350ml each is simply not enough. Offered to top up water at the restaurant instead. - Room service was additional 10%, I gave an additional tip but they forgot to bring me fork and knife. - Staff are nice enough but sometimes unfriendly and robotic, contrary to the smiley, and helpful service at other hotels I experienced in the Philippines. - On the last day, staff called me at 9.18am and woke me up to inform me that breakfast will close at 9.30am. I wasn’t informed of this earlier. Scrambled to the restaurant to grab some food before my flight. - Aircon was alternating between warm and cold air. Wasn’t a huge issue though. - The above could be caused by strict management culture. Management must be super strict with staff, hence they are strict with guests. Basically, guests have to adhere strictly to management rules with no flexibility. The lack of hospitality made me feel unwelcome. For the reasons above, I will not recommend this hotel if you have higher than usual expectations. If you have normal basic needs, this hotel is more than enough. Hotel is behaving as though they are tight on budget, but marketing it as a luxurious hotel. Note to management: Hotel has great potential, be more accommodating to guests! This is not a budget hotel. Close the gap between your luxurious rooms and below average hospitality. …
My husband and I along with my niece and her fiancé stayed in Soleil for 4 days. We got 2 suites and really liked the room. They were clean and despite being by the pool, it was pretty quiet. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. When we went for our tour, they had towels ready to take with us. We moved to a different hotel to complete our week long stay to be close to the water. When we checked out, we were ready to just get a tricycle but they offered to drive us to our next hotel. We will definitely come back to Soleil.
