Detailed Reviews
Dive link resort was definitely a great base to explore the Coron area. The staff there was extremely helpful and organised lots of fun sightseeing and diving trips for us. They even took us to the local clinic and lots of different drug stores when my friend was unwell whilst we were there.
The resort is actually on an island called Uson but they provide a bangka to get across to Coron Town for free if you need to go over there or if you want to go for dinner. The resort was quiet and calm and had a really beautiful view over the bay. I took some really beautiful pictures of the amazing sunsets you get there.
The food is good in the restaurant and you can order food for a packed lunch if you are going away at the weekends. The rooms are a little run down and could use a make over but they are clean and fine for a weekend, they also have an intercom for ordering drinks to your room which was nice. The resort has a pool which was nice for chilling out after a day of diving and the also have a karaoke room if you fancy a bit of singing. You can also use the resort's kayaks for free there to explore the bay.
I will most probably go back to the resort with my husband as I enjoyed the trip there so much.

The resort is a 10-minute boat ride from Coron. The resort offers free transfers by boat to and FROM Coron between 7:00-19:00.
You have a choice between beachside cottages which are spacious and has its own veranda or rooms. The resort has a pool and you can use its kayaks for free. The restaurant serves Ok food.
It's a good alternative to staying in Coron town proper as it is more quiet and offers greater privacy and also offers the possibility of swimming in the ocean which is not possible if staying in Coron town.
The resort can arrange diving with Coron Divers.
The staff are very friendly and professional.

Rooms : These are basic with extremely thin walls so you can hear pretty much every move your neighbours make. Also, some don't seem to have hot water no matter how long you run the shower (10+ mins). Good aircon, fans and a western style flush toilet.
Food : Small menu and a lot of the items don't seem to be available. When I turned up at 9pm for some food (restaurant closes at 10) I was told by several staff I was "late" and had to complain to get anything. Breakfast is very basic (eggs, toast, ham and rice).
Security : Poor. There was a break-in next to me during my stay and other rooms showed damage (forced doors badly repaired, torn netting, etc). If you stay there put all valuables in the office for safe-keeping as the windows don't lock and can be easily opened from the outside.
Location : Great. Coron itself is crowded, noisy and very hot at this time of year. Dive Link is a much quieter and there's a lovely breeze in the evening.
Transport : There's a free shuttle service to Coron (takes 5 mins) but it isn't always available. Also, even if you arrange a pickup time at the end of the evening there's no guarantee they'll turn up and waits of 30 mins + are common. They also don't like moving the boat for one person so you might be made to wait for other passengers (depending on the captain). If you have a compatible mobile you can text for a boat but it still seems to take about 30 mins anyway.
Staff : Lots and very friendly and keen but they have a variable grasp of English.
Electricity : Only available between 5 pm and 9 am (that is correct !) as they run a generator. Considering the frequent power failures in Coron that's not bad. Just remember to charge everything overnight, cameras, laptops, etc.

Imagine yourself in a foreign land arriving at your destination after a delayed flight, cutting it close to sundown. The promised roundtrip airport transfer is no where to be found. Luckily a van en route to a different resort is kind enough to contact your resort for you and drive you through the jungle, across a cattle grid and around the mountains to the boat dock so you can board a little boat to your resort. However, because your own resorts transportation "didn't make it" you still have to pay this van driver cash. Well this rickety boat's captain has no words for you but you just hope for the best because the view is amazing. Well it's getting dark by the time you reach the resort. The boat guy drops your luggage off and leaves you to fend for yourself on this deserted island with a row of dilapidated bamboo mini houses. The one inhabitant of this strange place is a frazzled lady who kindly let's you know she is just housekeeping and the owner is not on the island at this time. Thank the Lord for cell phones because she calls the manager and at least leads us to our little house. You walk in and don't understand why none of your chargers work when you plug in your dying smartphone, and then you slowly realize that the A/C docent work either and none of the lights... there must be no electricity. You search for the maid but she's nowhere to be found.
The free WiFi of course is nonecistent. How could it when there isn't electricity. Finally as if God miraculously heard your frantic prayers, the lights flicker and the air conditioning struggles to power on. You wander over to the main lobby/ restaurant and hope that these ants parading into your room aren't fire ants and that the mosquitos don't carry west Nile.
The manager (actually we never found out what his role in this whole charade is because the guy never introduced himself formally) told us over the phone that he's on the main island with guests and the WiFi only works at the restaurant. After multiple attempts to connect, no luck. Yet as soon as the guy arrives at the restaurant suddenly a network is found. He probAbly forgot.to tell us that the WiFi port was actually in his pocket. Just like he forgot to send our transport and forgot to say hello when he walked in. Clearly annoyed, he proceeds to slam things around and she. We ask for the WiFi password only points to the wall. Does this guy only know how.to talk on the phone or what?!
At this point your are so hungry you can't even think. Thank goodness the signs says the restaurant closes at 10pm and it's only 7 pm. You ask this man if there are any menus available. In Tagalog he asks the cook in the back room if there is any food left. You here the cook reply "no" in tagalog, followed by an uncomfortable silence. It dawns on you that you and your companions must be truly screwed. It's not pitch dark and the town is a rickety boat ride across the dark sea, and the airport is an even longer van ride away. We are stuck here. Thankfully the "manager"(?) Offers us either some pork chops or a free boat transfer into town. We take the boat ride into town over the pork chops that night. We survived the night and managed to pack our bags the next morning before the resort turned the electricity back off at 6 am. We took the earliest boat and escaped this awful place in one piece, but heed my warning! Book this resort with caution!

Worse experience ever!!! The rooms were so filthy, service was terrible. We talked to the manager, Robert, and he was so rude to us, he didn't even manage to offer an apology. Never coming back to this place again!

We booked a couple of nights at Dive Link as a bit of an escape from the 500 peso backpacker guesthouse we had just spent a few days in. Throughout our travels in the Philippines we have stayed at places ranging from 450-2500 pesos per night, so have a pretty good idea of what we should be getting at a price point. Now, Dive Link comes in at over 4000 pesos per night so we had high expectations. The service leaves a lot to be desired in this place. There is a sign in the room saying "place this card on the bed if you want the sheets changed" and another saying "if you want fresh towels, place your towels on the floor." We duly put the towels on the floor but when we came back from Coron that afternoon, our room hadn't been touched. The bin was overflowing, there was no toilet paper, and the towels we left on the floor were still on the floor. We spoke to Toto the manager (?) about this and he said that he'd send someone up. A member of staff then shortly arrived with toilet paper and towels and just handed them to us. When I asked if she could empty the bin as well she got noticeably short with me as if I'd asked her to do something way beyond reason. It's not unreasonable to expect the room to be cleaned, toilet paper and dirty glasses to be replaced etc. We spoke once again to Toto who said he'd get the room cleaned, but that they don't normally do it after an "incident" where a guest whose room was cleaned had items go missing. If this is their policy (which is ridiculous) they need to inform guests. I don't feel as guests paying this sort of money you should have to specify everything you want them to do. The next day we once again had to ask for the loo roll to be replenished.
Other than this lack of service, the whole place is dated and reminded me of the abandoned Dharma initiative settlement in Lost! The path to the rooms is lined with upturned bottles which I'm sure looked nice when they were first installed but they just look dirty now. There were also quite a few which were smashed but still lodged in the soil, just waiting for its next trip victim to be glassed. The room is technically air conditioned but the unit in the room was noisy and useless. We ended up sticking with the fan, which incidentally was mounted on a wall made of thin wooden board which amplified the noise of the vibrations significantly.
Breakfast is included and was ok on the first day but on the second day we arrived half an hour into the hour long breakfast service and they had run out of scrambled eggs and fruit, and said they weren't putting any more out. The food which remained was all cold. We had some pretty decent food in the evening at the restaurant though, and prices are in line with what you'd pay in Coron, so that's a positive.
As other reviewers have stated, there is no beach to speak of and they advise you not to go in the water as it is murky and you run the risk of stepping on a sea urchin or a lion fish. They do offer Island Hopping as an alternative, but for 2000 pesos per person instead of the 650 you'd pay when booking on the mainland.
On the way to our room the bell boy pointed out the signposted trek to the summit of the island which we though would be worth doing. Unfortunately the signs cease about half way up, leaving you to find your own way! If willing to brave it it's worth the view though, but it's no mean feat as it's pretty steep in places with no path to speak of after the signs stop.
The setting for the hotel is great and the transfers to and from the mainland are good and frequent (albeit charged at 100 pesos per person after 7pm), and the hotel is generally peaceful (probably because most other people agree with me that it's not worth the money they charge!) In conclusion, they either need to up their game or half their prices.

I stayed here for two nights to have a relaxing break away from Sea Dive Resort in Coron, and whilst the break was good, the resort is just a second class tatty guest house.
Rooms are boring, have old foam matresses, cheap sheets and bathrooms that are in need of a little maintenance. There is also a major problem with ants and other insects eating the bamboo walls. Just as well it was only two nights as I couln't stand a third.
The few members of staff tried to help, but they were untrained and as far as I could see, the manager only visited occasionally.
The food was average at best, but again the waitresses tried hard to please.
The only saving grace was the dive coordinator asshe is a seasoned professional who organised everything with care and was attentive to all the whims of our group and of others thare at the time.
Would I go there again....NO

I don't really write blogs but with this resort I feel I have to, if only to warn you guys who are planning to take a vacation and have a good time. My friends and I (5 of us) stayed in Dive Link for 3 days and 2 nights. On our first hour, we literally started counting the hours of our stay. Hmmm, where should I start?... FOOD--they say it's buffet. But for breakfast, they serve only a platter of fried eggs (about 12 fried eggs?), a platter of cheap ham, a platter of some-kind-of-fish, and a platter of rice. They serve that for around 30 or so people, and DO NOT REPLENISH--except for the rice. So the guests are literally running to fall in line and get food--nag-uunahan. Same goes for lunch--they serve the some-kind-of-fish, rubbery (no kidding) squid and some-kind-of-vegetable. The food tastes awful...And you'd think they would serve fresh fish and/or seafood because this is an island resort??.. ROOM--We stayed in supposedly one of the better cottages they have. Our cottage has 2 rooms. There were 3 of us staying in one of the rooms which has only 2 single beds so we requested for an extra bed. The extra bed never came. The room smelled of some strong poison-disinfectant-whatever during our 3-day stay. The bathroom door is rotting badly. And... brace yourself...while I was taking a shower (there's no hot water, contrary to their claim--and there's only one shower knob) THE TOILET BOWL OVERFLOWED!!! Nobody's using it. And the bathroom is only about 1.5 x 3 meters in size so the toilet bowl water flowed and washed my feet. (Can you still take more of this?) We reported this to the "management"; some guy came and checked the bathroom but it was never fixed. Also, inside the room, there is a small closet in front of the beds. Beside the closet is a small mirror (fits your face), and under that mirror is...tadaa!!! a sink.
TOUR--Included in the package was "trekking" and a trip to the Giant Cross. We were told to ride their boat, so we did, with some other guests. Then we were literally abandoned at the port. We were never told where to go. No guide came to meet us at the port, so we just took a tricycle, explored the place, and tried to have fun despite the hassle. The following day, during the island hopping and the trip to Kayangan Lake, etc., their boat conked out. We were stranded for about an hour or so, but well, that part is not entirely their fault so let's not include that...
STAFF--we never saw them smile. They never said good morning, afternoon or evening. When we pointed out to one staff a plate on the buffet table that has a small cockroach and a black gooey thing on it, he just wiped off the cockroach with his hand and left the plate on the table. He took the plate away only after I told him to do so. On the last day of our stay, they called us on the intercom at 10am. (Yes, there's an intercom! But it's installed outside the rooms! Check-out time is 12noon, but they called at 10am to ask if we could check out earlier because they still have to clean the rooms for the next batch of guests. Duhh?? Ok, we still tried to be nice and checked out at 11am--settled the bill etc. After we've paid, nobody paid attention to us anymore--we carried our own bags and luggages.
Thank goodness Busuanga is so beautiful that we were still able to enjoy our trip despite our horrible experiences at Dive Link. Unfortunately, with us was an American friend who thought that such type of service is normal among Filipinos. Now, are you still willing to try out this resort? Good luck :-)

My husband and I were here from October 19 to 22 on a full package with the resort, and we can't give them anything less but a 2-thumbs up! The resort is located in Uson Island, just a 10-minute boat ride from the Coron town proper. Nothing to worry about their location, as the resort has 4 shuttle boats to ferry their guests should they wish to go to town...best of all, its FREE of charge!
The bungalows are simple but air-conditioned, and definitely with clean toilets and showers. The meals were great! Except for breakfast, which was either the Filipino or American breakfast, lunch and dinner were always served with soup, vegetables, meat and fish, and a dessert!
But what made this resort truly a gem of Coron is the very respectful and friendly staff! We would like to thank Hazel, the assistant manager at their Q.C. booking office, who was very accommodating; Gina; who welcomed as at the airport with her addicting smile; Long, the operations manager, who always made sure that his guests were well taken cared of; Anthony, the F&B supervisor, who even went out of his way to provide me with an apple as I was suffering from LBM after eating at Mang Inasal while we were still in Metro Manila; Irene and Mary Orchid, who always served our meals with their smiles; and most of all, Mang Nelson and Solomon, the boatman and guide respectively, whom we bonded with, during our island hopping!

I have ended up in Dive link after being for 3 days in the "La-natura resort" which got fully booked so I had to move to it for 2 extra night. I paid more and got much less!!!
The rooms are dirty and old. everything is broken and the things that were fixed look like a 3 year old child fixed it. There is not beach (well there is but not usable) and for everything you will need to book ahead and take the taxi boat to the main island since they have nothing on ground.
The price is outrageous as for what you get for it. you can find cheaper and better places in Coron. so if you have a choice (unlike me) - choose somewhere else.
