Room is okay for basic necessities like bed, tv, ac. No hot shower. The staff in front desk when we asked how to get hot water for our noodles was rude. Will not go back at this inn. And will not recommend this to anyone.
We rented two rooms. They gave us extra beds because we were a group of 6 (3 in each room). The room was spacious and beds were good enough but I noticed that it made me itch a little. It might be bed bugs but it didn’t bother me that much though. Our room was cold and cozy but the other room that we rented which was room number 3 has a faulty air-conditioning. Our friends were complaining that it will become hot sometimes. The comfort room was big and the good thing is it’s not clogging. The staff was nice and accommodating but some of them sometimes gives wrong information and they are not coordinated because there was an instance where our driver was looking for us and they said that we already left but we were just in our room. No one cared to check. The cafe is open for breakfast only. They have limited supply of food and the menu is limited as well. Better come early to get served. It was a great stay nonetheless.…
I think this hotel is built 2017 which could explain why it was so clean. When you're backpacking in the Philippines you're used to dirty and smelly bathrooms but this was an exception. Superclean and big room with good beds and air con for a lower price compared to hotels around. There is a construction site beside it(should be finished during 2018) but they stopped working around 10 pm so it didn't bother us too much. I'll definitely recommend staying here.
Stayed for only 1 day since this is near Alona Beach. This hotel is 2 minutes walk from the beach. There is a very small alley if you will be coming/going to/from the Beach. Perfect if you are looking for a quiet place in Alona Beach. I rented an A/C Room good for 2 @ 1,000 pesos with private CR and Cable TV. Place is clean, however, linens and beddings need to be upgraded. Bring insect repellant lotion. Owners are helpful, if you want to do Island Hopping you can book it from them. Wifi is good as well. Things to improve- Signages outside the Hotel, upgrade bedding. Over-all, a decent place to stay.
I first enjoyed staying here. Room looked clean and I had my own bathroom for a low price. But after two nights of bad sleep I found out I've been bitten by bed bugs!! Don't go there, you'll be itchy for a week!
This place is great! I couldn't find one bad thing to say about it. Really close to the beach; very clean; the shower is excellent by Philippine standards; the wifi and air conditioning are reliable; and above all, the staff are friendly and welcoming and full of helpful information. Exceptional value for money - would recommend this place to anyone.
3 minutes walk to the beach, great Inn, polite n helpful staff, able to assist all the activity with a reasonable price(compared with others SP). No hot water supply, no free bottle water, no fridge, lot of mosquito during evening. But can ask for hot water and mosquito repellers from staff. Overall a good cottage to stay during visit.
Good place to stay in Alona beach 👍 very close to beach 🌊 and close to main road too 😜good price , very good staff , very friendly , very clean accommodation and surroundings I really enjoyed to stay here 👋
We were supposed to stay at Menchu's somewhere in the area but it's either the place is not a favorite or they have just changed the name recently, because no one in the area seems to know the hotel. Anyway, Alona Grove was introduced to us by Lito, the same person who arranged our island hopping and land tours, upon learning our desired budget for the stay. To reach this inn from the beach, you have to go through a very narrow, uphill alley beside Bird Watcher's hotel/resto. I LIKE: * The price... we paid P1,300 a night for 3pax. That's the cheapest inn near the beach, w/ aircon we could find at that time. *The proximity to the beach - Of course I would have preferred a beach front property, but given our budget... * Generally clean and spacious room with a small patio. * Very nice and courteous staff * Their cute canine 'security' (I suppose ^_^ ) I DON'T LIKE: * The dark, narrow, uphill alley we had to go through at night. We didn't experience any untoward incident there though, so I guess it's alright. * Ants in the room... We found several of them even on the bed. It didn't really bother me much personally, but of course rooms should be insect-free. * Towels... old and didn't look clean enough. * They only serve breakfast with VERY limited choices. Order at least a day in advance to make sure they have what you want. Over all I would still recommend this place to my friends who aren't really scared of a few ants. I'd just advise them to bring their own towels. :)…
Not the fanciest place but it was one of the cheapest place we could find in the area. The owner/receptionist was very nice and accommodating. She even gave us a discount since we checked in late and we checked out early the next day . She gave us the Family room with the rate of the standard room. Room was basic but it was clean. The bathroom was also clean but no hot/cold shower.
