I stayed here for 2 nights while on a dive safari, so had not personally chosen this place to stay. The safe did not work. I forgot to take my watch with me while out during the day. When we got to next location I realised my watch was missing and had been taken from my wash bag. On top of that the place stinks of mould so it’s probably really unhealthy to stay. It’s really close to an extremely loud live music bar, so it’s also very very noisy. I cannot recommend strongly enough to avoid this place like hell.

I honestly didn't expect too much of this place when I booked it. If I remember correctly, they haven't advertised their pool yet when I booked a room. I just wanted an affordable place with good reviews. Ashiyana is a beautiful and cozy place with 9 spacious rooms, dining tables and a pool. They provide pairs of slippers, clothing hangers, a safe, and small buckets (tabo and planggana) which are very useful for me. We don't have a ref in our room but it didn't really bothered us. They placed drinking water, water heater, condiments, and utensils at the hall so guests can get or use anything at any time of the day. Take note that there are only few rooms and few staff so they don't have room service -- but we are still giving 5 stars for how hospitable, polite, and accommodating the owner and the staff are. Not having a room service is not a big of a deal. But they do serve your breakfast (just go to the reception area to order) and replace your bathroom stuff as they clean up the rooms. If you need anything like a car service or a morning wake up call, just request it to who ever is at the reception area -- no worries, you got it! I thought it was a bit of a hassle that Ashiyana is a few minutes walk from the beach, but it's actually an advantage because we got the chance to check out the restaurants and different shops on our way to the beach. We had the chance to choose and compare prices. Overall, Ashiyana is a great place to stay and I would definitely recommend it. It's also one of the reasons why we had a separation anxiety from Panglao. Will book this place again when we visit Panglao the next time. ❤

I was surprised when Gina fetched us from the airport. That was a plus point for me when a management engaged to their customer. She was very friendly and accommodate our needs from our first stay to the last. All of her staff were so friendly and greeted you with smile. The hotel is not beach front. You need to walk like 10 minutes prior to get to Alona beach. Their swimming pool is a plus factor. The room is great. It's simple and basic. No tv and ref but who needs it anyway? Their bed is comfy and water is a bit low. There's no breakfast included but they offer some breakfast meal. There's a free water and other condiments outside for everyone's convenient. Overall, my experience to Ashiya-na is exceptional.

From inquiring to booking to check out, their service was flawless. I knew about Ashiya-na thru the internet as I searched for available resorts in Panglao. We went there as a group and initially wanted to stay in Dumaluan because we heard that the beach there is better compared to Alona. Since all the affordable resorts were fully booked, we agreed to stay in this unfamiliar resort. We cannot be happy and thankful enough that we did because our stay was all we wanted. Though their resort is not located beachfront, and we had to either walk or take a 2 minute tricycle ride (which they can call for you), we didn't feel that it was a hassle because staying in this resort felt like home. The owner, Ms. Gina was so warm and welcoming. She and her staff accommodated everything we needed. They even allowed us to put left over food in their fridge and heat them, they gave us ice for free and not to mention their 2 cute and friendly dogs who welcomed us as soon as we arrived - Chibi and Rain. There's free hot and cold water, utensils and they offer affordable Filipino and Continental breakfast. During our last night, we even had home body massage in the comfort of our own bed. The size of the resort is just right for tourists who want to chill and not be around too many people. Their pool with jacuzzi is right outside of our rooms where we could swim anytime most especially at night because the water is warm. We felt like we had the resort for ourselves. We obviously loved the resort, their service, Ms. Gina and her staff. We definitely recommend Ashiya-na to anyone who wants a homey-feel accommodation.

This place is amazing, the staff are amazing, the room is comfortable and clean, there's a very nice pool and jacuzzi with lots of seating an sun loungers, a free water cooler and heater. This place is great and we had an amazing stay here. The only negative is we were on the end room and the wifi was hit and miss sometimes but it works really well if you sit outside.

We loved our stay which felt at home. Gina, the owner, was more than hospitable. She let us borrow the place's motorbike, cook, and attended to us every time and promptly. Only problem was it rained and the road in front was muddy. There was some noise, too. But for the value, overall, Ashiyana is well worth it. Hope to visit again!

We were in Ashiyana 7 nights. It's very small resort (10 rooms max) but that and very nice staff makes very friendly (may be family) feeling. Comfortable rooms with very quiet air condition. Cleaned everyday. Staff was very helpfull (ex. We could put our food and beverages to their fridge). Free hot and cold water made it even better. Unfortunately the some noisy bar is very close and we were disrupted sometimes. But all Panglao is noisy and little bit crowded. Be ware if you want to rent a scooter probably they try to cheat you. Make a photos of scratches etc and ammount of fuel. I obtained a bike with almost empty tank and then they want a full back. Never leave a passport they accept ID too.

The location is good because The guest house is nearby alona beach (less than 10minutes walking). We stayed unfortunately only for one night because they didnt have any avaibilities for next nights but this charming place really worth it. Rooms are lovely and confortable with all a view on the swimming pool and jacuzzi and small garden. You can reach alona center and the beach very easily or just chill nearby the swimming pool. A The owner and staff are absolutely sweet. Do not hesitate to book here. A Very good deal for the standarts.

We stayed at this little resort for two nights. It is managed by local people and the are really friendly, polite and clean. The small pool they have makes it a relaxing place to stay if you want to stay away from the Alona Beach madness.

I am so very happy that I found Ashiyana. Gina is the owner of this quaint resort. We stayed in rooms 6 and 7 as they are connecting rooms for 3 nights. My teens stayed in room 6 which had 2 separate beds (perfect for them) and we stayed in room 7 (king size bed). The rooms were nicely decorated and very clean. They provide separate beach/pool towels in the rooms. Alona beach is a short walk. Gina had 2 new safes installed in each room. The pool is newly renovated and was nice to relax by. Gina's staff are all very sweet and true Filipina hospitality of being helpful, all smiles, and we always felt welcomed. We ate breakfast there every morning. They had good choices with very reasonable prices. Gina also arranged a pick up for me at the airport. The driver had a sign with my name and it was easy to go from the airport to Ashiyana. This is a nice, simple and clean resort with very reasonable prices. And, because it is locally owned by Gina, they provided us with attentive service. If you want a true Filipino experience near Alona Beach vs. the expensive commercially owned Henna resort, I highly recommend it. Thank you Gina for the box to safely pack my son's shells and thank you to your staff for an excellent stay. May you have a prosperous 2017! We hope to stay with you again in the future.
