Vanilla Sky Resort is a charming, newly -open Italian style hotel in Panglao, in a quiet green area at walkable distance from Alona beach (400 meters).A big and suitable pool with cascade in a beautifull tropical garden gives you the pleasure of a lovely refreshment in the warm and fair weather of this tropical island.Vanilla Sky Resort has an assorted choice of accommodations, spread over the three- storey building: family, standard rooms, and apartments. 3 standard rooms pool view twin bed, 3 standard rooms pool view double bed, 3 family lofts (4 adults) 2 Apartments (separated living room, 3 adults)They are all southwest oriented, in a very green location, overlooking the swimming pool, the garden and leisure area of the resort. They are very comfortable, quiet and bright. The décor inside the resort is very nice. The details are originally selected: style and design are by a famous Italian architect. The swimming pool has an area of 60 square meters in marble dust and a special design with curved and soft lines and different depth suitable for children and anyone who like just floating and lazing in the pool, or alternatively you can take a dip or a swim too!The leisure area has a cool feeling with a very nice ambience: you can relax in the shade of the palm and bougainvillea garden, or have a drink in the recreation area The bar offers many vanilla- flavored specialties like the famous Italian panna cotta, crepes with chocolate or vanilla, refreshing milkshake and inviting muffins with assorted flavored sauce.

We considered several hotels in Bohol and finally opted for Vanilla Sky Dive Resort, and our 4D3N stay exceeded our expectations and was faultless!! We would highly recommend Vanilla Sky for several reasons and would absolutely stay here again with no hesitation if we have the opportunity to return to Bohol in the future: - Firstly and foremost, Alessandro (Owner) and his team including Gretchen and Maria were very knowledgeable and extremely accommodating, with no request or question an inconvenience or too much to ask - Our group stayed in a combination of all room types (double, double suite and family loft) and all were very clean and spacious - The hotel facilities were great and we certainly made good use during our stay, most notably the swimming pool and football table - The food in the restaurant was very good, especially the homemade pasta and pizza - the homemade buffalo mozzarella and quality ingredients used was noticeable and the Filipino dishes was equally as good - Gretchen and Maria arranged the Countryside Tour and Island Hopping Tours for us which were throughly enjoyable, and also coordinated Scooters at short notice - The location of Vanilla Sky is perfect for visiting Alona Beach and the many local shops and restaurants If you are considering staying at Vanilla Sky, then consider no more and just go ahead and make the reservation - you will not be disappointed!!

a review for a great price service balance . From the booking to the check out, this Italian own establishment worth the visit. We had the privilege to be hosted in one of their suit room , a peaceful area where resting is a key! Pool, great restaurant , topnotsch customer service , smiling and warm welcoming staff .. there ain’t big challenge enough for this team. Massage also can be done in your room ;) snorkeling , scuba dive and so on. You guessed it , this is the place to go to once you are in Bohol! Cheers to the staff and the Italian owner !

Average. The rooms are clean but basic considering the price. The main pro would be the restaurant, the dinners there were lovely, especially the pizzas, they are delicious with home made buffalo mozzarella! The breakfast however was awful but as its included in the price I guess you cant complain. The staff throughout the resort are all friendly and helpful.

Looks like this hotel was built sometime in 1980-es and it pretty much remains in that times. Very little upgrading or renovation was done since. Its location is a bit far away from everything unless you are ok and fit enough to walk for 10 min on a busy road in heat and humidity. Otherwise take a tuk-tuk for 100 php one way. There is a short cut to Alona beach and everything else but it ends in a "private property - do not tresspass" sign although you can still walk through there, very steep, made out of the rock stairs lead to the beginning of Alona Beach, a lot of rocks there - watch your step ! I would not advise to walk there in a darkness. Some good restaurants are there on Alona Beach, money changers, many locals offering tours - i booked with some of them, it was very good, especially one guy, his name is Peter - he makes very good arrangements. Electricity goes off quite often in that area although not for long. Room amenities are not bad but during my stay hot water box in the shower broke and had to be fixed. Then internet router for my room broke too, i checked out before they could repair it. Staff is nice and helpful there and the food in the restaurant is lovely. But breakfast is ridiculously limited - 1 egg (fried or scrambled), you need to ask if you want more eggs, some sausage or fish and plain rice, fruits - watermelon and pineapple, orange juice or iced tea, some time they make pancakes - that is all their breakfast selection.

It seems like this hotel is mainly known for their restaurant as the people working there were always asking how many people for dinner when they were seeing us walked in. We rented the family room so we were on the 3rd floor. A few flaw in the room: 1- Water heater keep tripping if it is set above "low", hence hot water is not really hot. After diving is can be quite aggravating. 2- The water tank located on top of our room was quite noisy and we could hear a "plop Plop Plop" sound all night long as the room are really not soundproof. 3- No blockout curtain in the room, hence the big window right next to the bed will shine bright really early which makes it difficult to sleep in. 4- They only provide you with a flat sheet, we understand that the weather is hot, but it is not comfortable. it is nice to sleep under something a bit more heavy. Hence, I put 2 towels on top of my flat sheet in order to sleep. 5- The WIFI keeps tripping, the connection is really not reliable, I don't know it it was the hotel or the network over there so I won't comment too much on this. 6- For breakfast, you get only 1 egg with bread, or 1 egg with rice. I wish I could have a bit more. I could not understand that the food for lunch and dinner was so nice but choice of food for breakfast was really ordinary. On a brighter note, the staff is amazing and really nice. They pay attention to details and they care about you. They did all our booking for us from taxi to boat. They were really nice and knowledgeable. We were able to rent motorbike at 300 pesos per day which was helpful getting around.

The best home for Buffalo Mozzarella in Bohol. We keep coming back for 3 years now in this Restaurant. Located in the quiet side of alona beach but only 7mins walk to the beach. We did not checked in here as we have heard not so good comments with the Accomodation.. Never the less the food is here is superb! The staffs are very Accomodating helpful and informative and very flexible we have been accomodated by the receptionist which also was the waitress at the same time during peak hours . The Pizza here is perfect. Prize is also decent for the quality of food you get. Thank you!

High quality Italian food, home made buffalo mozzarella, great hospitality and fast service, I don’t think I should add any other reason why this is one of the best restaurant in Panglao. Highly recommended!

Resort is close to one kilometers away from Alona beach major restaurants, shops and bars. It's already old and carden was not well kept. Room was ok, but no black out curtains and room door could be opened only partly. Bed was better than average in the resorts in the Philippines but shower room need a update already. Balcony was nice as far smoking policy. Breakfast simple, other foods we got no experience. 50 Euros / night is not the best value resort in Alona. Wi-Fi was running pretty well.
