Detailed Reviews
It is a nice resort with spacy rooms and a good bathroom. You can make your own coffee and tea in the room, and the room has a nice balcony where you can overlook the ocean. The TV has lots of channels, something for everyone. The pool is very nice and of a good size. The beach and the ocean side is covered with sea weeds and was not very attractive for swimming, but I understand that the weeds are a seasonal thing. The pool has a great bartender who can make you a good cocktail. Breakfast is nice with lots of choice. The location of the hotel is a not walking distance to Alona, but the hotel offers a free shuttle service (5-10 mins drive) to Alona a few times a day. All in all a nice stay and I would stay there again.

We are not new with Solea Resorts as we have been staying at Solea Mactan for many times in the past already. However, its our first time to stay at Solea Panglao and we were surprised to experience a wonderful stay here. The staffs were extremely helpful, courteous and polite. The rooms were we stayed were well appointed and clean. The buffet breakfast presents a wide array of food selections for everyone to enjoy. The chocolate drink they call "sikwate" was very flavorful and I highly recommend trying it. The facilities in the resort were all highly maintained and I admire that the pool is cleaned and filtered every morning. The roof deck (they call Salt and Sky) has a 360 degree view of the area and watching the sunset while having your favorite cocktail drink or beer is a view to behold. This is my favorite part of the hotel. Salt and Sky gives you a very relaxing, chill and cool ambiance.
And the hotel has a free shuttle service from their hotel to nearby locations which is very helpful as it saves you money from renting a tricycle to bring you to and from the hotel.
So far, it was a very nice and memorable stay at Solea Coast Resort Panglao.
See you again Solea in the very near future!

Solea is so sweet to take note and set up a mini Happy Birthday surprise for my mom. They also aren't strict on kids and extra person and will only charge for extra breakfast. We were frustrated with Henann who charges 5-9 yo with half of the adult rate (P825) and 10 above with adult rate.
Could have spent our entire stay in Solea wich has a more friendly ambiance and provides better customer service.
We're very much satisfied with our stay in Solea and would recommend this more to our fam & friends compared to Henann.

I am so excited when we booked Solea but got a bit disappointed when we stayed there:
1. It's kinda far from Alona. They offer free shuttle but only until 7pm and the tricab fare is expensive.
2. We arrived early and the receptionist told us to wait until 11 which we did. A group of Koreans arrived and they assisted them immediately and assigned a room for them on the highest floor. We booked their great upgrade promo which entitled us for an upgraded room, however they gave us their normal room which doesn't even have a good view... only the roof of the neighboring inn. We felt kinda discriminated by the receptionists as they talked in their own dialect what room they should assign us.
3. The game room couches are not well maintained. They look filthy.
4. The welcome drinks won't welcome you. You have to redeem it at their bar.
5. The pool and the roofdeck closes early. Right when you're just ready to have a late night drink, they will start fixing the roof deck and put the chairs in their storage.
The housekeepers, buffet servers and staff, bellboys and maintenance people are kind though...

Booking is smooth. room is big as compared to other hotels. Breakfast is buffet (it depends on the occupancy if breakfast buffet or plated, lucky us, it's buffet). The shuttle going to alona is not available 🥺 The view of the premier room is great, overlooking of the sea is relaxing. Everything in the place is well interiored. Good water pressure. The beach, however, is not recommended for swimming. There are lots of boats in the coast. Overall, we are happy with our stay for its price. I recommend this hotel for budget travelers.

Exceptionally clean rooms, welcoming staff, fantastic food! Brought my family for a holiday in Solea Panglao and our experience was amazing. Although their beach front area is quite small, their pool is good size and well maintained. They have a brilliant restaurant serving buffet breakfast with a wide variety of choices. Lunch and dinner are also served a la carte and they are delicious! The staff in Solea are so professional and friendly. Special mention to Lou for making our dinner experience more special — our daughter was pleased with her special cupcake!

Room & bathroom are spacious. A lovely seaview room. Lots of boats( bancas) anchored on the shore in front of this resort. It's not a nice beach to swim. There's 1 restaurant, poolbar & a roof bar with nice view of Danao. Staff are all friendly & nice. Room is clean daily. Location is a little bit remoted. There's nothing interesting in this area of Panglao. It's near the airport. Alona beach is 2,8km.away. During daytime when other guest are away it's quiet. During the evening it could be a little bit loud. You can even hear noise in your room from the hallway & pool area, although balcony door is close. But during nighttime, when everybody sleep it's quiet & you can sleep good. This is a good new resort with some minus points.

We stayed here for an overnight. Their bedroom is lovely. Even though they might have offered a playground for children, the problem is that they are not providing anything for the visitors to do. The food was excellent and I really liked it. à la carte and everything in between. likewise delighted in the pool. I'm hoping they'll provide us with some fun activities since we plan to stay here again so we can make the most of our time at the lovely resort. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Solea is a breath of fresh air - among all hotels we have stayed here in the Philippines, this is the only hotel that gave us a good room with a view. We can enjoy sun bathing outside our balcony, and soaking in the beautiful ocean view! We love waking up in the morning with it, and because of this we extended our stay for another week.
The staff are lovely and polite. The facility is clean, pool is beautiful and breakfast food is always amazing!!!
Yes, this is a however.
However, there are a few little things that do matter that they - not failed - but they do need to improve- first, their menus is very limited. It would be good if they offer grilled food as they are on the beach. The smell of grilled food would definitely tantalise guests to eat! Second, it is a minor detail but they do provide coffee sachets but not teas in the room. They do sell teas for PHP175.
Third, the bucket of ice is not free, they charge it for PHP 60 (this is the first hotel that charges a bucket of ice) . There must be an explanation, but it seems like every little thing has to be charged.
Fourth, mo credit card facilities- everything has to be paid in cash. Even the deposit, which is a bit of an inconvenience. Even though it is still a new hotel, credit card facilities should be a priority before opening. Not all guests carry cash with them.
Despite all these little things, we are still coming back here. We love our room, it is a good reason enough to come back and enjoy our holiday.
