Very nice hotel with friendly service minded staff made this a great stay. The accept laundy at laundy prices (not hotel prices 5X higher). And when my white shirts were destryed because they washed it with red towels and came out pink they even managed to get it white again :-)
Great breakfast at the pool and great pool!. Room was modern and spacy, good shower. Good aircon. Good beds.
No elevator though.
Notice: On the map it looks close to beach but you need to walk around the hotel and cross the best western hotel to get to the beach. Not very far but notice it.

Harmony was a descent economical choice. Rooms were a bit outdated, bathroom stunk due to sewage issues. Not once they clean the room nor changed the towels or bedding in the week long stay. Had to go to front desk to demand fresh towels. Would prob not stay again.

Situated at the heart of Alona, 5 minutes from beach and main bars. Clean rooms serviced regularly with plenty of space. Laundry service available and good breakfast from 8am till 10am. Reception very helpful and friendly. Price bracket about average for this type of room in Alona. Only small issue can be noisy but don’t come to Alona if you want piece and quite.

I stayed ended up staying here 3 nights out of a 5 night booking, and it was 3 nights too long!!!! I was part of a group and the Harmony took an overflow booking as we could not fit the whole group into the first hotel. Right from the beginning there were problems. Firstly they could not locate the booking. After resolving that problem, the room itself was bad. There was a terrible "sewage" type stench coming from the drains in the bathroom. Running the bathroom fan 24hrs didn't improve the smell. The towels stank and I had to request new towels. The air conditioning only had 2 modes of operation, off or full fan speed at the coldest tempature. This meant that the room was either an ice box or sweat box, because the aspect of the room faced the sun throughout the day. The room also had no hot water and the toilet seat was broken. It was a disaster. After complaining twice and with nothing actioned concerning the bathroom smell, lack of hot water and air conditioning I gave up and moved out. While the staff each time would acknowledge the complaint nothing would get actioned. Because I was part of a group booking and therefore did not make the booking nor part of the payment arrangements, when I moved out I informed the front desk as to why I was moving out and that I would pass the key over to the person who booked the hotel and they would see them later that day to address the issue and to settle the account. Later that day I learnt that the owner did not wish to settle the account for 3 days (reputable operators would have provided a discount or waived the charges due to the problems) nor did he wish to settle for the 5 days that were booked but was now demanding 7 days, remember the booking was only for 5 days and I left after 3 days. My friend then informed me that they would refer it to the booking agent for resolution. To our surprise the owner began ringing myself and my friend demanding the 7 day payment and then called police. We were not hiding or trying to rip-off we told them exactly where we were so we could be contacted. It is worth noting that the 5 days are still not over but now he is demanding 7 days. After the police got involved and the situation was explained it even became clear to them that the issue lay at the feet of the Harmony hotel. The most bizarre moment was when we put down the cash in front of the police for the payment for the 5 days the owner was still refusing to settle and provide my friend with a receipt. Maybe he was thinking he could get 2 charges, one via the booking agent and the 2nd in cash. Very crooked and dodgy. The police went and had a word to him and after some time passed he finally produced a receipt. Stay away from this place there are many other better places that one can stay than this sad excuse for a hotel.

The rooms at Harmony hotel, are huge and fairly well furnished, the only thing that appears to seperate budget, standard and deluxe, is fridge and TV. At 1900php, the budget is good value, with no fridge or TV. The standard is 2300php, and has a fridge. The deluxe 3000php, includes fridge and TV.. This means they are charging 400php per night for a fridge, and 700php for a TV, absolutley outrageous. If you can do without the fridge and TV, it is good value. Reasonably close to the beach, with attentive and courteous staff at reception, the restaurant not so much , it seemed like I was intruding on thier peace and quiet when I tried to eat lunch at 11.50 am

As frequent traveler, I always make sure to prepare for my trips so I made a reservation two weeks prior using booking.com and immediately received a confirmation. Everything was well planned. Finally when we reached Bohol last March 17, we first did the day tour before checking in on this hotel. Upon reaching Loboc at around 5:30pm, I called to advise their reservation staff that we will be arriving late evening. I gave my name and confirmation no., however, staff named April Roxas can't find my reservation, I overheard her talking to another colleague using their own dialect that my booking was not in their system. I demand to speak to the owner of the resort and discussed about our concern. I advised him to do something about it since it is not our fault and we should not be suffering all the worries on the poor system. Worst comes to worst we should be given a good option for our accommodation. We expect that everything is well understood. Coming from a long day activity, definitely you will expect to relax and wish to have a good sleep. But this is not what happened...

Upon arrival at 2120H, April simply said that the hotel is really fully booked and there's no way to accommodate us. No apologies mentioned for the inconvenienced cause, though, option was given but not in a hotel. Yes, they look for a place where we can stay but it is only in a transient. We are all girls and definitely we are also concern with our safety. Finally the owner named Martin came down, obviously he was disrupted from his rest that's why his not in the mood to deal with us. Again, no apologies for not accommodating us. Martin arrogantly told us to check first the Cherry Homes and so we decided to go there. Obviously our expectation was not met that's why we asked them to find us a hotel and not just a transient. Cherry homes is too far from the beach front, so quiet and a secluded area. Martin told us that this is the only option so take it or leave it. He cannot help us anymore. He and his staff just simply walked out and left us in the middle of dark road in front of the Cherry homes. The other older lady staff of Harmony hotel even have the nerve to raised her voice to us and talk rudely. Such a vile act!!

The place seemed decent and the reason why we chose this hotel because of good reputation and good customer orientation. Everything fade off, this is a one kind of hotel with "EXTREMELY DREADFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE"... Really worst! I can't blame the line staff for not being customer oriented because the owner itself "Martin" doesn't even know what customer service means.. Hotel shouldn't be your business...

If I am working on this hotel and have been on the same situation, I will apologize for the inconvenienced caused and will do possible means to accommodate them nor find them a more suitable place especially that my customer are all ladies. You should not be thinking that all locals cannot afford to spend..

Not a recommendable hotel!

My family and I have travelled to many parts around Asia working in Korea, my wife from Philippines so we have done many places that are classed as holiday places of the Philippines.
We been to Boracay a couple of times, Palawan (Puerto Princessa and El Nedo), Subic Bay area including Barrio Barreto.
This trip we went Bohol and stayed on Panglao Island.
The place was a 5 minute walk from the beach, so for our son was great, enclosed area far enough from the nightlife but close enough for my wife and I to have a good night out leaving our son with his Nanay. Staff were very friendly and would do anything for you without a hassle. The rooms were very big, I cant say enough about the place.

The Harmony Hotel is absolutely dreadful. We were travelling as part of a group but our main hotel didn't have enough rooms so I booked 2 rooms for extra friends. When we arrived, upon check-in, the receptionist is arguing with another guest because they have overbooked their rooms and have nowhere to put him. We go to check in, none of the staff speak English (apart from hello, goodbye & thank you). They cannot find my reservation so I have to log into my hotmail to show my booking.com reservation. After much confusion they finally give my friend his room.

Upon entering the room, you are hit with a stench of sewerage. We had booked the deluxe room which is on the ground floor and to our horror, we discover the sewerage is backing up into the bathroom. We complained about this, nothing got done about it. Furthermore, there is NO hot water in the room during the entire the stay. He stayed there for 3 nights in these appalling conditions, sewerage stench & cold showers before finally deciding enough was enough and he checked into another hotel.

For our friends in the 2nd room, they were in a standard room which is on the first level. They didn't have the sewerage problem however they too had no hot water for their 4 nights and they got food poisoning from the breakfast they ate on the 30th January.

There was confusion with the bill and when we tried to pay for the accommodation, the owner's son tried to charge the first room for 7 nights rather than 5 nights (despite my friend only staying there for 3 nights). I offered payment for the 5 nights which he refused and told me I had to sort it out with booking.com as my contract is with them. I contacted Booking.com and they were extremely apologetic and told me they would sort it but it would take up to 5 days. In the meantime, the owner's son sent the police to our main hotel that evening complaining we refused to pay! When the police heard our side of the story, they could not believe what they were hearing. We told them we would give them the cash to pay the bill and get a receipt - to the policemen's surprise, the owners son also refused to take payment off them! Eventually they 'convinced' him to accept the payment for the 5 nights. Furthermore - the Harmony Hotel had re-sold my friend's room for those last 2 nights to another poor guest... so they double dipped on the room and we paid for absolutely nothing.

Seriously - do yourself a favour - DO NOT STAY HERE. It will ruin your holiday. The only consistency at the Harmony Hotel was guests complaining and receptionists arguing. There are 2 other hotels in the direct vicinity, the stand out being The Golden Palm which is around the same price and is extremely modern, clean and far superior to this dump they call the Harmony Hotel.

We arrived and was told that they were overbooked as they forgot to state that they are full with agoda! So we were offered the manager's room which is not what you expect a hotel room to look like. The manager's room which came with a hall had a worker staying in the hall. The paid price was meant for a room to ourselves, not sharing with some other person. They are still trying to sort this out. Very bad experience with the way the handle the situation.

Stayed here a few nights while visiting family. It's a small hotel build around a nice swimming pool and in walking distance from the beach. Rooms are spacious and clean, breakfast is good and a the hotel has a friendly staff. Will definitely stay here again next time visiting Bohol.. A nice place!
