I peaceful place with a friendly staff and good food.
A short walk to the beach with few people.
It’s a plus to rent a bike so you can explore the nice surroundings of Santander.
The only bad thing is that it has no WiFi and signal sucks. So prepare to be of the grid.

Let me start by saying we almost didn't come, there was a stage 2 tropical storm warning when we left Cebu city with the storm tracker saying it would pass over Dumaguette, a small town 10 km from The Farm. The road trip south along the national highway, was interesting with a tree across the road about halfway with a 3 k tailback. Lots of Ceris buses, if your a motorbike rider, better known as the yellow death.

Lucky for us the storm decided to swing north and pass over Mactan island / Cebu City instead. The Farm is basic but as most small family run resorts, super friendly and make you feel like friends not clients. It had only been open 3 months, it shows, the flood diversion wall was only half built, the grounds were a patchwork of starter grass in a sea of mud, did I mention the tropical storm it passed 100 k to the north but still dropped 20 cm on the Farm, thus the sea of mud. Given sun and rainfall it will be nice grass in 3 more months.

This is a basic resort, brand new, clean with super attentive staff, only 4 rooms, and a restaurant bar, forget the pool, doesn't have one, forget the beach it's so so, you could call it a sand flat, as you would walk 100 meters to get to swimming depth. The only alternate nightlife has 6 legs and crawls. Then why am I here? I brought my three young kids to learn to scuba dive and the team that owns this resort run Neptune diving as well. So it made commercial sense, it's inexpensive, super quiet and my kids need a reality check on holiday accommodation.

Do not come here if your Gen Y looking to party, but if you want a refreshingly simple time and want to learn to Dive, it's unbeatable. The instructors were Swedish and German, the course was professional Padi to a high standard. No regrets, I love the place.

The in house restaurant serves simple Filipino food, but if you crave a more structured restaurant, catch the fast ferry to Dumaguette there are some great restaurants 20 minutes by ferry, just make sure you go early and catch the last 9pm ferry back. This is very important or you wait til 7am for the next one.

After arriving at the hotel I was met by the Owner, just friendly, social, and very knowledgeable of the surrounding areas. I love the resort for the quiet and ability to unplug and disconnect from the device based world. The rooms were extremely clean with cold air conditioning and a comfortable bed. The food was amazing at a cheaper then fair price and breakfast was served with home made bread and not local store bought. If you are into the supernatural beliefs of The Philippines the resort is about a kilometer to a port so that you can visit Siquijor and even return the same day or less then 100 kilometers to go swimming with the whale sharks or use the partner dive shop. All and all, I am going back next month for another weekend trip.

What a lovely surprise! The farm is a quiet little hotel located at the south tip of the Cebu island. If you like a quiet, remote place, this would be perfect for you. This is a family business where the mom and daughter are the cooks, receptionists. They are so sweet. This was our base for our whale shark watching in oslob and apo island. Short ride to the port. The photos online does not do a fair justices on how cute and well maintained this place is.

Pros: friendly staff, good food, clean room with western bathrooms, high ceiling w a fan, air conditioner, good wifi connection, free breakfast, no mosquitos in the room.

Cons: can't think of anything other than it's not walking distance to the port or Oslob.

Stayed for a night before going to Sumilon Island to dive the next day. There's not much to do here. Just enjoy a private place. If you have been to Moalboal and have eaten at Lantaw Restaurant, you will recognize the menu and the taste of the food.. It's almost exactly the same and as good. We enjoyed our time here.

Was too much isolated, no internet connection (even it was written in the ads) no water on the basin in the bathroom, no TV , beach not usable because far and non good for swim.
Booked 3 nights but after the first decided to go back to Cebu, even informed with 1 day in advance, the structure wanted to apply a penalty even Booking.com did not required for it.

I don't know why people recommended this place. It was a bit far from the port, not in walk in distance. Nothing to do nearby. Wifi is available only in the lobby but it was so weak. In addition, even though I hadn't prepared yet and stiil had the time, the staff asked me to pay first. The only think I liked is the food.
