We were traveling as a group of 7 in the Philippines and thought we would treat ourselves to a private island just for us. It was really worth every penny! The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The Owner Martin is very sociable and friendly, with him we enjoyed spending time eating or chatting in between. He has and kindly also organized a van for the onward journey.
The food was fantastic! We had a lunch by the sea and also a dinner by the sea, the food was always fresh and the selection was excellent. There was nothing we did not like, although we were not familiar with Filipino cuisine. The rooms were great, even equipped with shower gel etc. The honeymoonsuite left our friends unfortunately with a common will, because here a few spiders crawled out at dusk, this is not everyone's thing to sleep so openly, but a super great view! The other rooms were lockable, so no spiders. There is a lot to discover, such as the bay or the Stairs to heaven where you have a fantastic view from above. We were completely more than satisfied with the stay on Floral Island and would love to come back anytime. I can only recommend this experience to anyone!

You can see for yourself in the photos how great the place looks. What you cannot see is the fact that the staff is highly attentive, very kind and goes beyond what is necessary (thanks Jean and Ramona!). We had the best experience here.

There are no words to completely capture how amazing our experience on Floral Island truly was. Flew into the El Nido airport and transportation was arranged for us . Be prepared it is an hour -hour and a half ride. There were 24 of us so we utilized all the buildings on the island. All the accommodations were comfortable even without air conditioners we all managed to get a good night sleep. The staff took great care of us and we were always well fed. The food for the most part was Filipino dishes and they were always delicious. We encouraged the chef to do a “Floral Island Cookbook”. While on the island we booked massages and booked the private island tour. There is a reef just off the pier and a small beach off the main part of island for swimming. Our last night was truly magical where the staff outdid themselves and set up a bonfire and dinner on the beach. We are all trying to find away to visit Floral Island once again!

What can I say about this special place... from the moment you arrive you are instantly in relax mode. A whole island all to yourself with your friends. The island is immaculate, villas are quaint and well put together.
The staff on the island are second to non making you feel as though you are one of the family.
I stayed on this island with a great group of friends. Enjoyed every moment of the trip with fabulous food and service, great hosts and memorable experiences.
Martin and Floral are fantastic hosts. Loved spending late nights having conversations and good laughs.
Amazing stars at night sat around the fire pit and spectacular island trips with beach lunches.
Such a special spot that I really don’t want to share as it gives you a feeling that it is all yours while you are there which is exactly what it is.
Thank you for a wonderful holiday and we’ll see you all real soon.

My friends and I spent a week at this resort around New Years Eve 2018 and it was absolutely AMAZING. The resort is located on Talacanen, a beautiful small island off the town of Taytay on the eastern side of Palawan, and aside from a few local fishermen families who live on the other side of the island, you get the island all to yourself. The resort is gorgeous and has all necessary services: lovely and clean bungalows, delicious food and drinks (chef Brian is spectacular), decent wifi in the main area, great massage (Alona is amazing!), laundry services, generator in case the power is out. You can go snorkeling (there's a nice stretch of coral reef in front of the resort with lots of fish and clams), coral planting (the resort is trying hard to revitalize the coral in the area damaged by years of dynamite and cyanide fishing), kayaking around the island, island hopping nearby on the eastern side of Palawan or on the western side off El Nido...
Just as amazing as the place itself are the hosts and the staff. The owners, Flora, Martin, and Philip, were so incredibly welcoming, helpful, and patient with our big group of people (all the different and frequently changing needs and preferences); they literally made us feel like part of the family. The staff was super sweet and friendly as well.
I would highly recommend this place. Already miss it and everyone on it!

We spent over a week on the island and we had an absolutely amazing time. Floral Island is a quaint, beautiful, family-run resort, great for couples or small groups of up to 16 people. It is located about 30 minutes off the mainland and has so much to offer - romantic, elegant and perfectly maintained bungalows, best food I had anywhere in Philippines, great cocktails, beach, kayaks, and a beautiful coral reef full of sea life. Most importantly, our hosts - Flora, Martin and Philip - made us feel like we were part of their family and went out of their way to make our stay care-free and special.
We had the island to ourselves (exclusivity seems to be the policy in this resort). The hosts and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Make sure to spend more than one night there - there is much to see and enjoy!
Flora, Martin and Philip - thank you for this unforgettable experience.

I never thought I would go on a holiday on my own private island. Yet, that was the case on Floral Island. We (family of 6 adults) spent 4 days at Floral Island where the small island resort was just .... for us. We had a very relaxing time enjoying the snorkelling, beaches, sunset from the top of the hill and also fishing (and eating) sea urchins with the help of Josh. Staff and owners were very friendly and attentive. The food was very good, actually the best we had in the Phillipines. Super experience, highly recommended.

Had the island all to ourselves. The staff members were all awesome - especially Irish.
Special thanks to Miss Flora, the owner, for being so nice. The food and rooms were great. It’s also cool to know that they are rehabilitating the island by taking care of the corals that was damaged by illegal fishing before. Baby sharks and turtles are visible even when the water was just like waist deep 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 kudos!

We went here as two couples and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. First things first - we loved the staff, the service, the amazing food, and the peace and quiet. The corals along the shore are fantastic for snorkeling and we also took a day trip around the island for turtles and caves etc.which was great. We celebrated two birthdays here and the staff took extra care to make them both special with a beautiful setting and amazing food. The only downsides are that there is no air conditioning, the rooms can be a bit uncomfortable, the sand is not really a beach and the water pressure in some of the rooms was very low. But regardless, it was a stellar experience for us and we highly recommend it for a group that enjoys good local food with loads of peace and quiet and privacy.

Just an amazing spot and with incredibly wonderful hosts and staff. Cant say enough good things about the 5 days i spent here snorkeling, boating, and exploring. With authentic Philippine food at every dinner, and lovely evenings with a fire by the water, it is truly a gem of a destination.
