Afrique Hotel is not right on the main road or at a bus stop making it excellent because there is no noise from the busy main road. The staff are really polite and helpful and would go above and beyond to ensure your stay is pleasant. The rooms are spacious and have a TV, Mosquito net, hot shower, a table and chair if you may wish to work from your room, there is also WiFi however it is on and off which was my main and only issue with the place. Their restaurant has some good food breakfast is adequate, their chicken fried rice and also dry fried chicken were my best pick off their menu. However there are some local joints that serve local food (kienyeji) that is really good if you want a break from the hotel food one is at green garden adjacent to the office of the Governor (dry fried fish and ugali)and another is called Texas (dry fried local chicken and ugali). The hotel is a walking distance from the boarder and is also near a supermarket. I would definitely recommend this place and return.... Its costs are quite fair with a number of accommodation options.

Everything from the ambience, food, service were impeccable. The staff are awesome, they are very courteous, even offered to take our bags to the room while we enjoyed drinks at their restaurant to cool off from the scorching sun. Breakfast in the morning was very delicious, and to top it off they had even washed our car when we were leaving. I will definitely recommend this place. Oh and their amenities are all up to date and the decor is beautiful. Nice gem in the bustling city. Love the place.....
