Average stay - clean and all amenities good but …we paid for most expensive room as a treat for ourselves. It was a lovely room but at around £180 there was no breakfast included. The staff and check in was all good, room gorgeous and well appointed BUT beware this most expensive room is above the kitchens and when the restaurant is open you have jet engine thrumming noise and vibration all the time - ruined our stay completely. The road was noisy too and church bells ring all night. Such a shame this is not mentioned when booking as I would stay again but in a cheaper room to avoid the unpleasant kitchen noise. Not good and felt a little peeved when I complained and was told - yes it does. Bother some guests but …. It goes off when the kitchen closes (not really good enough for £180 a night no breakfast price tag)

Absolutely wonderful place however the food was over complicated and lacked any knowledge of what tastes good together and the management were for to up their own backsides and arrogant/ignorant/rude when questioned regarding various items .

An amazing experience from check in to department. My Daughter and her bridal party all stayed here. Without exception the whole experience was faultless. The in house restaurant " Luigi's" was also on point. On behalf of my Daughter and all of us, thanks for an amazing few days.

We had a one night stay en route to family. We stayed in The Limes Room, which was probably a barn at some time. Simply stunning old beams and a lovely room. It would be worth every penny of the upgrade from a standard room, but the owners gave it complimentary, thank you. The minibar is also complimentary, a nice touch.

Absolutely amazing experience and what sets this hotel aside to others is the customer service received was excellent, from check in to check out outstanding service provided and by far one of the best ever breakfasts served. The accommodation is clean, spacious and they offer free parking too. Absolute hidden gem.

This was our first trip to Maldon and we were booked in for one night. Our room was cosy and comfortable with a lovely en suite shower room and the supplied toiletries were very nice. Fluffy bath sheets were also on hand. We had a very nice breakfast with amazing coffee. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be returning!

We stayed at the Limes for 2 nights whilst visiting friends and family. Easy parking and check in. Wow what a beautiful room indeed!!!! Four poster bed, beautiful bathroom and gorgeous furniture all through. The little touches were wonderful, coffee machine with plentiful pods, kettle, selection of teas and FRESH MILK in the fridge as well as complimentary soft drinks, beers and chilled water. The decanter with deserrano liquor for a nightcap was a wonderful touch. We paid for breakfast included and oh was that a delicious treat......plentiful and so amazing!!!!All the staff were so friendly and welcoming an asset to your lovely guest house. I highly recommend to stay here if you are in the area, We will definitely be back.
